Trans Serial Killer Seen With Severed Limb in New Surveillance Footage: NYPD

A transgender serial killer who was detained in connection to the murder and dismemberment of a woman was caught sitting on a severed human leg while shopping prior to his arrest, new surveillance released by the NYPD reveals.

Harvey Marcelin, an 83-year-old biological male who identifies as a woman, was arrested on March 4 on a charge of concealing a body, and could soon face additional charges after he was caught on surveillance disposing of a body near his apartment. The victim, 68-year-old Susan Leyden, was murdered and then dismembered, with parts of her body being found scattered around the Brooklyn neighborhood of Cypress Hills soon after she went missing on February 27.

Leyden’s headless torso was found in a shopping cart blocks away from Marcelin’s apartment on March 3, prompting police to get a search warrant for Marcelin’s apartment, where her head was located as well as a number of saws and bloody sheets. A human leg was found in the area stuffed in a discarded tire on the street on March 7, though police have not confirmed whether this limb also belonged to Leyden.

On Friday, the NYPD held a press conference with updates on the gruesome crime in which they released surveillance footage from a retail store featuring Marcelin. In it, Marcelin is seen utilizing a motorized wheelchair with what appears to be a severed human leg on the seat, visible when Marcelin stands from the chair to look at products.

During the conference, Kings County District Attorney Eric Gonzalez introduced Marcelin as a “female” and stated he was “born a male, but prefers the pronoun ‘miss.'” Gonzalez uses feminine pronouns to refer to Marcelin throughout, and often refers to him as a “female person of interest.”

Marcelin has a long history of grisly crimes, and was on lifetime parole when he committed the most recent murder.

In 1963, Marcelin was arrested for attempted rape. The case was dropped after the victim did not show up to court, but laster on that year Marcelin would be convicted of shooting his then-girlfriend, Jacqueline Bonds, inside their Manhattan apartment. He was sentenced to 20 years to life and was paroled in 1984. After his release, he went on to stab another female sexual partner to death, stuffing her corpse in a garbage bag and then dumping it on the street near Central Park.

Marcelin was arrested in 1986 for the second slaughter, but released from prison in 2019, once again on parole. According to the New York Post, at the time, he allegedly told a parole officer that he had “a problem with women.”

Marcelin is now being held without bail on Riker’s Island. According to the Daily Mail, Marcelin is being represented by Legal Aid.

While it is unclear when Marcelin began identifying as a woman, in January 2022, New York Governor Kathy Hochul proposed a policy which would allow trans-identifying male inmates to be transferred into women’s prisons on the basis of a self-declared “gender identity.”

The policy states that inmates who have a ‘gender identity’ that differs from their biological sex will have the right to request placement in prison housing “with persons of the gender that is consistent with such person’s gender identity.”

Inmates who claim a transgender status also must “have access to department-issued undergarments and clothing that are consistent with the individuals’ gender identity, and shall have the ability to receive undergarments, clothing and personal care items through package procedures,” according to Hochul’s $216.3 billion budget proposal, which covers the state Department of Correctional Services and Supervision (DOCCS).

Plastic Surgeon Arrested After Teen Girl’s Surgery-Related Death

A Colorado plastic surgeon and nurse responsible for a botched breast augmentation surgery in 2019 that led to the death of teenage patient Emmalyn Nguyen have been arrested and charged.

Nguyen visited the Colorado Aesthetic and Plastic Surgery for a breast augmentation surgery on August 1, 2019, the Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office said. During the procedure she suffered cardiac arrest after being administered anesthesia.

According to authorities, surgeon Dr. Geoffrey Kim did not call for emergency help, nor did he take her to the hospital for about five hours as he continued the breast augmentation.

A 2019 lawsuit filed by the Nguyen family claimed that the doctors left her “unobserved” for 15 minutes after they administered the anesthesia, during which time she went into cardiac arrest, turned blue, and stopped breathing.

The teen suffered brain damage and fell into a coma. She was unable to speak, walk or feed herself and required around-the-clock medical care. On October 4, 2020, fourteen months after the surgery, Emmalyn Nguyen died.

“It appears that Emmalyn stopped breathing because of improper anesthesia, administered by a nurse instead of an anesthesiologist,” David Woodruff, the attorney representing Nguyen’s parents, told PEOPLE in 2019. “But the worst thing is she appears to have been left unattended, not breathing, for up to 15 minutes. It caused her to suffer a massive anoxic brain injury.”

Medical authorities said that both Dr. Kim and nurse anesthetist Rex Meeker had an obligation to contact emergency services.

Dr. Kim has been charged with reckless manslaughter and first-degree aggravated assault, both felonies, while Meeker was charged with reckless manslaughter. Kim turned himself in last month and was released on a $5,000 bond.

Last year, Dr. Kim and Meeker agreed to pay $1 million each to the family as part of a settlement, CBS Denver reported. Attorney Woodruff said most of the money would go towards medical bills.

“We opened this case in August 2019. The investigation has taken more than two years to complete and involved dozens of interviews and search warrants,” Captain Travis Stewart, of the Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office said in a press release. “Our hope is that this will be the beginning of bringing justice and a sense of closure to Emmalyn’s family.”

According to the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery Global Survey Results, breast augmentation is the most popular surgical procedure globally. In 2018, plastic surgeons performed nearly 2 million breast augmentations, which accounted for 17.6% of the total cosmetic surgical procedures. From 2014 to 2018, a 27.6% rise in case volume was observed. In 2018, 98.8% of those operations were performed on women, over half of whom were 19–34-years old.

Research published in 2019 in the journal Current Psychology established a correlation between social media use and a desire for cosmetic surgery, and noted that at present there exists “a large body of research” that has “documented the influence of traditional media formats on young women’s consideration of cosmetic surgery.”

Another 2020 study found that the use of social media among young women motivated their decision to undergo breast augmentation, stating, “Social media influences patients’ education and decisions to undergo breast augmentation, with Instagram being the most impactful.”

Canadian BDSM Fetishist Advised Hospital Staff on Gender Inclusivity

A top Canadian hospital affiliated with the University of Toronto partnered with a transgender BDSM fetishist to advise on gender inclusivity and create training videos for staff which were subsidized by taxpayers.

Nina Arsenault has been described as “one of Canada’s most celebrated transsexuals.” In addition to being a publicly-funded artist, Arsenault has been a recurring guest speaker at universities in Canada and the United States. Arsenault is known for claiming to have had over 60 cosmetic surgery procedures, totaling over $200,000. In the past, Arsenault has stated that he derives sexual pleasure from being surgically objectified and compared plastic surgery to intercourse.

As a performance artist, Arsenault has publicly engaged in sadomasochistic practices, including starvation and self-flagellation by whip, a practice commonly found in BDSM. Other performances are overtly sexual in nature and include near to total nudity and mimicry of sex acts.

In 2010, Arsenault gave a presentation for Idea City in Toronto, saying: “I am not attempting to manufacture a journey of empowerment… and I explore my body as an object.”

“I started objectifying my body at a very young age, probably about 3 or 4 years old, because I knew that I had the spirit of a young girl inside me, but the body of a boy,” he continued. “I think of imagery, it’s in my mind, and then I check in with what’s happening inside my body. My body will respond to the thoughts with sensation.”

“It’s very exciting… what’s happening inside my genitals. The images that arouse in me the greatest sensation, those are the things that I create art from. My art is not created from a place where I’m trying to ease the suffering of other women,” Arsenault said.

In his play The Silicone Diaries, Arsenault describes being shown a Playboy magazine at the age of five by older boys as one of his formative memories. “There are tiny bits of crumpled, glossy, paper, naked women’s bodies, blowing on the breeze… I know that this is exactly what I will be when I grow up.”

In another monologue, Arsenault says, “I live for beauty. I have suffered for it; the suffering is sadomasochistic. The pain of it is thrilling, the endurance, the feats to achieve it have been very much a part of it.”

Despite an admitted obsession with cosmetic surgery and an affinity for sadomasochism, Arsenault was selected to advise Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto on gender-inclusive care, as well as to be involved in the production of a training video for staff that was released at the beginning of 2014 and has been on their website as a resource ever since.

In the video, Arsenault is seen wearing heavy drag makeup and donning black leather gloves. He plays a patient refusing to answer a nurse’s questions about his birth sex. The camera pans to his hands as he angrily squeezes the magazine he’s holding, as though holding back from striking her. The nurse patiently explains the reason for requiring this information. This video was uploaded to YouTube directly by Mount Sinai, and were subsidized by the Toronto Central Local Health Integration Network (TCLHIN), a government-funded organization.

In addition to the sensitivity training video, Arsenault has lectured staff at Mount Sinai on the topic of ‘transphobia.’

A video uploaded to YouTube from Arsenault’s account features clips from an annual talk he gave to York University students from 2007 to 2012 for a class called Introduction to Critical Sexualities, which Arsenault describes as “combined semiotics with some real life stories and my history as a sex worker.” Arsenault used the income he earned through the sex industry to fund his surgeries.

In one course, titled The Eroticization of MTF Transsexuals by Heterosexual Men, Arsenault discussed men with attractions to trans-identified males.

“We think of our sexualities as something natural that we’re born with. But how can you be born with an attraction to people’s bodies who don’t even exist in nature? When I see female porn stars, those bodies don’t exist in nature either,” Arsenault states, continuing: “There are different things heterosexual men who are attracted to us can do with us. These are transgressive pleasures. Very specifically, he can suck d*ck and he can get f*cked in the a**. The male prostate is situated back there.”

Arsenault once dated infamous Canadian criminal Luka Magnotta, who was sentenced to life in prison for the brutal murder of university student Jun Lin in 2012. Magnotta created a snuff porn film of the killing, depicting the victim tied to a bed frame being repeatedly stabbed with an ice pick and a kitchen knife, then dismembered, followed by acts of necrophilia and cannibalism.

Magnotta was attempting to recreate the murder scene from the 1992 film Basic Instinct, committing the killing as though he were Sharon Stone’s character Catherine Tramell, and had used the surname as a pseudonym. As a fugitive fleeing Canadian authorities in France, Magnotta disguised himself as a woman.

In 2012, Arsenault spoke with TV host Dr. Drew about his relationship with Magnotta. Arsenault blamed drugs for Magnotta’s violent behavior and said, “Luka’s actions obviously are very extreme, but I don’t think it’s an extreme desire for people in our culture to want to be famous.”

Etsy Shop Selling “Tucking” Underwear For Toddlers

An independent Etsy shop is under fire after screenshots of a review for their “tucking” underwear intended for “transgender kids” began circulating on social media.

On March 11, a member of the Parents of Transgender/Non-Binary Kids Facebook group posted a review of specialty underwear ordered from Etsy intended to help a trans-identified male child “tuck” their penis. The parent was recommending the product to any other users interested, and included a link to the store they’d bought them from.

In the review, the parent noted that they’d purchased a set of the “tucking” underwear for their 6 year old child.

The shop, FGCostumeDesign on Etsy, sells the underwear as small as a toddler size 3 according to the Facebook review, but the shop currently has US kids size 4 and up in stock.

The description for the product, titled “Underwear for Transgender Kids,” reads: “This really gives a very nice smooth flat front even if you wear legging this hides everything. Fits well and tucks nicely with a really cute print. The panties have a front padded panel to compress the genitals, they were designed for comfort so that you do not have to tuck.”

In one review listed on the product’s page, a customer says they purchased a pair of underwear for a child who has just started potty training. According to the Mayo Clinic, children are usually ready to begin potty training between the ages of 18 to 24 months.

The screenshot of the Facebook review began circulating on Twitter today, with many users outraged, but also confused as to why the product was even necessary. Dozens of replies to a LibsofTikTok post about the screenshot stated that it was tantamount to child abuse.

“This can cause irreversible testicular damage,” Daniel Brammer wrote of the underwear, “The son will live with a disability for the rest of his life because of their abuse.”

Another user wrote, “The horror stories of the children who survive this abuse will start coming out in about another ten years.”

While the source of much of the online outrage due to the Facebook review, FGCostumeDesign isn’t the only Etsy shop selling tucking underwear intended for children and does sell other non-trans related products. Merchant Rainbow Rears is another shop, but dedicated solely to selling “gender affirming” products such as tucking underwear, as well as other undergarments such as “tween” chest binders.

In 2021, a craft store called StitchBug Studios became the target of social media outrage after their site was found to be selling fabric “packers” — small, crocheted penises — intended for use by extremely young girls who allegedly identified as transgender and wished to exhibit the appearance of a male genital bulge.

The prothetic penises were so small that the shop demonstrated them on a teddy bear wearing toddler-sized superhero underwear.

UK: Trans-Identified Male Charged With Assault, Exposing Penis

A man has been handed a suspended prison sentence after parading down a Staffordshire street with his penis exposed, and assaulting multiple people.

Shaye Sims, a male who identifies as a woman, was arrested June 18 of last year after a short spree of public indecency and assault. The 31-year-old was asked to leave a local pub after breaking COVID-19 policies, but didn’t do so quietly.

According to the Daily Record, Sims threw his glassware across the establishment, spat in the landlord’s face multiple times, and physically assaulted the security staff. After being ejected, Sims kicked at the bar’s door until it was almost unhinged.

After being turned out to the street, Sims removed his underwear and lifted up his dress to expose his genitals as he walked in plain sight of many people. Sims was arrested after a brief pursuit by police in which he was tracked by CCTV operators.

The crime spree occurred just two months before Sims was sentenced to a two-year community order after a separate offense in which he admitted to dealing cannabis and amphetamine. Sims has been sentenced to to pay £150 compensation to each of her three victims and a £128 victims surcharge, as well as a suspended 5 month prison sentence. The suspension means Sims will not serve any jail time so long as he complies with certain conditions and does not break them within 12 months.

Coverage of the event led the Daily Record to face backlash from women on social media, as the outlet uniformly referred to Sims as a ‘woman’ and by ‘she/her’ pronouns, even when referring to his male genitals.

“Stop insulting women with this nonsense,” user @GillianKeel1 wrote, “There is nothing that says you have to refer to this person as “she,” you are choosing to do so. Stop it.”

Many called upon the Daily Record to provide clear, accurate reporting, and not place the onus for a male’s crime on women.

Why not report on this type of incident by referring to trans people as trans identified?” user @MandiganA suggested, “You don’t need to say male or man – the penis detail makes their sex clear. But this person is not female nor a woman, and reporting them as such is inaccurate.”

Other UK-based outlets that reported on Sims’ charges also referred to him as ‘woman’ or ‘female.’

Trans-Identified Male Arrested For Hammer Attack on Asian Man

A man arrested after launching a brutal, unprovoked attack on an Asian man on a New York subway platform has now been arrested for the heinous crime.

On March 9, New York Police Department arrested Christian Jeffers, 48, and charged him with assault, aggravated harassment and menacing — all with hate crime designations — and criminal possession of a weapon, according to authorities. Jeffers is male but identifies as a woman.

Jeffers was caught on camera Tuesday night in a wig and purple lipstick attacking an Asian man with a hammer on a subway platform in the Chelsea neighborhood of Manhattan. He was arrested less than 24 hours later on Wednesday, March 9. Prior to this incident, Jeffers had 47 previous convictions dating back to 2007.

Jeffers was released from prison last summer after serving nearly six years on a second-degree robbery conviction. Just over a week later, he was again detained for petit larceny, according to the New York Post.

Other prior charges include prostitution, grand larceny, and public lewdness.

“I want to get him locked up because he was pretty aggressive,” the victim of the hammer attack said, speaking to the New York Post.

“He ended up bumping into me and then after that, he turned around trying to get into my face pretty aggressively, and in that kind of process he ended up stepping on me,” the victim explained. “He stepped on my foot and then after that, he took out the hammer and then I was hit on the head.

“I didn’t see the hammer. I just saw him reaching into a bag, pulled something out,” he continued. “It happened, like, too quick for me to react.”

Jeffers, wearing a wig, can be seen in the video yelling at the victim: “Why you hit me? Why you f***ing hit me?”

A photo taken at the scene just after the assault shows the man sitting on the floor and being tended to by paramedics, his head and face bloodied.

During his arraignment on Friday, prosecutors revealed that Jeffers allegedly attacked the victim on Tuesday “with little to no provocation.” Jeffers’ crime was just the latest in a growing trend of attacks on people of predominantly Asian heritage in New York City. Just last week, a man was charged with attacking 7 Asian-American women in a hate crime spree.

Jeffers is currently being detained at the Eric M. Taylor Center, a facility for males, and is held at a $340,000 bail.

TikTok Doctor Performed Breast Removal on “Trans” 13 Year Old Girl

Disturbing details uncovered by internet sleuths found that a surgeon infamous for advertising invasive “gender affirming” procedures on TikTok removed the breasts of a 13 year old girl, who is now also pursuing a hysterectomy at age 15.

Dr. Sidhbh Gallagher, a Miami-based plastic surgeon, rose to internet fame after making quirky TikToks aimed at minors, primarily girls, pursuing “gender affirming” procedures. She became most associated with her infamous catchphrase – “yeeting the teets” – a flippant, joking way to refer to performing cosmetic mastectomies, or breast removals, to her primarily underage female audience.

On December 15, KiwiFarms user Falling Star made a disturbing find which they write indicates Dr. Gallagher performed a cosmetic mastectomy on a minor girl.

Following the path of a review left for Dr. Gallagher which included the patient’s social media links with ample information on the minor’s personal details, Falling Star noticed social media posts indicating the reviewer had been just 13 years old when Gallagher had operated on her.

In a trail of Reddit comments, the girl, whose social details won’t be shared here, states she had started testosterone at 13, but had been seeing psychiatrists since she was 5 and had also been attending a gender clinic “for a few years.”

Perhaps most disturbingly, the girl is actively pursuing a hysterectomy – a total removal of the uterus – and states she will “likely have it by 15.”

In the post, the girl seeks advice from other female-to-male transgenders who have had hysterectomies before age 17, and notes she has already been in touch with a “social worker” who is helping her find proper insurance coverage for the permanent, irreversible procedure.

The girl, whose social media information will not be shared here, is also a top moderator of the phalloplasty subreddit – a board dedicated to female-to-male transgenders seeking and discussing the surgical creation of a penis for the purposes of gender affirmation.

On Dr. Gallagher’s website, she states that minors are welcome to consult at her office with the permission of parents and the “recommendation of the patient’s mental health professional.” Letters recommending surgical intervention for gender identity concerns can be acquired online from certified mental health providers and/or surgeons for as little as $150.

According to Gallagher’s site, “it may well be much more detrimental to the patient to wait until the age of 18 for surgery.”

Reduxx staff contacted Dr. Gallagher’s office, posing as parents looking for “top surgery” options for their 13 year old non-binary child.

Despite explicitly providing the child’s age, the clinic attempted to book a consultation with us, noting that the cost of the surgery would be around $10,000.

For comment, Reduxx reached out to Sinead Watson, a vocal member of an active and growing online community of detransitioners – people who ended their gender transition after feeling regret.

“Let’s call this what it is: child abuse.” Watson says, “How can you take someone who obviously has so much developing to do and [claim] she understands the long-term, permanent ramifications of cross-sex hormones and surgeries? How can you alter someone’s body surgically when their body hasn’t finished growing yet? It’s cruel.”

In her own experience, Watson had taken testosterone for 3 years after deciding she was male, but later realized her feelings came from a struggle with misogyny and trauma. Watson has described having been immediately “affirmed” by clinicians, with all of them failing to investigate her history of trauma, suicidal ideation, and other mental wellness concerns.

Calling Dr. Gallagher “unprofessional and predatory” for advertising surgeries to minors on TikTok, Watson notes that “she obviously knows the primary consumers are going to be young … and she makes [surgery] sound like it’s no big deal.” Watson goes on to say that in her opinion, what Dr. Gallagher is doing is “tantamount to child abuse.”

Watson concludes that in the girl’s case, her stating she has received mental health care from the age of 5 would suggest she has unresolved concerns that should have been addressed prior to surgical intervention. She says that studies on detransitioners have consistently found that they report receiving inadequate medical assessments, as well as having co-morbid mental health concerns that were never addressed.

“I think before we go about cutting up children’s bodies, we should really make sure they are mentally well and there’s not something else going on that, if addressed, could prevent unnecessary, irreversible surgeries.”

Trans Serial Killer Arrested in New York City After Woman’s Body Parts Found

A serial killer has been apprehended in New York City in connection to a grisly murder in which a woman’s body parts were dumped across a Brooklyn neighborhood.

Harvey Marcelin, a biological male who identifies as a woman, was arrested late last week on a charge of concealing a body, and could soon face additional charges after he was caught on CCTV disposing of a body near his apartment.

The victim has been identifies as 68-year-old Susan Leyden, who apparently knew Marcelin and had last been seen alive entering his apartment in Cypress Hills on February 27.

Leyden’s body was found in pieces scattered across the neighborhood, with parts being found on two separate days. Her leg was found on March 7, poking out of a discarded tire, and her headless torso was found in a shopping cart blocks away on March 9, along with a number of electric saws.

Marcelin, 83, was arrested after witnesses reported seeing him leaving his apartment with Leyden’s floral shopping bag and CCTV footage was reviewed confirming Leyden had never left the apartment building, but he was already well-known to police.

Leyden’s murder is the third Marcelin has been arrested in connection to, having being previously convicted in the deaths of two other women.

In 1963, Marcelin was arrested for shooting his then-girlfriend Jacqueline Bonds three times inside their Manhattan apartment.

The Supreme Court in Brooklyn is expected to hear details of his case today, though he is not going to be present.

Summer Camp Taught About “Being a Sex Worker,” Having Sex on Drugs

A disturbing syllabus from a sexual education summer camp purportedly geared towards minors is making the rounds on social media and sparking outrage from concerned parents.

Sexy Sex Ed is a “sex ed collective” located in Kentucky which bills itself as “compel[ling] teenagers and people of all ages to discuss personal and political consent, sexual safety, and anatomy.” It has a particular focus on LGBTQ youth.

While it is only drawing in negative press this year, Sexy Sex Ed has been in operation since 2012, when it was created at the request of the Stay Together Appalachian Youth (STAY) Project, who, according to their website, “asked for more sex ed and gender conversations at their annual summer gathering.”

But the 2021 summer camp schedule is what has netizens up in arms, as the freshly-unearthed information shows the workshops would have been anything but appropriate for minors, with most of its classes having overtly sexual information.

An agenda for the virtual camp still available on the site details each day’s activities, including education on masturbation, “being a sex worker or hiring sex workers,””sexy trans sex ed” intended to provide information on “gender exploration and affirmation, BDSM, and more!” and a workshop on the “nuances” of having sex while under the influence of illicit drugs.

It is unclear if there were any age guidelines, restrictions, or safeguarding measures whatsoever for the classes, with none being stated anywhere on the website or in the summer camp schedule.

Since the information about its 2021 camp began to circulate online, Sexy Sex Ed has purged many pages from its website, including the profiles of its “educators,” but screenshots are available in website archives.

The organization was founded by Tanya Turner who, on her now-deleted profile, described herself as a “femme, fat, queer, magical pleasure worker, educator, & artist.”

Other educators who instructed in the 2021 camp include Caitlin Cummings, “a 23 year old radical queer mountain woman,” and Kirstyn Ooten, “a young, fat, differently-abled, queer community organizer and college student from southern West Virginia” who apparently works with children.

In a 2021 YouTube video posted on Means TV, summer camp organizer Tanya Turner states that she encourages “people of all ages” to masturbate, and says her nephews were masturbating “as soon as they could talk.”

https://youtu.be/W8OOXtMVaXY

A 2020 interview with Turner coins her as “Appalachia’s Queer Auntie” providing “queer positive” sex education to LGBTQ Appalachian youth. The article states the majority of Turner’s students are “queer kids,” and notes that on at least one occasion at Turner’s workshops, “over half of the kids in the room identified as trans.”

In another interview with Autostraddle, Turner describes teaching “baby queers” how to find themselves and outlines an instance in which she maintained contact with an underage student weeks after a class had ended, apparently being provided details on a sex toy the girl was using.

“A week [after the class] I heard from a girl, who was sixteen at the time, and she sent me a list of questions from her friends,” Turner says, continuing: “And two weeks later she sent me a picture of an electric toothbrush her friends bought her as a vibrator.”

Other videos available of Turner online show her instructing groups of what appear to be predominantly young teenage students.

Sponsor’s for Turner’s organization included RISE: Healthy For Life, a non-profit charity which describes itself as providing “inclusive sexuality education for Northeast Tennessee” that offers a number of youth-geared sex education services, and the STAY Project, which hosts “youth-led” activist endeavors.

On a 2021 state profile from the Sex Ed For Social Change website, Sexy Sex Ed was mentioned as providing “after school programming” for youth in public schools in Kentucky.

Since coming under fire for their previous year’s workshops list, Sexy Sex Ed has locked their Twitter and Instagram profiles and deleted some pages from their website. Tanya Turner has similarly locked all of her social media profiles.

Feminists Attacked, Assaulted By Trans Activists During IWD 2022 Demonstrations

International Women’s Day 2022 may go down as one of the most violent in recent history, with an unprecedented number of brutal attacks being documented against feminist demonstrators committed by trans- and “sex work” activists.

Sex industry abolitionist feminists in Barcelona were confronted and threatened by “people in favor of prostitution.” The women had gathered for a protest planned by Catalunya Abolicionista Plataforma Feminista (CATAB) in Plaza St. Jaume, where they were surrounded by counter-protestors who attempted to assault them, but were prevented by police.

Some trans activists took to Twitter to threaten violence, saying, “The 8th of March is going to be the day for me to shut the mouths of TERFs by any means necessary, including physical [force].”

Another boasted, “Women’s Day is the national day of beating TERFs, so you will see us attacking more than one [of them] today.”

In Paris, a collective of women opposing the sex industry – some of whom are exited survivors – were assaulted by a group who chanted “anti-terf” slogans. One of the assailants can be seen slapping a woman before biting her on the face.

The protest was composed of members the radical feminist group L’Amazone, as well as Osez le Féminisme, and Résistance Lesbienne.

According to L’Amazone, they were subjected to 7 attacks in the span of twenty minutes by activists from three anti-capitalist and pro-sex trafficking organizations, including the STRASS syndicate, which lobbies for the legalization of sexual exploitation.

“When will it stop? How long will feminist organisations tolerate this violence ? What else should we endure to be believed when we say that the supporters of ‘sex work’ are pimps who hate women and beat up survivors?” said a representative of L’Amazone, while French women’s rights campaigner Marguerite Stern called Women’s Day “the most dangerous day of the year for feminists demonstrating against prostitution.”

In Brussels, trans activists distributed leaflets explaining how to recognize “TERFs.” According to a translation provided by a woman who attended a protest there, the flyer identifies “TERFs” as women who promote “abolitionist” and “whore-phobic rhetoric” and who oppose pornography. A group of trans activists attempted to attack feminist protestors at the Brussels demonstration, but were ultimately outnumbered. Instead, they chanted insults and threats.

According to one anonymous woman who attended, “On March 8, the international women’s day, my radical feminist friends and I decided to go to the march despite what happened to us during our last action in Brussels on November 28 when we got attacked by trans activists during the protest against violence against women. Before the march started, my friends received a pamphlet on how to spot TERFS.”

“During the march, we felt safer than the last time because there were more of us and we were marching with other feminist groups but the atmosphere was heavy; we were holding abolitionist messages and stating biological facts on our signs.”

“They were holding hateful signs with the usual words ‘TERFS/SWERFS’ to describe us. There were also banners on the walls of buildings reading, ‘NO TERFS NO SWERFS’, ‘Transphobes, go fuck yourselves’ (in the feminine form), and ‘You’re all dirty b*tches.’ At the end of the protest, when everyone left, we tore them down.”

Trans activists also attacked women in Santiago, Chile. In addition to ripping their posters, they also set them on fire. Slogans among their banners included statements of lesbian pride, as well as anti-sex industry sentiments.

One of the women was struck on the head with a billy club, leaving her bleeding.

In Ankara, women’s rights demonstrators were surrounded and prevented from marching by trans activists, who grabbed their signs and ripped them. The assailants, waving the transgender flag, claimed that the women’s banners contained “transphobic rhetoric,” according to new outlet Dokuz 8 Haber.

A woman who attended the protest shared a photo of one of the banners, which roughly translated to “Women are women, not cis,”and said, “Since the march started, we saw aggression from men which we did not see from the police. Our banners were torn.” Speaking with Reduxx, she explained how two men in particular followed them while “aggressively chanting slogans” and called them “b*tches” and “wh*res.”

The women were participating in the 20th Feminist Night March, an event calling for an end to violence against women that has typically been disrupted by police using tear gas and force, as was the case again this year in Istanbul.

The Turkish protest was largely intended to draw attention to violence against women and so-called “honor” killings in the country. According to a 2009 study, 42% of Turkish women aged between 15–60 had suffered some physical or sexual violence by their husbands or partners.
