A Swiss LGBT activist has quietly launched a new “family counseling” practice while under investigation for offenses related to sexually exploiting minors at the Queer youth charity he co-founded with his husband.

In 2024, Swiss prosecutors opened an investigation into a gay couple for alleged abuses they committed while operating the Sozialwerk.LGBT+ group, a “safe space” for “queer youth.” While their identities were initially withheld by the Swiss press, Reduxx quickly identified the men as being Holger Niggemann and his husband, Björn Niggemann.

The Niggemanns co-founded the organization, receiving financial support from local governments, the city of Chur, and various non-profit foundations to work with children as young as 13.

Last April, local media interviewed fifteen individuals who had come into contact with the Niggemann’s through Sozialwerk.LGBT+, but the vast majority opted for anonymity, citing fears of being threatened or pursued by the couple.

Holger, 42, is alleged to have had sexual contact with two 17-year-olds who had sought help for bullying with his organization. Holger was a board member of the group at the time, while his husband Björn was the business manager. The two men are said to have had a three-way sexual relationship with one of the teens, a 17-year old boy, according to a report by Tages-Anzeiger.

According to statements from the teenage victim, he moved in with the married couple while he was still a minor. Distressed at what was reportedly an abusive situation, the 17-year-old wrote on social media that he was in a “a toxic, polyamorous relationship, and it’s tearing me apart.” He also communicated that “when this is over, I’ll have to get my brain fixed. I can’t take it anymore. I will end it.”

Numerous documents are said to substantiate what happened in the group, including text messages, emails and voice messages, reports Tages-Anzeiger. Other board members of Sozialwerk.LGBT+ also came forward to speak to press and confirm their knowledge of what had been happening.

Daniel Huber, a former board member of the association, reported the couple to public prosecutor Annina Grob, and made a statement to media condemning the Niggemanns for their behavior towards the vulnerable youth in their care.

“For us, the behavior of the two is a total abuse of power, and the young people also felt that way. I brought it up again and again,” said Huber, who attended the meetings as a teenager before joining the board in a leadership role. “It is important not to look away from such behavior.”

According to former board members who spoke to press, the Niggemann’s sexual relationship with the boy also led to heated discussions within the organization.

“That this relationship was completely inappropriate from both a professional and moral standpoint was clear to everyone. But one of them could [argue] extremely well. I suddenly felt very conservative for opposing it,” one person said, alleging that one of the Niggemann’s had emotionally or politically manipulated other members of the organization into staying silent about the sexual impropriety.

As the discussions among the board members became increasingly heated, Holger and Björn sent long text messages to colleagues, aiming to justify their behavior.

“In public child and youth work, it was common for a long time for youth workers to have sexual contact with young people,” one of the Niggemann’s reportedly claimed. “In Berlin, street children were placed with pedophilic offenders until the 1990s because only these people could love children,” he went on to say, referring to the Kentler Project in Germany, an experiment which placed foster children into the homes of pedophiles.

Sexuality was apparently a recurring theme in Holger’s approach to youth work. Several individuals report that Sozialwerk.LGBT+ had a “sexualized atmosphere” despite catering to children. The Niggemann’s reportedly often offered teenagers a box full of sex toys like dildos, leather straps, bondage gear, whips, or anal plugs.

Following the allegations of child sexual abuse with pending legal proceedings against Holger and Björn, Sozialwerk.LGBT+ dissolved. “Given the circumstances, the youth center (…) can no longer function as a safe space for young people,” declared the then-chairwoman, Viktoriya Schiefer.

Prior to the 2024 revelations, Holger’s other organization, treffLGBT+, had already been facing criticism for instructing youth to use terms like “fuck holes” and “front holes” for vaginas, to emphasize “intended function.”

Despite the ongoing investigation, Reduxx has now learned that Holger has launched his own office  focused on family and sexual counseling in Buchs.

On his website, Holger specifies that he should be referred to using the pronouns “sier,” denoting his non-binary identity, and underscores that counseling children and adolescents on partnerships and sexuality has always been a key focus for him.

While Holger has refused to comment on his new venture to Tages-Anzeiger, his attorney has confirmed that he is legally permitted to establish and operate his office, where he also offers family counseling. The fee for a 90-minute session ranges from 100 to 150 Swiss Francs (approximately 100 to 160 US dollars).

In December of 2024, Reduxx received a notice from the attorney representing the Niggemanns demanding the deletion or significant amendment of our April 2024 article on the case, stating that a civil suit or criminal charges would be pursued unless we complied. We have not.

The alleged incidents at Sozialwerk.LGBT+ is not the first instance where an organization focused on “LGBT+ youth” has been accused of enabling the abuse of vulnerable adolescents. As previously reported by Reduxx, two men from Scotland reported that they were groomed and sexually exploited as minors while utilizing services provided by LGBT Youth Scotland.

LGBT Youth Scotland, originally known as the Stonewall Youth Project, is recognized as Scotland’s national charity dedicated to “LGBTI young people.” It engages with individuals aged 13 to 25, offering programs in schools, organizations, and businesses.

The charity was established in 1989 and rebranded in 2003, coinciding with the appointment of James Rennie as CEO, who was convicted and sentenced to lifelong restrictions in 2009 for running what was labeled as Scotland’s “largest pedophile network.”

Three Norwegian men, two of whom identify as transgender, have been charged in relation to the ongoing sexual assault and rape of a girl while she was between the ages of 13 and 14.

Criminal charges against the men include sexual intercourse with a child under the age of 14, and an instance of gang rape in which “the act [was] committed by several people together… in a particularly painful or particularly offensive manner.” Hordaland court records reviewed by Reduxx state that the victim was an at-risk youth due to “life challenges,” and that the three men “exploited her vulnerable situation.”

Of the three charged – two are men who identify as transgender. Damien “Damia Rose” Baar, 43, and Even “Eevee” Seberg, 35, are accused of “repeated sexual intercourse” with the young girl, in addition to a scenario that involved both men sexually abusing the victim together at the 2024 Pride Festival in Bergen after plying her with alcohol.

The sexual abuse of the child first came to the attention of authorities after a third man, Kenneth Langvatn Aakre, 44, was spotted kissing the victim on the mouth and grabbing her genital area while on public transport as they were leaving the Pride festival on the night of June 3.

While Aakre is also facing charges of sexual activity with a child under the age of 16, he has not been accused of participating in the rape or gang rape of the girl. Baar and Seberg are also accused of producing images of child sexual abuse involving the victim.

With the assistance of a concerned citizen, Reduxx was able to locate social media profiles belonging to the three men and verified that two of the accused are claiming to be transgender women.

Seberg describes himself on X as “trans fem,” and “pansexual,” and frequently interacts with transgender and hentai pornography accounts. In one disturbing post dated October 2024, Seberg said he “prefer[s] to get raped by girldick.” On Facebook he refers to himself as “a bit odd, but kind.”

Baar and Seberg are mutual contacts on the world’s leading fetish network FetLife, where Seberg describes himself as a “trans woman” with a “perverted stream of consciousness.”

Among the fetishes listed on Seberg’s profile are bondage, BDSM, and abduction play. He participates in multiple crossdresser and trans-related groups on the fetish site, as well as one group dedicated to “gang bangs.”

“Eevee appears deceptively norm-core, but within harbours a mind corrupted by 2000’s internet content, hentai, games, comics, and their own creative ability to turn anything NSFW / NSFL [not safe for work, not safe for life],” reads Seberg’s profile.

“This creature is shy and hesitant at first, but that changes rapidly when Eevee grows more familiar and feels more at ease, accepted and wanted. Then the true force of personality will emerge… When I get hormones, I’m gonna go full-on kinky bitch mode.” Seberg named himself after a popular character from the Japanese Pokemon franchise, and describes his genitals as a “grower sub-type.”

In a journal entry posted to FetLife in October last year, just four months after he and Baar allegedly raped the young girl, Seberg wrote, “Have you ever seen a girl ad thought not just that she is pretty, but that you wish you could be her? Well, most of us that have that experience are trans girls, but not everyone arrives at the realization at the same time.”

“I’m Eevee, a chubby, 35 year-old trans girl who came out as trans the 3rd of June, 2023. I had two suicide attempts, I was depressed, and had complex PTSD, but coming out as my real self was the best thing I could ever do.”

Baar is similarly active in BDSM-themed groups on FetLife, and claims that he “came out as trans” in February 2021.

“I guess I’m more Finic than Lesbian,” reads Baar’s profile. “Finic is a term for people on the multisexual spectrum who have a preference towards people who are feminine in nature (FIN). This can refer to people who are attracted to feminine or woman-aligned genders, such as people who are fingender or fiaspec. It can refer to people who are attracted to a feminine gender presentation (regardless of the person’s actual gender).”

Baar describes himself as a voyeur, exhibitionist, sadist, and “brat tamer,” and lists “group sex” as one of his fetishes. Other fetishes listed by Baar include “pain,” “screaming,” and “tearing off clothing.” On Instagram, Baar has shared photos of himself edited with FaceApp to resemble a young girl.

In 2013, Baar was one of the last people to have spoken with a woman who went missing after a night of drinking at a nightclub. Eeva Maria Sieppi disappeared on May 17 that year. Baar told Bergensavisen that he had invited Sieppi to sleep at his apartment after she was kicked out of the venue for drunkenness.

“She didn’t want that, and asked me to leave. She never liked it when I said she had drunk too much,” Baar told the local news. He said that the next day he sent her a text message, and she didn’t reply.

“I sent her a message during the day on 17 May to which she did not respond. I didn’t really react to that. It was the kind of message I didn’t expect a response to.”

Sieppi’s body was discovered on May 30 a short walk away from the club in a lake at the center of Bergen, Lille Lungegårdsvannet. The cause of her death remains unknown, but her sister, Ulla Maija, has asked the police to reopen the case and conduct a murder investigation.

The trial is expected to commence in May at the Hordaland District Court.

This is the second court case in Norway within the past three months centered on charges of child sexual abuse against men who claim to be transgender.

In November, a Norwegian man who was found in possession of 10,800 videos that sexualized children or depicted the sexual abuse of children was spared a prison sentence on the basis “having personal difficulties.”

The man, who identifies as transgender, was reported in national press as being a “woman”. His identity was withheld, despite the fact that he had expressed a desire to have a child of his own to abuse, and encouraged others to have sexual intercourse with children under 14 years of age.

A kindergarten in Austria has expelled two children after their parents expressed concerns about graphic, sexual posters that had been hung in the facility. The posters, depicting nude trans-identified males, were reportedly created to “facilitate discussions in kindergarten settings.”

The incident occurred at a corporate kindergarten and daycare in Vienna open for the children of employees of the Austrian Broadcasting Corporation. After enrolling their two kids in the kindergarten, a mother and father became aware that the class had decorated a wall in the classroom with a disturbing poster. Speaking to Kronen Zeitung, the father says they first learned about the poster after his 4-year-old son reported seeing “strange pictures” on the walls.

Investigating for himself, the father went down to the kindergarten and noted a poster had been installed featuring illustrations of nude individuals accompanied by the phrase: “Bodies naked and bare, vulva, penis, breasts, butts. You decide for yourself, indeed! Bodies are cool!”

One panel on the poster appears to depict an obese male in the shower with a young boy, while another features a trans-identified male with an exposed penis and breasts. The final panel of the poster shows two nude children taking a shower with an adult.

The parents then filed a complaint with the kindergarten and requested the removal of these illustrations, noting they appeared to be inappropriate for such young children.

As a result of the complaint, the father and his wife were summoned for an initial discussion with the regional management, followed by a meeting with the kindergarten’s CEO, Thomas-Peter Gerold-Siegl. Despite having no pedagogical background, Gerold-Siegl reportedly insisted that children aged 1 through 6 required “sexual education,” something the mother objected to immediately.

Following the discussion, the kindergarten placement for both of the children were terminated, and they have since been blacklisted from any facilities operated by Kinder in Wien (Children in Vienna, or KiWi), which not only oversees the corporate kindergartens of the Austrian broadcaster but also manages 93 additional kindergartens and after-school programs throughout Vienna.

“Because we dared to voice criticism against the practices of premature sexualization,” the parents explained to Kronen Zeitung.

The poster was found to have originated from a picture book titled Bodies Are Cool by American author and illustrator Tyler Feder. The book is purportedly designed to “facilitate discussions in kindergarten settings” about body perception, and encourage children “to accept others as they are.”

The cover of the book features a trans-identified female with mastectomy scars and a beard, while the naked trans-identified man with breasts is depicted with a heart-shaped tattoo of a trans flag. As previously reported by Reduxx, the pink-blue-white flag was designed by crossdressing fetishist Robert Hogge, who once penned a story about marrying a little girl who never ages.

Curiously, in the American edition of Bodies Are Cool, the page featuring the nude illustrations displayed in the Austrian kindergarten was completely omitted, but was exclusively available in the German edition.

News of what happened at the kindergarten has sent shockwaves through Austria, with the chairman of the Freedom Party of Austria FPÖ, Dominik Nepp, demanding the withdrawal of all funding from both the City of Vienna and the Austrian Broadcasting Corporation.

In a press release, Nepp wrote: “It is particularly scandalous that legitimate complaints from parents result in their children being excluded from kindergarten.”

Thomas-Peter Gerold-Siegl, the CEO of the largest private provider of kindergartens and after-school care in Vienna, Kinder in Wien (KiWi), has reportedly defended both the removal of the children from the kindergarten and the poster, with a spokesperson for KiWi stating the that it was put up with the aim of fostering diversity, self-acceptance, and a positive body image in children.

In 2024, the Kinder in Wien Journal, published by Gudrun Kern and Thomas-Peter Gerold-Siegl, addressed the issue of “sexual education in kindergarten and after-school care.” In the journal, it is claimed that “children are born as sexual beings” and that a so-called “sexual identity” develops from birth.

A trans-identified male convicted of murdering two men and feeding their corpses to pigs has filed a legal complaint seeking a retrial, alleging that the attorney appointed to him by the state of Oregon failed to “controvert false evidence,” and that his Sixth Amendment rights have been violated. Vietnam war and US Navy veteran Susan Monica, born Steven Buchanan, was found guilty of the two murders, as well as two counts of abuse of a corpse in the first degree, and in 2015 was sentenced to a minimum of 50 years in prison.

Buchanan is currently serving his lengthy sentence at Coffee Creek Correctional Facility, a women’s prison known for having a history of abuses against female inmates. He is listed under his feminine name, Susan Monica, and is described as being “female” in official records.

In 1991, Buchanan purchased a 20-acre farm in Oregon where he would kill two handymen in 2012 and 2013 before feeding their corpses to the pigs he owned at the property.

Multiple new outlets reporting on the case referred to Buchanan simply as a “woman,” without mentioning his transgender status or the fact he is a biological male.

“You shot two people and fed them to your pigs,” Judge Timothy Barnack told Buchanan during sentencing. “I don’t know how else I can put it. You valued pigs more than you value people. It may sound harsh, but you are a cold-blooded killer.”

Now, Buchanan has filed a writ of habeas corpus demanding to be let out of prison, citing errors in the original trial. Buchanan, referring to himself as “Ms. Monica” in the complaint, alleges that “the trial court barred Ms. Monica from airing her concerns about counsel,” and that the court, which denied his motion for a substitution of counsel, “failed to honor Ms. Monica’s conditional request that if her counsel was not relieved, she be permitted to represent herself.”

In 2012, Buchanan hired 59-year-old Stephen Delicino to assist him with tasks on the farm in exchange for financial compensation and accommodations. According to Buchanan’s testimony, the two became involved in a physical altercation after Buchanan discovered that Delicino was in possession of two of his guns. During a confrontation over the alleged theft, Buchanan has claimed that a gun misfired, striking Delicino in the back of the head and killing him.

Reduxx has learned that a trans-identified male convicted of multiple murders is serving a 50-year sentence in a women's correctional facility in Oregon.

However, Buchanan’s story regarding the death of Delicino has been inconsistent. He has variously asserted that Delicino shot himself in the head, and alternatively that he had shot the victim in self-defense — before his remains were eaten by Buchanan’s pigs. What was left of Delicino’s corpse would later be found by investigators in plastic bags on the property.

The following year, Buchanan hired Robert Haney, 56, as a handyman by placing an advertisement for hired help. In the summer of 2013, Haney’s children became concerned when they could not contact their father, and filed a missing persons report with the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office.

In the legal filing requesting a retrial, Buchanan argues that his Sixth Amendment rights have been violated, and as such he is entitled to a retrial. Buchanan argues this on the basis that he was not allowed to properly represent himself and that he was not granted an alternative counsel when he complained about the state-appointed attorney who represented him in court, Christine Herbert.

According to Buchanan, Herbert “failed to controvert false evidence” that he had sold a shotgun to a pawn shop shortly after being contacted by investigators looking for Haney.

On May 22, 2014, Buchanan sent a request to the trial court seeking new counsel, and wrote on an inmate request form from the jail: “I need a new lawyer. Yesterday my investigator came to see me and would not talk to me until I signed a release form for mental health… I want someone to find out where Robert Haney was for the 6+ weeks he was missing before he turned up in my pig pen and prove me innocent.”

The main issue Buchanan had with his state-appointed counsel, Christine Herbert, was that “she seamed [sic] more interested in me being insane than in[n]ocent.”

In response to multiple requests from Buchanan for a change in his representation, the court denied his motion for new counsel. Jackson County Judge Timothy Barnack speculated that if he were to give Buchanan new counsel that he “may not like what they have to say, either” and would “keep asking for more and more attorneys.”

Buchanan further contests that a jailhouse informant incarcerated with him had sabotaged his case when testifying in court that he had admitted to shooting Haney after he refused to leave Buchanan’s property. While awaiting sentencing, he was held among female inmates at Jackson County jail. A former cellmate of Buchanan’s, Jordan Farris, testified in court that Buchanan had confessed to the grotesque murders.

Farris also described getting “chills” after receiving a birthday card from Buchanan signed, “from the sweetest murderer in Jackson County.”

Because the state’s attorney, Herbert, had also represented Farris in a felony methamphetamine case, Buchanan accused his legal counsel of a “conflict of interest” and suggested that Farris had “embellished the story” in hopes of gaining a plea deal.

While claiming to be innocent, Buchanan argues in his writ that he shot the first victim, Delicino, in self-defense after a physical altercation, and that his pigs ate the corpse afterwards. The second victim, Haney, Buchanan claims, was “close to death or already dead” when he found the man being consumed by pigs, and then “shot him out of mercy.”

Bizarrely, however, Buchanan’s filing describes how, on January 5, 2014, Deputy Donald Adams of the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department visited his farm to investigate a missing person report lodged by Haney’s son. At that time, Buchanan states he had commented on wanting “to obtain a government grant to research how pigs consume human bodies.”

Astonishingly, in his own legal complaint, Buchanan states: “While the officers were at Ms. Monica’s property they requested to look around. She asked: ‘Where’s your warrant?’ During this encounter Ms. Monica spoke of killing people and feeding them to her pigs and clarified that she was joking.”

Video footage of a 4-hour long police interrogation with Buchanan recorded on January 6, 2014, shows him presenting inconsistencies in his narrative and expressing concern for the welfare of his pigs. When asked about Haney’s death, Buchanan insisted that he happened upon his pigs already consuming Haney, while alive, and that this prompted Buchanan to fatally shoot him.

“He had been gone for over a month. I came down to feed my animals, and I heard this moaning. His guts were out, but he was still alive… I didn’t think he was going to live. I went up and got my rifle and shot him in the head… And I just left him there. You know that pigs will eat anything if you give them the opportunity,” Buchanan said.

“He was being eaten, what I believed to be, alive,” Buchanan told detectives during the interview. “I put him out of his misery. I do that for my animals and this was the first time I did it for a human being and I knew it was wrong but if it were one of my pigs suffering out there, I would have done the same thing.”

Buchanan admitted that he took the remainder of Haney’s body, including his skull, and placed it in a plastic bag in his barn. He then drew a map to direct police to his remains.

State Police forensic anthropologist Veronica Vance testified that Haney had suffered three to four gunshot wounds to the head. His legs had been chopped off with an ax, though it was unclear whether this occurred before or after Haney’s death. Additionally, his thigh bones showed signed of having been gnawed on by an animal.

During a polygraph portion of the interrogation, Buchanan defecated in his pants. He then slipped up and told an officer he “left them,” referring to multiple corpses instead of only Haney’s, which ultimately led to the discovery of Delicino’s body. While drawing up a map of the farm, Buchanan confessed, “Right there, about three feet down, there’s part of another body.”

Police located the remains of the two victims on Buchanan’s property in the locations he had provided during the interrogation. Investigators excavated large portions of his property, but no other human remains were discovered.

Buchanan told police that Delicino had attempted to steal a gun from his farm, and that an argument broke out after he confronted the handyman about the theft. He claimed Delicino then committed suicide by shooting himself in the head multiple times, while running outside and falling into a pig pen.

“He grabbed a little pistol and he said that he [didn’t] want to go back to jail, and he decided he was going to kill himself. He shot himself in the head, and then he ran out. That was when it got even worse… and he emptied the gun in his own head,” Buchanan told law enforcement.

“Do you think I believe your story?” an officer asked Buchanan.

“No. I don’t believe my story… It’s too stupid,” Buchanan said.

During the interrogation, Buchanan admitted, “I do not value human life very much… My feeling is the only thing wrong with the planet is there’s people on it. If not for us, all the other animals, even dodo birds, would be here.”

On January 13, 2014, lead investigator Detective Eric Henderson again interrogated Buchanan, at which point the pig farmer’s story regarding Delicino’s death drastically changed. In the new narrative, Buchanan shot Delicino multiple times in self-defense after the hired handyman allegedly attempted to kill him.

In Buchanan’s revised explanation, Delicino had stolen a rifle from him worth approximately $300. Some time later, Delicino announced he would be leaving the farm. In a 2022 podcast interview, Buchanan said, “I had tried several times to get him to stay where he was and move in with me.”

The two then allegedly began to argue over “who he had sold the rifle to,” leading Delicino to “go nuts,” according to Buchanan.

“He thought I was going to have him arrested for stealing. I didn’t know it at the time, but he had hit me so hard with the butt of a rifle that he busted my right breast implant.”

Buchanan claims that Delicino attempted to kill him, and it was then that he shot him in the head. He continued to shoot Delicino, he said, because of “this thing called death grip.”

“When he didn’t let go, I went ahead and I shot him a couple more times,” Buchanan said. “I couldn’t believe it, but he was still holding onto my leg really tight. And I didn’t know it at the time, but I’m pretty smart, but you know, nobody knows everything. So I’ve learned that as I had heard about this thing called death grip… after some time, I realized that he was dead after the first shot.”

Detective Henderson, who directed the investigation, told the court during trial that Buchanan had admitted to killing over a dozen victims in a similar manner. “She told me that if she told me about the 17 others that she would spend the rest of her life in jail,” said Detective Henderson, referring to Buchanan as a woman.

During the 2015 court proceedings, Buchanan insisted on cross-examining witnesses, including Detective Henderson. While questioning the lead investigator, KOBI-TV NBC5 reported that Buchanan threatened to kill Henderson and feed him to his pigs. He then attempted to pass off the remarks as a joke.

Buchanan has a documented tendency to lash out with similarly dark “jokes.” During the January 6 police interview, Buchanan angrily responded to Eric Fox, the Deputy Medical Examiner, after being asked the whereabouts of a former tenant.

“So you know he still exists and he hasn’t disappeared, he’s not deceased on your property?” Fox asked.

Buchanan snarled and leaned in as though about to strike Fox, and said, “Well, you’ll have to find him, won’t ya?” He then chuckled awkwardly and blamed his “stupid sense of humor.” During a separate interview, Buchanan quietly remarked, “I see my stupid sense of humor become a reality.”

The former tenant, who lived at Buchanan’s property for four years, would go on to tell local news that the farmer killed his cat and two dogs, and that he believed he had fed them to his pigs.

This is the second attempt by Buchanan to secure a mistrial. In February 2018, he filed for a post conviction review, but was denied on the basis that his attempts to represent himself mitigated his complaints about his counsel’s effectiveness.

It is unclear how many men claiming a transgender status are currently being held in women’s facilities in Oregon state. As Reduxx previously reported, a man in custody for the brutal murder of his ex-girlfriend had been briefly transferred to the Coffee Creek Women’s Correctional Facility, but was quickly moved back to the male estate just weeks later for unknown reasons.

Zera Lola Zombie, born Daniel Lee Smith, has received a “vulnerable” designation by an Oregon Court, entitling him to special protections and privileges due to his gender identity. He is classified as a “female” inmate in the Oregon inmate directory.

A trans-identified male who, on a drug-fueled rampage, hacked at passersby with an axe in 2017 has been released on parole after serving a portion of his sentence in a women’s prison. Evie Amati, previously known as Karl Amati, was 24 when he walked into a 7-11 in Sydney and indiscriminately assaulted two customers with an axe.

In the early hours of January 7, 2017, Amati entered the Enmore 7-11, where he suddenly bludgeoned Ben Rimmer and Susan Hacker with a 2 kilogram axe he had brought with him. The brutal attack was captured on CCTV footage and shows Rimmer bleeding profusely from the head, and Hacker falling to the ground, after the assault. Once outside the shop, Amati swung at pedestrian Shane Redwood, who dodged the attack by using his backpack as a shield.

Rimmer had begun vomiting blood, as the injuries to his face cause such severe bleeding that he nearly drowned. He sustained a fractured nasal bone, eye socket and cheek bones, and underwent hours of reconstructive surgery. His injuries required the insertion of plates and screws, and he will spend the rest of his life with four titanium plates in his face.

A bone in Hacker’s skull was broken into multiple parts, and she had to wear a supportive cervical collar for months. She continues to experience nerve pain, and has said that the attack also impacted her daughter, who developed a fear of going outside after dark.

Amati would later blame his actions on a variety of personal factors, including: complications from a genital surgery he underwent in Thailand in 2014; a failed Tinder date with a woman; depression; and a mixture of drugs. However, during court proceedings it was revealed that he had purchased the axe two months prior and had been practicing his swing on his furniture.

Approximately one hour before the attack, Amati had made an eerie post to his Facebook account which read: “One day I am going to kill a lot of people… Humans are only able to destroy, to hate, so that is what I shall do.”

The message was similar to one he had sent directly to his female date one hour before the attack, writing: “One day I’m going to kill a lot of people for hating something so innocent.”

In 2018, a New South Wales District Court convicted Amati of wounding with intent to murder, causing grievous bodily harm with intent to murder and attempting to wound with intent to murder. He was sentenced to nine years in jail with a non-parole period of four-and-a-half years, after his lawyer argued that his transsexual surgery had caused him immense pain and contributed to his attempt to kill random strangers.

But Amati’s term was increased to a possible maximum of 14 years in 2019 after an appeal found that the original sentence was “so manifestly inadequate that it is an affront to the administration of justice.” Rimmer came forward to challenge the sentence, telling the court, “If I hadn’t turned my head at the last minute, she would have cut my head in half … She went there to kill. It’s only pure luck that I’m alive and she’s not remorseful. She’s intelligent … calculating,” he said, referring to Amati with feminine pronouns.

Amati was reported in Australian press as a “woman,” and feminine pronouns were used to refer to him in court. His lawyer, Charles Waterstreet, had argued that Amati had been “out of her mind” at the time as a result of drugs and prescription medication.

Amati testified that his mental health had declined after he began taking female hormones. However, the jury rejected the claim of Amati’s “mental derangement”. He had claimed to have no recollection of the brutal assault and said he had been hearing voices in his head which told him to “kill and maim” and “start the rise of hell on earth.”

After experiencing what he perceived to be rejection and revulsion from his date only hours before, Amati stated that he “really had one more memory … that voice that had been telling me to kill and maim, and inflict pain on people, and start the rise of hell on earth.”

“I recall everything going quiet and feeling that voice come inside and I remember that smile, the smile that was not mine, a sinister smile that plastered my face that I couldn’t control and then I black(ed) out.”

Sometime between 2018 and 2019, Amati had been involved in fights at the all-female Mary Wade Women’s Correctional Centre where he was being detained. During the appeal against Amati’s short sentence, it was revealed that he and a female inmate had a physical altercation after the inmate told Amati he belonged in a male prison.

One of the reasons provided for this dispute was the fact that Amati had chosen to abstain from taking female hormones and was said to be “de-transitioning.”

Prior to his release, Amati was assessed as having a “low to medium” risk of reoffending by NSW Community Corrections.

Prison gender self-identification laws have become a significant discussion in Australia following a 2022 protest by female inmates in Victoria against a trans-identified male they were being incarcerated with.

While the name of the transferred inmate was not initially released, Reduxx found that the details from the criminal’s background mirrored that of Lisa Jones, a trans-identified male who had been sentenced to 3 years and 3 months in prison for sexually assaulting a woman in 2021. Jones had previous convictions for child sex offenses.

Despite the women’s protest, the practice of placing males in women’s prisons across Australia continues, with different states regulating their own policies.

A prestigious school in Taipei has become embroiled in controversy following reports that sexually explicit surveys had been distributed to its students without parental consent. Taipei American School (TAS), a private international institution focusing on an “American” curriculum, sparked backlash from parents for exposing children to extremely graphic material promoting gender ideology.

The “Sexuality Survey” was the directive of the Head of the Upper School Physical Education (PE) Department, who ordered faculty to administer it to students aged 14-15 years old. The survey, reportedly approved by the male department head and created by another male PE faculty member, contained questions that many parents and educators found highly invasive and inappropriate for the age group.

Children were encouraged to be “courageous” when answering questions such as:

•  Have you ever taken nude or sexually explicit pictures of yourself? 
•  Have you had sexual intercourse? (Penile, vaginal, or anal penetration) 
•  Have you ever sexted? 
•  Do you feel comfortable with your knowledge about Gender Orientation? If you don’t know what this is, your answer is no!

Reduxx was informed that when the survey was first distributed in March of 2023, parents quickly began raising concerns about its ethical implications and appropriateness for students. Their objections were communicated to the department head and principal, including warnings that the content and the process of having students report and discuss sensitive topics, such as their “gender identity” and sexual acts, with teachers were inappropriate.

The growing discontent among parents was documented in multiple communications with school administrators, who resisted acting on these concerns and failed to address the issue promptly.

Some parents even expressed a desire to remove their child from the Physical Education program as a result of the survey’s continued circulation. By mid-April, parent complaints intensified, culminating in direct appeals to school leadership. Despite these warnings and objections, the survey remained active.

Senior administrators, including the former Head of School, the former Upper School Principal, and current associate principals, were aware of the survey and the backlash it generated. Despite knowledge of the survey’s sexually explicit content and promotion of radical gender identity ideology, and the clear objections from both faculty and parents, no action appears to have been taken to address the situation.

Since TAS operates in Taiwan, it falls under Taiwanese laws, particularly concerning operations, employment, and facilities. In Taiwan, there is no specific law mandating parental consent for student surveys, including those addressing explicit topics such as sexual behavior.  

TAS, which abides by an American-style curriculum intended to prepare students for college in the United States, has in recent years been active in promoting gender ideology on their campus. Guidelines set in place allow students to compete in sports and access restrooms as the “gender identity” of their choice, and facilitate coercive pronoun usage on campus.

Teachers have been instructed to use “preferred” names and pronouns of students, and to hide this from parents in parent-teacher meetings if the parents are known to object to gender ideology. Staff who have voiced opposition to these school policies have reportedly been threatened with loss of employment if they continue to speak out.

This is not the first time TAS has faced scrutiny for misconduct and a lack of transparency. Over the years, there have been multiple instances of alleged sexual misconduct between teachers and students and administrative failures that have come to light, raising serious questions about the institution’s commitment to accountability and the well-being of its community members. 

A lack of communication on the unpopular measures has left parents questioning the school’s commitment to maintaining trust with families.

“If they feel comfortable asking such intimate questions without informing us, what else are they hiding?” one parent remarked. “This is Taiwan, not Canada or the USA. We don’t want our children discussing ‘gender identities’ without us knowing. It’s not even part of our culture in Taiwan.”

Adding to the controversy is the presence of multiple sexually explicit books promoting concepts popularized within gender ideology in the school’s libraries, sparking further outrage among parents and faculty. Titles such as Gender Queer and This Book is Gay have come under fire for graphic depictions of sexual acts and controversial themes that critics argue are inappropriate for students. While debates over explicit content in schools have been highly visible across Western nations, this is the first reported instance of such issues surfacing in Taiwan.

One book available to students, Gender Queer, contains illustrations of oral sex using a strap-on prosthetic and explicit discussions between siblings about “vagina slime.” Another title, This Book is Gay, offers instructions on using dating apps and organizing sex parties.

Further complicating matters, some of these books include QR codes linking to external websites that sell products like chest binders and underwear packers. Parents have raised alarm over these links, questioning how such content made its way into a school environment.

“This content doesn’t belong in any educational setting,” one parent remarked. “It’s deeply troubling to think this material is being offered to our children without oversight or consultation.”

The controversy at Taipei American School comes as Taiwan increasingly mirrors trends in Western gender identity ideology. Concepts, particularly those centered on gender and identity politics, are beginning to permeate educational and cultural institutions, often without wider public discussions or approval.
