UK: Transgender Council Candidate Apologizes For Violent Facebook Posts

A transgender candidate for political office has issued an apology after horrifying social media posts resurfaced in which he repeatedly threatened acts of violence.

Nikita Primrose Sykes, the Liberal Democrat candidate for the North Yorkshire seat of Skelton West, launched his campaign for the May local elections on a platform of advocating for transgender rights. A staunch opponent of the ruling Conservatives, Sykes said the party was “ruining the country.”

In his official campaign announcement, Sykes bills himself as a “trans woman, an agnostic atheist, and a psychology student.” He announced his candidacy this past Thursday under the name Katy Primose Sykes, and promised that he stood for “human rights and equity” as well as stronger “protections for women.”

But historic Facebook posts archived by The Express have resulted in calls for the candidate to be withdrawn, citing concerns over his mental health.

“Aaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, I really really want to kill something,” Sykes posted in May of 2013. Shortly after, writing: “You better fuckin have nine lives coz I fuckin have eight knives.”

In another statement, Sykes threatens to murder those who disrespect him, writing: “One more person calls me a weirdo or filthy cunt then I think I’m going to rip their vocal cords out and use them to slice their knackers off.”

In his Facebook apology, Sykes blames childhood trauma for the posts, and apologizes for the “offense” the statements may have caused. He addresses the recent publication of some of the comments in local media.

“It has come to my attention that a news article was written about some horrifying comments I made back in 2013. I would like to offer my sincerest apologies for making those comments, I am in complete agreement that those comments were out of order,” Sykes wrote in the statement littered with grammatical and spelling errors. “At the time I wrote them I was suffering from mental trauma related to abuse I suffered as a child, and was not receiving any medication or therapy. Since that time I no longer suffer with the same mental health problems, have quit all drugs years ago, and am now in university.”

Sykes’ candidacy has not been officially withdrawn or even addressed by the Liberal Democrats, and Sykes’ most recent comments on Facebook claim he has the “full support” of his local party.

“To those who think I’m been forced to stand down, I’m not standing down from election, I have apologized and taken responsibility for my actions in the past, plus I have the full support of my local party,” Sykes wrote in response to another user.

The local elections Sykes is set to stand in take place on May 4, and the Liberal Democrats currently have 14 councillors sitting on the Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council.

“Mr. Beast” Sidekick’s Social Media History Under Scrutiny Following Gender Transition

A transgender internet celebrity popularized through his association with the Mr. Beast franchise is under fire after past tweets resurfaced showing a hostility towards women’s rights and an extreme affinity for anime.

On April 6, Chris Tyson, known ubiquitously as being a regular sidekick of YouTube mega-star Jimmy Donaldson, announced his transition through Twitter. Tyson, 26, responded to a user comparing photos of him confirming he had been on hormone replacement therapy for 2 months.

The news immediately set the internet ablaze as Tyson is known for being a companion to one of YouTube’s most popular channels.

Mr. Beast currently has over 144 million subscribers, making it the fourth-most subscribed to channel on the platform. While it does not explicitly state which demographic it directs its content towards, a recent shift in its content towards boisterous displays of wealth has made it popular amongst young boys.

Tyson’s transition was met with mixed reactions, with trans activists praising the news and others expressing concern for Tyson’s family.

Tyson has a two-year-old son with a woman he married in June of 2018. Speculation amongst Mr. Beast fans dating as far back as 6 months ago rumored that Tyson had quietly separated from his wife, with some noting his wedding band had disappeared from videos. In a tweet from March, Tyson confirmed that he and his wife, who is reportedly a devout Christian, have been separated for “little over a year” and divorce proceedings were under way.

Days later, Twitter users began circulating a screenshot from Tyson’s Snapchat showing his young son, Tucker, wearing high-heeled shoes.

“Tucker chose to slay today,” Tyson wrote in his Snapchat spotlight, later addressing the “rude comments” the photo received on his alternate Twitter account.

In recent days, Tyson’s social media history has come under intense scrutiny. In particular, one post began circulating which had some disturbing undertones.

Posted to Tyson’s official, verified Twitter account in 2016, the tweet read: “Nothing gets my knob a cranking like some Loli,” an apparent reference to masturbating to the content.

“Loli” is a term which refers to female child-like characters popularized by Japanese animation, but has become synonymous with pedophilic depictions of sexualized young girls in animated pornography. The tweet, first posted by user @basedspinach, was hastily deleted after it began to go viral on April 12.

Tyson’s Twitter history reveals he had an obsession with Japanese animation, and frequently posted about the franchises he was invested in as a fan.

In several tweets over the years, Tyson refers in particular to female characters in the anime shows he has a fondness for, even going so far as to show photos of model statues of those characters he has purchased. One of those characters, from anime franchise Re:ZERO, is supposed to represent a 17-year-old girl.

But in addition to the hundreds of tweets about anime Tyson has posted, there have been a number of anti-feminist tweets now picking up attention.

Tyson appears to have held extremely hostile views towards women’s rights movements, and has multiple tweets referring to feminists as “privileged” and “entitled,” as well as “cunts.”

In one tweet from 2017, Tyson responds to a parody account dedicated to mocking women. While the tweet is presently unavailable, Tyson writes: “This is bullshit. I grew up working in the fields at 12 when my sisters got to sit in the AC all day. Fuck these privileged feminists.”

In another tweet, Tyson mocks a young woman with facial hair, first making a joke about the possibility of having had sex with her, and then correcting a user who confused her for a male.

“It’s actually a girl haha. She just grows a mustache because feminism,” he wrote.

Among the more disturbing tweets includes Tyson gloating over a video which reportedly showed a woman or women being assaulted. While the account that posted the video is now deactivated, contextual responses from other Twitter users provide insight into what the tweet had included.

To the video, Tyson responded: “Feminists are rethinking that whole equality thing.” In the comment section, Tyson elaborates further in response to another Twitter user, ostensibly irritated by the comments from people who were outraged on behalf of the victim.

“Look at the replies, dude. [It’s] literally AIDS. ‘You shouldn’t hit a girl,’ bitch starts hitting me I’m dropping her too,” Tyson wrote.

Despite having only been openly transgender for a week, Tyson is already promoting medical transitioning.

On April 5, Tyson tweeted that “informed consent HRT” saved his life, and called the “hurdles” that gender non-conforming people face in getting hormone therapy “wild.” Informed consent refers to when an individual patient is trusted to make the decision of whether or not the proceed with a treatment. In the case of hormone therapy, informed consent typically means an individual self-identifying as transgender is provided hormones without the insight of a mental health professional or other prerequisites.

Tyson has been taking cross-sex hormones for 2 months, but claims he is already seeing changes in his appearance.

“Pre HRT, my hairline and facial shape has already started to change so the photo that’s being used for articles doesn’t even look the same,” he tweeted last week. “The amount of body positivity I’ve gotten in just 2 months is insane.”

Despite having only been on HRT for a short period of time, many have noted that Tyson’s appearance had changed dramatically over the course of the past year in Mr. Beast videos, when the YouTube-popular sidekick began shaving his face, growing out his hair, and sometimes even wearing fake nails or nail polish.

The timeframe in which Tyson’s look began to change corresponds with previous fan observations about the absence of his wedding ring and wife.

EDIT 4/14/23: A previous version of this article incorrectly stated that the status of Tyson’s relationship with his wife was unclear, but it has been confirmed that the two are separated and finalizing divorce. The article has been updated to reflect this.

UPDATE: Scottish Trans-Identified Male Who Sexually Assaulted Women in Church Charity Kitchen Jailed

A serial sexual predator has been sentenced to 144 days in prison after sexually assaulting women who were volunteering at a church food bank. Graeme Beck, 53, had also entered a plea of not guilty on a charge of repeatedly assaulting a young girl, which prosecutors accepted.

Beck began to identify as a “woman” after serving a prison sentence in 2008 for attempted sexual assault. He now goes by the name “Jane” and uses “she/her” pronouns. In February, Beck pled guilty to two counts of sexual assault related to having groped two women who were volunteering in a church food bank. He also admitted to one count of offending public decency during a video call after he exposed his penis in front of coworkers during work Zoom meetings.

According to the Scottish Sun, the transgender predator returned to Stranraer Sheriff Court for sentencing in early April where Sheriff Anthony McGlennan handed him his sentence.

McGlennan referred to Beck’s violent attempted rape from 2008 when determining a sentence for his recent offense, telling the predator: “To deter you from further offending only imprisonment is appropriate.”

Beck was given 144 days in prison and was also handed a non-harassment order. He is also forbidden from approaching his victims for three years. Beck has been placed on the sex offenders’ register for the second time.

The assaults occurred between 2021 and 2022 at a drop-in center for vulnerable adults. Stranraer Baptist Church is home to the Fed Up Community Cafe, where adults dealing with alcohol, drug, or financial-related problems can access resources and get a hot meal. Beck had been working in the kitchen of the church at the time, along with the two female victims.

During the hearings in February, the court heard that Beck had previously accessed in the Community Cafe as a user of its services.

One of his victims reported that he was “nice to her at the beginning,” before assaulting her. In one instance, Beck allegedly grabbed the woman’s left arm to place her hand on his shoulder and grabbed her right hand to place it on his own waist. When questioned as to what he was doing, Beck answered “just a wee bit of Strictly,” referencing a popular dance TV show Strictly Come Dancing in Scotland.

On other occasions, Beck would walk behind her and completely slide against her body in a deliberate, sexually motivated manner. The aggressive, repetitive physical contact caused fear in the victim.

Another victim described Beck as a “vibrant” person who would sing and dance in the kitchen. During a hug, Beck put his hands down the victim’s back and touched her behind. The complainant noted to Beck that this was sexual harassment, moving away and nervously laughing, at which he laughed in return.

The complainant went on to report the incident to police. Beck was arrested in July 2022.

Beck was also convicted in relation to incidents in which he exposed his penis during Zoom calls with co-workers. Between October and December of 2021, Beck worked as a sales representative for Avon, a cosmetics and skincare company.

Beck’s involvement with Avon included weekly conference calls with other women and sales representatives across the UK. The accused appeared on camera for the calls from his home in Stranraer. Between October and December 2021, Beck appeared on the business calls in “a loosely tied dressing gown” and wore nothing underneath.

On more than one occasion, Beck was warned about his attire. There were at least two instances of Beck exposing his penis on the call to other members, due to his camera “slipping.”

During his February hearing, Beck pleaded guilty to both the charges related to his work at the church food bank, and his indecent exposures towards his colleagues. Beck had also been accused of repeatedly assaulting a 13-year-old girl, but had entered a plea of not guilty in February, which prosecutors accepted.

Beck was referred to with “she/her” pronouns in court.

Beck is originally from Leeds, West Yorkshire and is a father of two. In 2008, he was jailed for 2 years after attempting to rape a vulnerable woman. He met his victim through volunteer work with a Christian organization in the community. At the time, Beck did not identify as transgender.

In an August 2008 hearing on that case, the victim told the court that she suffered a “premeditated, sustained, and violent attack” that took place in her own bed while her children were home sleeping.

The woman reluctantly allowed Beck to sleep on a couch in her home after he “manipulated the situation,” telling her someone else was sleeping in his flat and he needed a place to stay. She explained that prior to that night, she was always in the company of other friends when Beck was around, and they were all engaged in voluntary work through a Christian forum in Stevenson. Beck would travel from Leeds to participate.

Beck pled guilty to the sexual assault of the woman, who feared for her life during the attack. She said she had to “fight for her life” to get him off her and that he held his hand over her throat after he removed her clothes in her sleep and began to assault her. She described how she thought she would never see her children again and feared Beck may have killed her.

“I’ve been through hell. He is evil and I believe he will strike again,” the victim stated at the time. For this vile act, Beck was placed on the sex offenders’ register for 10 years. His name would have been removed in 2008.

Sometime after his release from prison, Beck began identifying as a “transgender woman.”

In February of this year, Scotland found itself at the center of an international outcry surrounding the placement of transgender offenders. The debate flared up after it was learned a male double-rapist had been placed in a women’s prison ahead of his sentencing.

News of the placement resulted in global outcry, and the rapist was removed from the female estate after Scotland’s then-First Minister Nicola Sturgeon agreed that he should not be held in the female estate. An urgent review was launched, and it was decided that transgender convicts would first be sent to the institution matching their birth sex before additional reviews are conducted and a decision is made on where to house them.

NORWAY: Woman Fired for Criticizing Medical Transitioning of Youth Takes Her Former Employers To Court

A woman in Norway has taken her employer to court after she was dismissed in apparent retaliation for statements she made on social media criticizing the practice of medically “transitioning” young women. Rianne Vogels is suing her employer, Papillon, for unfair dismissal over her views on gender ideology after the organization’s management received a single, anonymous email complaint.

Vogels first found her employment at risk just one day after she posted a tweet critical of the surgical and hormonal transitioning of girls and young women.

“Transition … may lead to sterility, sexual dysfunction, lifelong hormone dependency, + complications,” wrote Vogels on February 6, 2022. By the following morning, her manager, Leïla Rezzouk, had already received an email about her tweet from a sender using the pseudonym Ron Scofield. The message, written in English as opposed to Norwegian, included a screenshot of Vogels’ tweet and an accusation of racism on the basis that she had an account on Twitter alternative social media platform Gettr.

Vogels provided Reduxx with a copy of the complaint, which took aim at her online conduct.

“Vogels has also displayed on her Twitter account various instances of content that aims to ridicule or associate transgender persons with crime or sexual deviancy,” the sender wrote.

Reduxx attempted to contact the sender using the email address associated with the complaint, but messages immediately bounce-back with a notice reading that “the address couldn’t be found, or is unable to receive mail.”

The same day as the complaint was sent, Vogels received a text from her employer informing her that her name should no longer appear on documents sent to the organization’s funding partners. She was also told that the Board of Directors would be consulted with regards to her employment. Just 24 hours later, Vogels was summoned to a meeting to be held the following day with Leïla Rezzouk and the Board Chair.

Vogels’ former employer, Papillon, serves as a meeting place for “girls and young women with cross-cultural or migrant backgrounds, aged 15-30,” according to the organization’s statutes, and provides guidance services as well as school programs, according to the organization’s website. Vogels says she has been central in the development of the organization  along with her manager, Leïla Rezzouk. Papillon is currently funded by both the private and public sector, and Vogels, who initially joined the team as a pro bono mentor and Board Director in 2018, has more recently acted as the head of strategy and finance.

The anonymous accusations against Vogels have had a ripple effect on one of their collaboration partners. The CEO of an organization that Papillon occasionally works with has similarly been contacted by trans activist groups that are threatening to pull their support for that organization unless it cuts ties with Papillon, based on Vogels’ role at Papillon.

Court proceedings began on March 27, with Vogels claiming she was unfairly dismissed, and Papillon maintaining that management was within their rights to fire her.

As evidence to substantiate their decision, Papillon’s legal counsel presented a 40-page document that included various tweets and ‘likes’ on social media. Attorney Nina Sørensen at Simonsen Vogt Wiig contested that Vogels had not been fired for a single tweet, but for “her statements as a whole and how this appears.” Prior to this incident, neither Vogels nor Papillon had received complaints from clientele about her conduct.

Speaking with Reduxx, Vogels explained that her concerns regarding medical ‘gender’ interventions for youth are based on a lack of research that would indicate the process is beneficial. “As far as I have been able to assess, there is no robust evidence that social or medical transition benefits children or youths, nor have I seen convincing data on adults,” she said.

The number of patients being referred to medical institutions has exploded over the past decade. Between 2007 and 2010, the figure stood at 50-70 consultations per year. Between 2018 and 2021, Norwegian health officials received between 400-600 annual referrals.

On March 9, just weeks before Vogels’ case was brought before a tribunal, the Norwegian Healthcare Investigation Board (UKOM) recommended that national guidelines on the administration of puberty-halting drugs and gender-related surgeries ought to be revised to reflect a lack of medical evidence supporting such interventions.

“The knowledge base, especially research-based knowledge for gender-affirming treatment (hormonal and surgical), is deficient and the long-term effects are little known,” UKOM’s report states. “This is particularly true for the teenage population where the stability of their gender incongruence is also not known.”

Vogels is represented by Birthe Maria Eriksen, a lawyer at ADI Advokater who is known as an expert in matters relating to employee whistleblowers. Eriksen has asserted that case has the potential to set a historic precedent as this is the first time in Norway that a private foundation, organization or company has dismissed a person on the basis of their opinions on a social debate.

Bizarrely, Papillon’s legal counsel has attempted to portray Vogels as being potentially responsible for the whole ordeal, going as far as to suggest that she sent the email herself in an effort to get herself fired.

“My employer’s legal team pointed out that this court case had become a media platform. They then asked me whether I myself had sent the harassing email to my employer. The judge intervened to clarify if they were really asking whether I myself had sent the email from ‘Ron Scofield,'” Vogels told Reduxx.

“In the run-up to the case, Papillon had claimed to be ‘politically neutral’ and that, as a leader at Papillon, my social media should reflect this,” she continued.

“My legal team pulled up an instance where the organization’s CEO Leïla Rezzouk had ‘liked’ a street protest in support of Esben Esther Pirelli Benestad, a trans activist clinician whose medical license had just been revoked. My lawyer and the judge asked the founder whether supporting this protest was a ‘politically neutral’ stance. Rezzouk didn’t appear to understand the question. When asked whether any of my social media posts were acceptable, she said ‘no.'”

Though she has received online abuse since her case became public, Vogels says she has also received encouragement. “The public is rooting for me. Many appear to be shocked by this immediate decision to fire me following an anonymous and harassing email. Many have reached out to me with messages of gratitude or support, even flowers and chocolate, including healthcare professionals, academics, teachers, journalists, concerned parents and a politician,” she said.

One of the witnesses in Vogels’ case is a British women’s rights campaigner who has become a public advocate after she was let go from her position at the think tank The Center for Global Development (CGD) in London. Maya Forstater, co-founder of UK-based non-profit Sex Matters, made headlines when, in 2019, she revealed that her contract had not been renewed by the CGD in retaliation for her views on gender identity ideology. Because she questioned the belief that men could become women, she was singled out by her colleagues and ultimately had her employment terminated.

Forstater then launched a crowdfunder to finance legal representation in order to take her case to an employment tribunal. She garnered the support of high-profile figures, including world-renowned author J. K. Rowling and Irish comedy writer Graham Linehan, and while the initial verdict declared that her views on biological sex were “incompatible with human dignity and fundamental rights of others,” she won her case on appeal in July 2022.

“Rianne Vogels’ case is (as far as we know) the first gender critical belief discrimination case in Europe outside of the UK. My case was based on the European Convention on Human Rights, articles 9 and 10, freedom of belief and freedom of speech, so the principles can be used more widely,” Forstater told Reduxx.

“Listening to what happened to Rianne, it was so similar to my case. She worked for an NGO. She wanted to talk about how the conflation of sex and gender identity impacts on women’s rights, and her employer overreacted to complaints that they should not have taken seriously,” she said.

“So many women and men are facing authoritarian clamp-downs on speech by their employer, and being investigated and punished just for recognizing the basic facts of life. Hopefully with a few more cases they may come to realize that this is unlawful, and costly,” Forstater added.

Vogels’ case against her employer continues and a verdict is expected by the end of the month, but she is far from the first Norwegian have their employment targeted for statements they made on social media.

Including Vogels, at least 15 individuals in Norway are known to have had untraceable emails accusing them of ‘transphobia’ sent to their employers. Seven people – four women and three men – gave brief statements to Norwegian TV 2 under the condition of anonymity, with the men all stating that the emails hadn’t posed a serious threat to their employment. Comments from the women who were targeted were varied, but three out of four indicated that it had negatively impacted them.

One woman in particular is speaking out after her employer received an email alerting them to her alleged ‘transphobia’ in an apparent effort to intimidate her into silence. Sonia Arisland, 42, who works as a teacher at a secondary school in Viken county, told TV 2 that the message was an apparent effort to prevent her from questioning a law that allows anyone over the age of 16 to self-declare their sex.

Her employer chose to report the matter to the police, but as of yet, no formal charges have been filed against the unknown sender, who signed the email Petter A. Hansen.

Arisland took to Twitter to clarify her position. “I am a feminist, anti-racist and socialist on the left. I have also been defined as a ‘TERF’ by activists because I have stated that gender self-identity presents problems that we need to solve.”

The acronym ‘TERF,’ which stands for Trans-Exclusionary Radical Feminist, is regarded by many as an insult or slur. The term is most commonly used to incite harassment, ostracism, or even violence against women who question transgenderism.

Arisland further stated that, in the current political climate, “people who believe that gender must first and foremost be defined by public bodies based on biology, and cannot always be based on a subjective, and for others invisible, inner feeling” are being incorrectly labeled as “far right” or a “transphobe.”

The teacher was also falsely accused of being “one of the most active” in the Norwegian chapter of campaign group Women’s Declaration International (WDI), an organization that calls for the legal recognition and protection of women’s rights and opposes the adoption of public policies based on the subjective declaration of a gender identity. The group has penned a Declaration on Women’s Sex-Based Rights, and supporters are encouraged to add their name to a list of signatories.

WDI Norway has been under fierce attack by trans activists in recent months. Last year, Reduxx reported that an indie video game centered around slaughtering women used a version of the WDI logo in place of Nazi symbolism. The game was designed by transgender programmer Sandra Moen and was released for sale on Steam earlier this year.

Reduxx contacted WDI Norway representative Christina Ellingsen for comment on Vogels’ case and the national crackdown on expressions of opposition to gender ideology. Ellingsen herself was subjected to a police investigation after hate speech charges were filed against her over assertions that men can neither be lesbians nor become mothers.

“It is women who end up face-to-face with the reality of trans activism and the pursuit to erase biological reality; in changing rooms, women’s sports, women’s prisons, women’s health and in the erasure of sex-based data. Criticism of trans ideology will therefore disproportionately come from women,” she said.

“These women are notoriously stalked and harassed by trans activists, via surveillance technologies such as Shinigami Eyes, defamation campaigns on Wikipedia, or attempts to have the livelihoods of these women destroyed,” Ellingsen stated, referring to an “anti-transphobe” browser extension designed by an alleged rapist to target social media users who question gender ideology.

“We do not accept these misogynist harassment campaigns against women. Women have the right to talk about issues that affect their lives without being subjected to threats, stalking and harassment, and employers have a responsibility to uphold the rights of women to freedom from such harassment. We encourage employers to report defamatory emails to the police for harassment.”

AUSTRALIA: Male Serial Killer Who Targeted Women And Transitioned In Prison Is Now Eligible For Parole

A notorious serial killer who targeted women is now eligible for parole after serving his 30 year prison sentence. Paul Denyer, dubbed the Frankston Killer, murdered three women in 1993.

During his sentence, Denyer began identifying as “Paula” and attempted to medically transition, but was denied so-called “gender affirming” care despite his repeated requests. Denyer was also questioned on suspicion of a prison rape while in custody.

Denyer’s decades-long sentence was related to the abduction and murder of three young women over the course of several weeks in 1993. Denyer abducted his first victim, 18-year-old Elizabeth Stevens, on June 11, 1993 by grabbing the teenager when she disembarked a bus. He pressed a pipe to her neck and pretended he had a gun, leading her off to a remote location where he strangled and stabbed her. Stevens body was found undressed from the waist up, and Denyer had used a homemade knife to carve a zigzag pattern into her chest.

Paul Denyer as a young man.

During police interrogation, Denyer recounted his first murder in grisly detail:

“We just walked down towards where the goal posts are and we turned right and headed towards the area where she was found … I started choking her with my hands and she passed out after a while. You know, the oxygen got cut off to her head and she just stopped. And then I pulled out the knife … and stabbed her many times in the throat. And she was still alive. And then she stood up and then we walked around and all that, just walking around a few steps, and then I threw her on the ground and stuck my foot over her neck to finish her off.”

Less than one month later, Denyer attempted to abduct 41-year-old Roszsa Toth as she walked home from work. Using the same method he used to abduct Stevens, Denyer pretended to hold Toth at gunpoint, but the woman managed to flee and flagged down a passing car.

That same evening after the failed abduction of Toth, Denyer abducted and murdered a 22-year-old mother, Debbie Fream. Fream was a new mother and had given birth just 12 days prior. Fream had left her baby in the care of a friend while she went to purchase milk at a nearby store. Denyer broke into her car while she was in the store and, when Fream returned to her vehicle, he seized control of the car and drove away with her. He strangled Fream and stabbed her 24 times before discarding the body in a paddock.

Denyer committed his final murder on July 30, kidnapping and killing 17-year-old Natalie Russell as she walked across a bike track on her way home from John Paul College. Russell fought back, but Denyer stabbed the teen viciously and repeatedly in the face and neck before slitting her throat.

Meanwhile, Denyer’s surviving victim, Toth, had been able to give a description to police of her attacker, and authorities were able to produce a profile and sketch of him that they released to the public. But Denyer was ultimately arrested after a local reported a suspicious man had been lingering in their area in his car.

When police arrived they found his car empty, and Russell’s body shortly after. They were able to link the murder to the suspicious vehicle seen in the area, and tracked down Denyer as its owner.

During an extensive police interrogation, Denyer confessed to all three murders and was able to share details of his crimes and motivations to police.

“I always wanted to kill,” he told investigators, before confessing to stalking women and having killed animals for years prior to his murders. Denyer reportedly stalked his female neighbors for several months leading up to his brutal killing spree. One of Denyer’s stalking victims once returned home to find had her apartment broken into, her cat dead, and threatening words were written in blood on the wall. Pornography material was also found laying around the apartment. Denyer had been amongst those who had volunteered at the time to help find the intruder.

When asked why he killed women during police interviews, Denyer said: “I just hate women.”

After his arrest, a psychological assessment of Denyer concluded that he had no remorse for his crimes. They believe he enjoyed recounting his brutality and was a sadist, ultimately diagnosing him with Sadistic Personality Disorder and Narcissistic Personality Disorder.

Denyer’s defense tried to argue that Denyer was the victim of childhood abuse as a mitigating factor, but this attempt was not accepted by the court as a justification for murder. He was subsequently sentenced to 30 years in prison.

During his detention, Denyer began identifying as a “woman.”

“Paula” Denyer in an undated prison photo.

In a series of letters written to penpals including his estranged brother, Denyer explained that he only killed women because he was angry that he was not female. Denyer described how his “gender dysphoria” led him to seek revenge against women by killing them.

“I committed these disgusting crimes, not because I hated womenkind but because I have never really felt I was male,” he said.

Due to prison security rules at the time, Denyer was denied a legal name change to Paula in 2004. Denyer applied to the prison for women’s clothing and make-up but was denied. A woman who Denyer wrote letters to said he asked her to buy women’s underwear for him, but that prison officers refused to let her send the clothing to him.

A extract from a letter written by Denyer, dated 2003.

According to a prison guard, Denyer had been fashioning his issued clothing into “feminine attire” by making skirts out of jumpers – something which was strictly forbidden in the prison at the time. Denyer was being housed in a single cell in a protection unit alongside Victoria’s most notorious sex offenders after his “transition” to Paula.

In 2004, prison medical professionals assessed Denyer to establish whether he was a suitable candidate for “sex reassignment surgery.” They denied his application.

Many people, including the families of the victims, believe that Denyer’s transgender identity was just a “stunt,” with others suspecting that it was an attempt to get favorable treatment while in prison. In 2022, just as his parole date approached, Crime Reporter John Silvester claimed that Denyer was no longer transgender. Silvester also asserted that Denyer’s transgender identity was “irrelevant to his crimes” despite the fact Denyer himself had stated that his desire to be a woman was directly linked to the murders.

Police have since linked Denyer to possibly being behind similar crimes that had been committed prior to his arrest. Denyer was interviewed in 2011 by homicide detectives over missing woman Sarah MacDiarmid, who disappeared in 1990, but he denied any involvement in her case.

In 2012, Denyer was accused of raping another inmate at Port Phillip Prison. Police from Footscray’s sexual crimes unit interviewed Denyer for four hours about the alleged assault which reportedly started as a massage and led to rape.

The friends and families of Denyer’s victims have previously pleaded for him not to be released.

Victorian MP David Limbrick, who was Natalie Russell’s boyfriend at the time of her murder, helped launch a petition calling for legislation that would keep Denyer behind bars. Brian Russell, Natalie’s father, gave an interview to Channel 7’s Sunrise in October of 2022.

“I think the whole idea of him even being considered for parole is ridiculous,” Brian Russell told Channel 7 at the time.

“He had a good trial and … had psychologists and psychiatrists and everybody agreed that he should never be allowed out into normal society. He showed no remorse,” Russell emphasized.

“He openly stated during questioning that when he gets out of jail, he would just go ahead and kill again.”

A change.org petition has been established demanding Denyer remain in prison and has so far racked up 46,381 out of the 50,000 required signatures to be one of the most-signed petitions on the site.

Convicted Child Rapist Behind Surrogacy Empire Now Under Investigation For Baby Trafficking

A surrogacy empire owned by a convicted pedophile has come under investigation for arranging fictitious marriages, falsifying documents to smuggle babies out of Ukraine, and trading children for profit, according to a Paris-based consortium of journalists.

The Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project (OCCRP) has released an investigation which links Barcelona-based surrogacy company Subrogalia to a network of corporations controlled by two men, one of whom sexually abused the other as a child and has an extensive history of child rape.

December 2008 report published by Interviú on the sexual crimes of José María Hill Prados.

José María Hill Prados, now 62, was 45 years old when he first met Didac Giménez Sánchez at the Casal Dels Infants del Raval center for minors in Barcelona. Prados exposed 12-year-old Sánchez to pornographic films in order to groom him at his home in Cervelló, Spain, where he also sexually assaulted the boy.

In 2007, Prados was sentenced to eight years in prison for sexually abusing both Sánchez and his sister on charges that included raping the children, and for creating illicit pornography of the acts he subjected them to.

However, the sentence was anonymized, with Prados’ identity being obscured as ‘Carlos Jesús’ in court records and Sánchez being identified as ‘Baltasar.’ The following year, Sánchez desperately recanted his allegations, claiming he was pressured into making the accusations. But the judge disagreed, having already heard the boy’s testimony presented to the court, and found there was sufficient evidence to sustain the conviction. Prados would go on to serve his full prison sentence.

This was not the first instance of child sexual abuse committed by Prados. In 1996, he was investigated by a Barcelona court for the alleged crime of corruption of minors and several more sexual assaults of which his four adopted children, aged between 12 and 17, were reported to be victims. Prados, then 36, was the founder of a Russian children’s foster organization called Padres para Siempre (Parents forever), and the details of the case were sealed from the public.

Defense lawyer Jordi Rojo used Prados’ children, those he abused, to argue against his imprisonment, and told the court that his client “loves his children very much and is very concerned about what could happen to them now.” The four minors, two brothers aged 17 and 16 and another two boys aged 13 and 12, had been taken into the care of the Generalitat’s Children’s Department during the court proceedings.

On the day the children were expected to testify in court regarding the allegations, they suddenly backed down and denied that they had ever been sexually abused. As the children had not yet made a statement on the record, Prados could not be convicted.

Soon after Prados was released from prison for his 2007 conviction, he legally changed his name to Diego, and he and his former victim became business partners.

In 2015, Prados and Sánchez set up a surrogacy company called Subrogalia based in Spain, according to corporate records. The company, one of over a dozen currently owned by the two men, was quickly mired in controversy and allegations of child trafficking.

The probe into Prados’ extensive criminal empire found that Subrogalia had been investigated in at least two countries out of the nine where it now operates. Alleged crimes include selling and trafficking of babies, in addition to providing clients with infants that were not biologically related to them.

In 2016, the year after the Spanish franchise of Subrogalia was founded, two gay couples sued the company for failing to deliver them sons as promised. A judge ordered the company to pay €88,000 (approx. $95,000 USD) to the claimants for “serious and grave” breaches of contract.

Subrogalia has operations in as many as nine countries, including Russia, Greece, and, briefly, Mexico. But the primary source of the company’s revenue can be traced to its clinics in Ukraine. The OCCRP investigation cites a former manager who said that, before the war, women in Ukraine bore approximately 100 babies annually for paying parents, each earning the company around €8,000 (approx. $8,600 USD) in profit.

“Dídac [Sánchez] and José María [Prados] share an office. Prados calls himself Diego in the company, perhaps because it is the only name that appears in the Mercantile Registry. They arrive early, go to eat together and leave around eight in the evening. It is difficult to see them separated, they are like the same person”, a former Subrogalia employee told El Confidencial.

“The entire office knows the reality of the company: they know that Diego is not Diego, but José María, the Raval pedophile, and that Dídac is Diego, his victim, who only counts outside the gates. He is the pretty face of Hill Prados for the press, because he knows that his children are too contaminated to come to light,” the source continued, adding that there is frequently an “unjustified presence of minors” at the company.

Whistleblowers at Subrogalia have told the press that Sánchez serves as the face of the company, despite being regarded as a “nobody at a business level.” Prados, it is said, is the “shadow boss” of the scheme. Prados’ adopted sons also similarly assist in business operations. Alan Hill Prados has worked as a surrogacy manager at Subrogalia, and Andrei, who is originally from Russia, acts as an intermediary in dealings between the clinic in his home country and the Barcelona location.

Didac Giménez Sánchez, who was sexually abused by José María Hill Prados when he was 12 years old.

Before the escalation of the conflict in Ukraine, the Eastern European nation earned a reputation as an international hub for the sale of babies through surrogacy contracts. The industry has been known to target women who are struggling financially, offering them payments of approximately $11,000 for a healthy baby – more than three times the average yearly salary in Ukraine.

In order to distance the company from the litigation, Subrogalia Ukraine rebranded as Eurosurrogacy in 2017. Concurrently, Subrogalia Spain was renamed to Gestlife.

“More than 45% of our parents are single men, gay couples, or single gay men, who, at a certain point in their lives, have received the call of parenthood. Surrogacy for gay couples, or for single men, is the best way to achieve parenthood, due to the practical impossibility of a successful international adoption process. The number of surrogacy cases in Spain has, in the last two years, surpassed the number of international adoptions,” reads Gestlife’s website on a page aimed at “LGBT” customers.

Sánchez was also named as the founder of his own Ukrainian IVF clinic in 2017 named InterFiv. In 2021, one of Prados’ sons took over ownership, and that same year the clinic was raided by law enforcement for allegedly arranging fictitious marriages and falsifying documents in order to smuggle babies out of the country.

Prados and Sánchez were also business partners with one of the largest IVF clinic chains in the world, the BioTexCom Clinic in Kiev, which has implanted embryos for about 95 percent of Eurosurrogacy’s Spanish clients.

In 2018, Sergii Antonov, a Kiev-based lawyer specializing in the medical field, told the press that of the estimated 2,000 infants born through surrogacy in Ukraine every year, nearly half were through BioTexCom.

In 2021, yet another surrogacy clinic connected to Prados, InterFiv, was accused of child trafficking.

That same year, Ukrainian authorities opened an investigation into the company. Employees were accused of being involved in a “criminal group” that used surrogacy programs as a cover for trafficking children. Prosecutors allege they helped “foreign citizens to make illegal deals, involving minors” that amounted to “trading children for a financial reward.”

Eurosurrogacy was implicated in the crimes and has had its bank accounts frozen as the probe into their illegal activities continues.

“It is absolutely appalling that a convicted sex offender should be allowed to operate in such a sensitive area as gestational surrogacy, which is based on exploitation of women living in poverty,” Nina Potarska, Ukrainian head of the Women’s International League for Peace and Freedom, told the OCCRP. “Given the background of such exploitation, it is not surprising that there are allegations of malpractice, such as trafficking of babies.”

BioTexCom told the press that its management was unaware of Prados’ criminal record when they went into business together. This claim is not entirely without merit: in addition to his surrogacy network, Prados is also the figure behind a shadowy corporation dedicated to burying and erasing incriminating information from the internet.

“We erase your past,” boasts Eliminalia, a business led by the convicted pedophile, which has netted millions in revenue over the past decade for restoring the online reputation of hundreds of clients who have been convicted and investigated in 54 countries for corruption, money laundering, sexual abuse and drug trafficking.

Last month, over one hundred investigators with the OCCRP analyzed more than 50,000 leaked internal documents related to Eliminalia’s fraudulent business model, including contracts, identification, content requested to be deleted and fees paid by nearly 1,500 users. They found shocking connections to government corruption in Latin America. Among Prados’ clients: the former governor of the Mexican state of Veracruz, Javier Duarte; relatives of Venezuelan Chavista leaders; and doctors linked to Chile’s DINA, the repressive arm of the dictatorship of General Augusto Pinochet. Other customers who requested the removal of their background have been accused of laundering money for the Mexican drug cartel Los Zetas.

Altogether, Prados profited from service fees paid by white-collar criminals and businessmen, but also drug traffickers, child abusers, and crooked politicians. One contract from 2018, the highest single-paying client, amounted to $427,584.

Eliminalia utilizes a network of 600 websites to manipulate search engine algorithms so that falsified articles will appear most prominently while the clients’ undesired information becomes buried. Prados’ Florida company Maidan Holding produces positive results through sites designed to appear authentic. Le Monde France, London New Times, and CNNEWS Today are some of the cover outlets that have hosted news articles about the company’s customers.

Currently Eliminalia is said to operate in a dozen countries, with Italy, Switzerland, Turkey and the US among them. While it was originally based in Kiev, the Russian invasion forced the company to relocate, and EL PAÍS reports that its new location can be found in Georgia. Like the rebranding undertaken by Prados’ surrogacy clinics, Eliminalia is now recorded as Idata Protection S. L., according to business register records.

Police have stated that investigations into the child trafficking activities led by Prados and Sánchez are still underway, but a source within Ukraine’s security service believes they have evidence to support the charges. A case is expected to be brought against InterFiv once Ukraine’s legal system is once again fully operational, though it is unclear at this time when that may be possible.

While the investigation continues into Prados and Sánchez, months ago a representative of Subrogalia in Russia was sentenced to four and a half years in prison for human trafficking after he was found to have sold a child abandoned by a Spanish couple to another client.
