Scottish Drag Queen “Miss Kitty Swallows” On Trial For Child Sexual Abuse Offenses

A drag queen has appeared in a Scottish court after being charged with child sex offenses. Craig Baxter, who performed under the name Miss Kitty Swallows, had worked in multiple nurseries and childcare centers in his community.

Baxter was first taken into custody in October of 2025 after a local predator hunting group in Paisley became aware of concerning allegations against him. According to Scottish Daily Express coverage at the time, the group, Fighting Justice Against Predators, had been at an unrelated protest in the Johnstone area when they were approached by multiple children who claimed they were being groomed online.

Jo Drennan, 37, told the paper: “Our group were out at a protest when some wee boys came up to us. They said they were getting groomed online. All the kids know us in Renfrewshire. They know we are there to keep them safe and they trust us. One of the wee boys then sent us quite a lot of stuff.”

After briefly reviewing the evidence, Drennan called the police and Baxter was taken into custody that same day.

At the time of his arrest, Baxter had been working at a nursery. Local parents on Facebook reported that he had worked at multiple childcare institutions around Paisley, including Abbey Nursery, Douglas Street Early Learning and Childcare Centre, Glencoats Lodge, and Kirklandneuk Early Learning Childcare Centre. He was terminated from his job shortly after his arrest.

While the allegations against Baxter are related to children under 15, it has been confirmed that none of the incidents involve children that were in the care of the nursery he was employed at.

Following his arrest, he was released on bail and has been allowed to remain in the community while his trial is ongoing.

While details on the case are currently limited, it is known that Baxter is facing two charges. The first has been brought under Sections 33 and 34 of the Sexual Offences (Scotland) Act 2009. Under Section 33, it is an offence to make a child aged 13 to 15 view a sexual image. Section 34 covers cases where an adult deliberately sends or directs indecent sexual messages—whether written or spoken—to a child within the same age range.

The second allegation has been brought under Section 1 of the Protection of Children and Prevention of Sexual Offences (Scotland) Act 2005, which relates to arranging or attempting to arrange a meeting with a person under 16 for sexual purposes.

Appearing in court on Tuesday, Baxter made no plea as prosecutors reviewed the charges, noting that he had caused a minor to look at a pornographic or sexual image. According to the Scottish Sun, the case against him was continued to allow prosecutors to investigate further.

In addition to working with children, Baxter performed as a drag queen at local bars and venues under the moniker “Miss Kitty Swallows.” Since his arrest, most of the listings advertising his performances, along with his personal Facebook, have been deleted.

While Scottish media have claimed he was exclusively an “adult” performer, Reduxx has located minutes from a 2023 Parent Council meeting at Irvine Royal Academy revealing that Baxter was involved in a fundraiser for the school.

Baxter is not the first Scottish drag queen to face criminal charges for child sexual abuse-related offenses.

As previously reported by Reduxx, a drag queen who co-authored a guide for “trans youth” for a major Scottish LGBT charity was charged and ultimately convicted of distributing child pornography in 2024. The sexual abuse materials found in Easton’s possession included images and videos of newborn babies, toddlers, and prepubescent children.

Following his conviction, it was revealed that Easton had previously worked with LGBT Youth Scotland. The charity was exposed by Reduxx in 2022 for participating in the alleged grooming and sexual exploitation of two minor boys who had been accessing their services.
