UK: Politician Who Campaigned for “Gender Neutral” Town Found Guilty of Child Sex Abuse

A former councillor who argued for implementing gender neutral spaces in his community has been found guilty on charges related to the sexual abuse of two children.

David Smith, 33, had been charged with 11 counts of inciting or engaging in sexual activity with a child. He was found unanimously guilty on all counts by a jury at Teesside Crown Court today, and was remanded to custody. Sentencing is scheduled for May 16.

The disgraced ex-councillor represented the Coulby Newham ward on Middlesbrough Council following an election victory in May of 2019. Two months later, he was served with a slew of child sex abuse charges. He stepped down from the Conservative Party in July of 2019, and ultimately resigned from the council altogether in 2020.

The first victim came had initially gone to police in 2016 after experiencing great emotional distress related to his past abuse and finally opening up to his partner and mother about the ordeal. A second victim was introduced after the first charges had been established. Both victims had been sexually abused by Smith around a decade ago while they were young boys.

According to Teesside Live, Smith had groomed the first victim by showering him with gifts and trips before progressively subjecting him to increasing sexual abuses. Smith allegedly spent up to £10,000 (approx. $13,000 USD) on the boy in an attempt to “keep him quiet.”

During the trial last week, the court was played audio of the first victim’s interview with police wherein the victim described Smith asking him “did you like it?” after raping him. The victim also noted he witnessed pornographic content on Smith’s computer which included child sexual exploitation materials featuring boys as young as 10 years old.

The victim spoke from behind a privacy screen while addressing the court in earlier sessions, and noted his experiences with Smith had “traumatized” him.

Charges related to a second victim included Smith attempting to persuade the child to engage in sexual activity by inviting him to touch the adult man’s genitals.

During his 2019 campaign and subsequent election, Smith affirmed he was an “advocate of the LGBTQ community,” and one of his first moves once taking office was to petition the Mayor to abolish single-sex toilets in town buildings.

At the time, Smith stated:

“Through my time interaction with local transgender and non-binary people, I’ve seen first hand the difficulties faced by these individuals when accessing public toilets and changing rooms,” adding, “Across the country, pubs, shopping centers, universities, and schools are becoming gender neutral to ensure our transgender and non-binary family and friends feel safe when using the facilities.”

The politician went on to assert that “risk does not increase once public toilets becomes gender neutral. In fact, if anyone has any intention of committing a crime at present, they will do so.”

Smith’s campaign was backed by LGBT charity Hart Gables, and was ultimately successful, with an attempt being launched shortly after in which toilets intended for persons with disabilities were converted into “all gender” facilities for a period of time.

Trans BDSM Fetishist Is Advising UK Hospitals to Ignore Single-Sex Wards Law

As details of multiple sex attacks in trans-inclusive hospital wards continue to emerge, the transgender Diversity Lead at the largest NHS Trust in the UK is pushing his colleagues to ignore the laws guaranteeing females single-sex spaces.

Tara Hewitt, a biological male who identifies as a woman, currently serves as the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Lead at the Northern Care Alliance NHS Group. Hewitt has requested that medical personnel ignore a recent guidance preserving single-sex spaces for women receiving health services.

Last Monday, the Equalities and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) issued a new guidance asserting that it is lawful to exclude men from women-only spaces, provided the reasoning is “legitimate and proportionate.” The statement is a reassertion of the current law, which has been called into question due to misrepresentation by trans activists and lobbying organizations, such as Stonewall.

Hewitt promptly condemned the ruling as ‘transphobic’ and urged his colleagues to ignore its guidance.

He said: “This guidance is highly likely to be found unlawful at Judicial review & is incredibly transphobic … When will attacks on trans people end in UK? I urge my equality professional colleagues to give this guidance the credibility it deserves by putting it in bin & continue as usual.”

Hewitt’s sentiment was repeated by the Trans NHS Staff Network, which shared the EHRC guidance with the following message:

“We urge all NHS Equality Teams to ignore this transphobic & hostile guidance from EHRC that is likely to be found unlawful at judicial review & continue to write & follow trans inclusive policies & guidance across your orgs … We need civic leaders to stand up for what’s right.”

Hewitt retweeted the statement and asked influential NHS colleagues to convey the message to their staff. Kathryn Thomson, the chief executive of Liverpool Women’s NHS Foundation Trust — the only specialist hospital for women in the UK — and Dr. Paul Gilluley, chief medical officer at the East London NHS Foundation Trust both replied, “Will do.”

Robbie Naylor, the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion lead at Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, responded “absolutely,” while Asmina Chowdhury, Lead for Diversity, Inclusion, & Patient Public Engagement at South East Coast Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust said: “No equality lead worth their salt should be advising exclusion of our #trans colleagues.”

Emily Wraw, the head of equality, diversity and inclusion at Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust, tweeted: “Quick reminder to NHS colleagues that the NHS England guidance on Delivering Same Sex accommodation (2019) remains in force, including Annexe B – single sex wards in the NHS are trans-inclusive.”

Annex B is a provision that recommends medical staff accommodate a patient’s self-declared sex upon hospital admission. Baroness Nicholson, speaking in the House of Lords on March 16, detailed how this provision had enabled a man to rape at least one woman in the women’s ward of an NHS hospital.

After she reported the assault, according to Nicholson, she was told by health service providers that her rape could not have happened as no males were present. CCTV and witness accounts later verified the woman’s testimony, after which police began an investigation.

Speaking on Twitter, Baroness Nicholson stated that she knew of at least “ten” such instances of sexual violations that had occurred as a result of Annex B.

Tara Hewitt advises NHS Trusts across the UK and lectures health care students. Hewitt has said in a March 2019 tweet that “trans women’s bodies are not male bodies”. He opposes abortion and is a self-professed BDSM fetishist with ties to a trans activist organization that has called for the release of all trans-identified prisoners.

Hewitt has been politically active in both Labour and, more recently, the Conservative Party, for whom he stood as a councilor. During that campaign it emerged that he had an interest in BDSM and dressing up as an animal for sex, euphemistically referred to as “furrydom.”

In a 2016 presentation for the LGBT Cancer Support Alliance, Hewitt revealed that he had worked with Action for Trans Health, an organization which published a manifesto demanding the immediate release of trans criminals from prison:

“We demand that trans people are immediately freed from police, military, and government contracts without repercussions. We reject the system of blackmail that corporations and governments engage in, whereby trans people who can work are “rewarded” with slightly less mistreatment in exchange for the exploitation of our labor. We will mot allow pink washing of the violence of capitalism, imperialism, and the state.”

The manifesto, which has since been deleted, was published on Tumblr in 2018 and also demanded tax-payer funded access to all forms of plastic surgery and body modification without any questions asked by medical professionals:

“We demand the freedom to alter our bodies without justification. We demand an end to all surgical prerequisites — nobody should have to prove life experience, health, or have to be taking hormones in order to exercise bodily autonomy. We demand that these surgeries can be highly customized to meet our individual and unique needs. We demand the right to multiple surgeries, including reversal of previous surgeries if desired, so that we do not have to fear regret…”

The manifesto goes on to list the types of ‘demanded’ procedures, including hysterectomies, liposuction, orchiectomies, breast augmentations, microdermabrasion and more.

Additionally, during the 2016 presentation, Hewitt spoke about men who cross-dress for sexual pleasure. He clarified that men who wear women’s underwear to satisfy a fetish are included under the trans umbrella.

Speaking to a room filled with women, Hewitt said, “You’ve got people that fetishistically cross-dress and wear clothing to get a sexual desire out of the clothing of the opposite gender. It generally tends to be associated with men wearing women’s underwear.”

Hewitt was shortlisted for the Excellence in Diversity awards for his work with the NHS in 2016 and has appeared in the Independent on a list of the 100 most influential LGBT people in the UK.

High School Teacher Dances in Drag for Students During “Fine Arts Week”

A video out of a Wisconsin high school is making the rounds on social media and raising concerns from parents.

The video shows a teacher performing in drag for students at what appears to be an assembly event, with the original poster stating it was from Middleton High School’s “Fine Arts Week.” According to the school’s academic calendar, the event took place from April 4th to 8th.

The teacher dances in what is intended to be a plunge-cut dress, with one side of the glittering blue fabric raised so short that the man’s rear is visible multiple times in the short clip while the man is posing and spinning. He appears to be wearing flesh-colored stockings beneath the dress and red-high heel boots.

Since the video’s release, one parent has come out and confirmed the man performing on stage was Matthew Kashdan, the school’s only male French teacher. Kashdan lists ‘he/him/his’ pronouns in his Instagram bio.

While the video was just uploaded within the last hour, parents have already begun to pile under the tweet, expressing outrage that such an event was able to go forward.

“Is it just me, or does it seem like teachers are increasingly becoming teachers specifically to try to gain some kind of personal validation?” One user wrote in response to the video, with another saying: “Your tax dollars at work. Your children won’t be able to read or do math, but they’ll ace drag show competitions,” a reference to the statistics on Middleton’s academic performance Lennington put in his tweet.

“There are places designated for this. They are called Drag bars. Not schools,” another user replied, with others asking whether the show had gone forward with parental notification or not.

Drag-related performances and their appropriateness for youth have become hot topics over the last few years, especially since the controversial spread of Drag Queen Story Hours across North America and Europe. In 2019, it was discovered that a registered sex offender had been performing at a Texas library for children as a Drag Queen.

The “Drag Kid” phenomena has similarly raised eyebrows amongst concerned adults, with many noting that drag performances are inherently sexual in nature. In some cases, “Drag Kids” as young as 11 have been recorded performing for adults in clubs.

Most recently, a 15-year-old boy was lauded in British media for his drag persona “Cherry West,” which he began to develop after his father brought him to a drag bar at age 10.

Reduxx attempted to reach out to Middleton High School and the Middleton-Cross Plains Area School District for more information on whether parents were informed about the performance before it took place, but could not reach any staff responsible for media.

Shannon Valladolid, the District’s director of Information and Public Relations, did confirm to Empower Wisconsin that the District had so far received one formal complaint about the show.

EXCLUSIVE: Florida Lawyer Seeking Information From “Gender Surgeon” Patients

A Florida lawyer is seeking information from past patients of a TikTok-infamous gender surgeon in her effort to file a formal complaint with the Florida Attorney General about her deceptive and unfair practices.

Kendra Parris of Parris Law in Orlando, Florida has told Reduxx she is seeking information on past patients of Dr. Sidhbh Gallagher after hearing reports of potentially unethical, improper behavior from the surgeon, including that she had been advertising cosmetic and ‘gender affirming’ surgeries directly to minors on social media.

Gallagher, a Miami-based plastic surgeon, rose to internet fame after making quirky TikToks aimed at minors, primarily girls, pursuing “gender affirming” procedures. She became most associated with her infamous catchphrase “yeeting the teets,” a flippant, joking way to refer to performing cosmetic mastectomies, or breast removals, to her primarily underage female audience. Reduxx has previously revealed social media posts indicating that Dr. Gallagher had allegedly performed a mastectomy on 13-year-old girl.

Parris, whose focus is on mental health law, says she became aware of Gallagher shortly after noticing an “explosion” in gender dysphoria amongst her adult and minor clientele.

KENDRA PARRIS

“Most of those clients had co-occurring [Autism Spectrum Disorder] or ADHD, so it was an interesting phenomenon that I filed away in the back of my head,” Parris says, noting that she then became interested in Dr. Gallagher’s work after seeing her on the reality TV show ‘I Am Jazz.’

“When I reviewed [her] social media profiles, I was astounded and angry by the vulgar language and casual attitude toward major surgical interventions and mental health disorders. Because what she seemed to be doing was selling a new form of psychosurgery to kids on TikTok.” Parris draws a parallel to lobotomies, saying that Gallagher is “performing the psychosurgery on the body rather than the brain,” but says the intention is the same, to improve mental health outcomes.

“It’s a fascinating concept, but one for which there isn’t scientific support yet – especially not when it comes to minors.”

Parris says her research into Gallagher found that the surgeon’s career had taken an “interesting trajectory,” noting that the surgeon started out serving a very different clientele before rapidly moving states and shifting surgical focus. Gallagher had her beginnings doing male-to-female bottom surgeries in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Gallagher’s practice in that state is the subject of multiple extremely negative RealSelf reviews, with former patients reporting disastrous, dangerous results or a lack of post-operative care. One review from December of 2017 has the patient calling their vaginoplasty results a “clusterf*ck of sorrow,” and noting that they had returned to illegal drug use in order to cope with the pain and emotional burden the botched surgery had left them with. But Parris says there’s far more dissatisfied patients than the few reviews floating around on the internet would suggest, and notes that many transgender individuals are also outraged at what Gallagher has done to past patients, or is doing in terms of marketing towards minors.

“I’ve been in touch with several of her former patients [in Indiana] and they all report severe, adverse results that were not properly handled by Gallagher along with other unethical behavior, such as asking patients to send sensitive medical information to her Gmail account,” Parris says, noting that she believes Gallagher may have violated HIPAA regulations, and failed to follow up with patients experiencing severe complications.

In 2020, Gallagher moved to Miami, Florida and began almost exclusively focusing on female-to-male mastectomies and chest masculinization surgeries. She’s since amassed a large following on TikTok, where she appears to advertise her surgical offerings in a viral fashion.

“These are much less complicated surgeries that left her with much less exposure,” Parris says, continuing: “That is when she commenced her odious marketing scheme that seems targeted to youth on TikTok, which I believe blurs the lines between ads for cosmetic and medically-necessary surgeries.”

Parris says her own experience with mental health issues is part of what is driving her to pursue this complaint, with the lawyer noting that she takes the ethics of practitioners very seriously.

“I believe that the marketing and advertising in which Gallagher is engaged now are targeted at women and girls in an unsafe and unhealthy manner. This is a cohort that has historically been least likely to experience gender dysphoria and most likely to detransition, and I believe Gallagher’s marketing scheme may be influencing girls and women to pathologize body image issues and jump into irreversible medical processes.”

Parris has set up a confidential e-mail through which past patients of Dr. Gallagher can reach out to her directly, noting that she is interested in learning more about their experiences — especially whether they were properly informed about any potential complications associated with their procedures, whether Gallagher minimized the risks during consultation, or even if patients felt rushed, influenced by her social media marketing, or otherwise uncared for.

“Gallagher should be well aware that complaints have been filed against her … She drops petty hints on her social media pages [that she knows], and I’m not above dropping petty hints back,” Parris says.

“I am not backing down. Neither are her former patients who are assisting me behind the scenes – she knows that too.”

Former patients of Dr. Sidhbh Gallagher interested in speaking with Kendra Parris can reach her at [email protected]. Please note, this is not for the purposes of creating an attorney-client relationship. Reduxx has no association with or access to the emails sent to Parris Law.

Maryland Teachers To Hide Kindergartener “Social Transitioning” From Parents

The Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) is directing teachers to incorporate lessons about gender identity to kindergartners, and says that teachers in the state are not required to inform parents should a child express a desire to socially transition.

According to the MDSE health education guidelines, “gender identity and expression” should be introduced to pre-K students in order for them to learn to “recognize and respect that people express themselves in many different ways,” and to understand “intergenerational” relationships.

Content related to gender identity gradually increases according to grade level, and by grade 6 students are expected to “define sex assigned at birth, gender identity, and gender expression”.

Parents are not given a choice as to whether their children will be taught about gender identity in pre-K and kindergarten. The curricula framework states, “Opt-out is permitted for family life and human sexuality education starting in grade 4.”

In addition, the MDSE information disclosure guidelines assert that there are neither state nor federal laws requiring school personnel to disclose a student’s self-declared gender identity or status to the child’s parents. Teachers are also expected to comply with student’s wishes to be referred to as the opposite sex.

The guidelines state, “Address every student by a name and pronoun that corresponds to the student’s gender identity. Privately ask students how they want to be addressed in class and whether this will be different when in correspondence to the home or at conferences with the student’s parents or guardians.”

A presentation for Harford County teachers on LGBT instruction obtained through a Maryland Public Information Act request depicts possible scenarios teachers may encounter in which they are encouraged to withhold information from parents, as first reported by The National Desk.

“So for this scenario… a student has shared with you that they are currently transitioning. They also reveal to you that their parent does not know. You may be unsure if they are supportive of this transition or not. What you could say is, ‘Thank you for letting me know. Is there anything that I can do to support you?’” one of the presenters said.

“And just like the question regarding the roster, you can say back, ‘When I communicate with your parent or guardian, what name and pronouns would you like me to use?’”

Legal representative for conservative group The Heritage Foundation, Sarah Perry, has emphasized that “parents have a constitutional right to raise and educate their children how they see fit.”

“Children are not wards of the state. They are to be parented in such a way that the parents are primary authority until the age of emancipation on things like education, health and welfare,” she told TND

In March, LA County mother Abigail Martinez accused her school of encouraging her daughter to transition while failing to properly address her depression, ultimately leading to the girl’s suicide.

In a statement sent to the Daily Mail, LA County agreed that they “aggressively pursued the implementation of inclusive, gender-affirming laws, policies and supportive services for LGBTQ+ youth,” but blamed the student’s death on “higher rates of suicide” among young people who identify as transgender.

Two statistics that are commonly used by transactivists as evidence of an increased suicidality correlated with a declared gender identity are 41, or even 48, percent of young transgender people have attempted suicide.

However, the authors of the study responsible for the 41% figure have admitted their research was flawed. According to the authors, the questionnaire included “only a single item about suicidal behavior that asked, ‘Have you ever attempted suicide?’ with dichotomized responses of Yes/No. Researchers have found that using this question alone in surveys can inflate the percentage of affirmative responses.” The survey also did not account for any mental health conditions.

The 48% figure originated with a survey by mental health charity PACE that has been thoroughly discredited. Due to its sample size of just 27 self-selected people, the UK’s Independent Press Standards Organisation (IPSO) issued a statement cautioning that journalists who repeat the statistic are distorting the truth as it “highlights potential editorial standards issues relating [to] accuracy”.

Similarly, the MDSE disclosure guidance cites suicidality as its reasoning for withholding information from parents. A 2011 report from the National Center for Transgender Equality and the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force is sourced, though its sample size is limited to 132 respondents.

Moreover, research has shown that suicide contagion can occur through exposure to suggestion through media reports of suicide resulting in increased ideation and related behaviors.

Women May Be Cited With “Hate Incidents” if Objecting to Strip Searches by Trans Police Officers: New Guidance

A whistleblower has revealed new guidance issued to police forces across the UK which could potentially lead to the criminalization of female detainees unwilling to validate a transgender police officer’s identity.

Cathy Larkman, a 30-year police veteran, has come out and stated that she was “gobsmacked” when she saw the new guidelines distributed amongst the Police Chiefs, ones which were quietly issued in December. Larkman told the Mail on Sunday that the guidelines would allow trans-identified male officers to participate in the strip-searches of female detainees.

The guidelines state that “Chief Officers are advised to [recognize] the status of Transgender colleagues from the moment they transition, considered to be, the point at which they present in the gender with which they identify,” continuing: “Thus, once a Transgender colleague has transitioned, they will search persons of the same gender as their own lived gender.”

Larkman, who rose to the post of Superintendent in the South Wales Police Force before retiring in 2021, says she had become increasingly concerned with the declining level of trust between civilian women and the police. In October of last year, she began writing letters to the College of Policing, National Police Chief’s Council (NPCC), and Police Federation seeking information on what was being done to address that decline.

Last week, Larkman received the new guidance from the NPCC, and says “the more I read it, the more shocked I became … They claim they are trying to be inclusive. But this isn’t inclusive of women and it doesn’t respect their sex.”

But most disturbingly, the guidelines suggest that female detainees who object to strip searches by biological male officers may be cited with a “hate incident” in the event the objection is deemed to be on discriminatory grounds.

“If the refusal is based on discriminatory views, consideration should be given for the incident [to] be recorded as a non-crime hate incident unless the circumstances amount to a recordable crime,” the guidelines state.

According to the College of Police, non-crime hate incidents are defined as an incident that is not a criminal offense, but may have been motivated “wholly or partially by hostility.” The incidents may be utilized to constitute an actual criminal charge. Alleged victims of non-crime hate incidents are often referred to victims services.

Larkman says that the guidelines put a burden on vulnerable detainees who might already be overwhelmed by the circumstances of arrest.

“To top it off, if I as a woman was being strip-searched and I said ‘no, I’m not being searched by that officer, that’s a man’ I could be written up for committing a non-crime hate incident. The document then says that, if that does happen, they should consider giving support to the officer affected, not the member of the public. It is absolutely beyond belief.”

According to the Daily Mail, Larkman, who commanded over 500 officers in the South Wales Police Force, fears the new guidance will also put female police officers in a difficult position.

“If they are searching biological males who self-identify as women they will be under a lot of pressure to just go along with it and keep quiet because they could be disciplined for refusing,” she said.

The United Kingdom has long been seen as ground-zero for much of the gender ideology debate, with stories routinely emerging from the nation about women being arrested or criminalized for not adequately validating a trans-identified male’s identity.

In 2019, a mother in Hertfordshire was arrested in front of her children and held for over 7 hours after being reported for “misgendering” a man who identified as a woman on Twitter. Kate Scottow’s conviction was ultimately overturned on appeal the next year, but was just one of many similar cases that would emerge.

Scottish feminist Marion Miller was charged with a hate crime after posting a photo of a suffragette ribbon on her social media. She ultimately won her case, with all charges against her being dropped. That same year, Maya Forstater, a think-tank researcher, won her years-long battle at an Employment Tribunal after losing her job over allegedly “transphobic” tweets.

Despite ample laws protecting transgender people in the UK, as well as experiencing a lower-than-average murder rate, trans activists often claim the country is “unsafe” for transgender people.

Trans Murderer Now Identifying as Infant Girl, Demanding Diapers to Wear in Prison

A trans-identified male convicted of murder has now begun identifying as an infant and demanding diapers to wear. Sophie Eastwood, born Daniel, was jailed for life in 2004 after strangling his cell mate to death, and was once dubbed “Hannibal Lecter Jr.” due to the abusive “mind games” he played with prison staff.

Eastwood has told prison officials at Polmont jail that he identifies as a baby and is entitled to diapers and meals that have been blended like baby food, according to the Daily Record. Eastwood is also requesting that prison guards hold his hand when escorting him from his cell.

Prison officials are taking his demands seriously and establishing protocols to comply with his fetish. Eastwood has already been provided with a pacifier.

A source told the Daily Record: “This prisoner has been difficult and manipulative over the years, which is why [he] is still behind bars after 17 years,” continuing that “Eastwood is a complex person and intelligent but [he] is pretty demanding on the resources of the prison and enjoys being the center of attention … It’s difficult to know if [he] really does feel a natural inclination to be treated like a baby or if it’s just some kind of attention seeking.”

The source added that the potential “legal implications” of not complying with inmate demands is prompting the prison to take Eastwood’s request seriously.

Eastwood, 36, is serving a life sentence for murdering a man in 2004 while in prison on another charge. Shortly after being detained, correctional officers dubbed him “Hannibal Lecter Jr.” due to the “chilling mind games” the inmate would play with the staff, one of which caused a female guard to quit her post after just one shift with him.

Eastwood had terrified the 22-year-old guard after telling her intimate details about herself, including the exact address of both herself and her father, and even the models of both her and her mother’s vehicles. The woman issued a letter of resignation which was published after she was secure.

Eastwood began identifying as a woman in 2018 and was subsequently transferred to a woman’s unit. But in October of 2021, the murderer began claiming he was being discriminated against due to his transgender identity, and that it was “sexist and transphobic” that he was not being allowed release from prison despite passing the minimum sentence milestone.

The same year he declared he was a woman, Eastwood made headlines for sparking a relationship with another trans-identified male inmate, the interactions with which resulted in a transfer being prompted to distance them.

The inmate, Alan Baker, was serving a 19 year sentence for butchering a father of two he met on a gay dating website. Baker stabbed him 16 times just hours after they met, and was sentenced to life in prison in 2013. Three years later, he began identifying as a woman and secured a transfer to the women’s unit of Greenock prison. At the time, fellow inmates decried this move as an attempt to simply secure special privileges.

Eastwood and Baker met while both were at the women’s unit at Greenock, and the two began having a sexual relationship, with the female inmates reporting discomfort as the intimate trysts took to being in open view of all. Eastwood was ultimately transferred out of Greenock in order to separate him from Baker.

Last week, campaign group Keep Prisons Single Sex protested outside of Polmont prison, calling for an end to the sex self-identification policies which allow males to be transferred in women’s jails. According to the organization, women inside prisons are reporting sexual threats and male sexual behaviour.

UK Theatre Company Staging “Family Sex Show,” Invites Children As Young As 5

A theatre company in the United Kingdom is facing backlash after announcing it was staging a production aimed at children as young as 5 which would feature full-frontal nudity and offer an “alternative to porn.”

ThisEgg, a production company run by Josie Dale-Jones, is set to put on The Family Sex Show at the Royal Theatre in Bath, United Kingdom this coming May. The show is being run as part of the Theatre’s “incubator program,” a creative center within the facility intended to support projects aimed at young people.

The Family Sex Show’s website boasts that it’s a performance intended for parents and children about “exploring names and functions, boundaries, consent, pleasure, queerness, sex, gender and relationships,” and that it seeks to provide “intersectional, feminist, non-binary, anti-racist & sex-positive take on Relationships and Sex Education.”

ThisEgg states that the age suitability for the show is 5+, asserting that “sexual development and behavior in children starts from birth.”

While a pre-show document detailing precisely what will be occurring isn’t available yet, the FAQs write that there will be nudity during the program.

“There is nakedness, yes. At one point in the show, everyone on stage takes their clothes off to the level they feel comfortable to. For some people, that’s taking off all of their clothes and being completely naked. For other people that means taking off bottoms but leaving underwear on, for others it’s not taking off anything at all. This moment last approximately five minutes.”

Within the FAQs, the show also states it hopes to serve as an “alternative to porn” for youngsters, noting that they will not be going over anything that is already “widely taught” including biology, reproduction, STIs, or other science-based sex education.

As news of the upcoming production spread like wildfire on social media today, many users expressed outrage at the concept.

“I’m sorry but I am going to say it. This reeks of grooming. I’m horrified… 5 year olds… this can’t go ahead,” one Twitter user wrote in reply to a post putting the production on blast by journalist Sonia Poulton.

Another user tweeted, “Can I please vote for bringing back shame, thanks!” in response to The Family Sex Show’s claim that it sought to “imagine a future where there is no shame.”

Many mothers and women’s rights activists took particular issue with what they called a “safeguarding nightmare.”

One user looked into the show’s claim about its appropriateness for children aged as young as 5, writing that the guidelines the show was pulling were from the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (NSPCC) — a UK-based children’s charity.

Of the guidelines, user Kelly White wrote: “… suffice to say, the NSPCC’s definition of children exploring sexualized behavior is weird [as f*ck] to me!”

White posted screenshots from the NSPCC’s website showing the organization’s description of the allegedly “sexualized behavior” displayed by young children, which included things such as play-relationships and hand-holding.

“Asking questions, mimicking and repeating things they’ve seen and heard is pretty much what kids do all the time,” White tweeted, “how this connects to ‘children displaying sexualized behavior’ if they hold hands, pretend they’re [boyfriend] and [girlfriend] or what have you doesn’t make sense to me.”

ThisEgg’s website for the production notes that it is being made in consultation with the School of Sexuality Education, a training facilitator which provides “LGBTQIA+ inclusive” workshops on “consent, sexual health, porn and positive relationships” within UK schools.

The Family Sex Show is being held from May 23 to 27, and is receiving funding from the Shoreditch Town Hall and National Theatre Studios.

OPINION: Porn, Pedophiles, and a Combination of Both

Yesterday, a verified account on Twitter issued one of the most deranged takes I’ve seen in a long time (and that’s saying something).

Aella, a liberal feminist pornographer who stylizes herself as an “intellectual sex worker,” tweeted to her 100,000+ followers: “Child porn is created when people get paid to make child porn; the rarer you make it, the more they get paid. The best way to protect children is to kill the economic demand; flood the market with AI generated, freely accessible stuff that’s created with zero harm to actual kids.”

The tweet went viral for all the wrong reasons, wracking up a few thousand quote-tweets in one of the most epic collective ratios I had ever seen prior to being promptly deleted by the poster. Of course, she insists she deleted it not because it was a garbage take and she was getting her ass handed to her by the furious hoards, but because [insert cope here].

I’m sure Aella thought she was really doing something special, attempting to apply the recently re-popularized “harm reduction model” to child sexual abuse material. But, in fact, her cringeworthy ramblings are nothing but regurgitated drivel we’ve seen before… too many times.

Even as recently as a few months ago, the now-infamous ex-instructor Allyn Walker, formerly of Old Dominion University, similarly argued that “minor attracted people” could be provided “ethical child pornography” to facilitate a reduction in their offending. Prostasia, a pedophile-sympathetic organization has also been arguing for funding to explore “fantasy outlets” for child sexual abusers.

Of course, there is absolutely no evidence, beyond the qualitative interview-based musings from so-called “non-offending pedophiles,” that any such strategy would work.

If access to a robust directory of child sexual abuse material negates the desire to harm a child in real life, as this argument is seemingly premised on, the rates of child sexual abuse amongst consumers of such material should be low, right? And yet…

According to one federal review (PDF), while 12% of a sample of criminals charged with child pornography-related offenses had prior contact sex offenses in their official records, 55% self-disclosed that they had prior sexual contact with a child. Another study placed the latter figure at closer to 85%. Yet another places it at 76%.

Interestingly, a 2009 study of men in treatment after being charged with receiving, possessing, or distributing child sexual abuse material found that while 74% of them had no prior criminal record for hands-on child sexual abuse, by the end of their 18-month program a whopping 85% had admitted to sexually abusing a child in real life at least once, with an average of 13.5 victims per offender.

And shifting to be as close to home as possible: I have to admit the eye-rolling, sardonic snort I let out when I discovered Ms. OnlyFans-Top-3%‘s Tweets came roughly 24 hours after a pedophile in Utah was arrested for registry non-compliance and police discovered — you guessed it — computer-generated child pornography on his computer. The man had been on the registry for lewdness with a child, and had been posting on the internet about wanting to rape a little girl. According to police, he’d been staking out children at a local park.

But none of this is surprising to anyone who has even just one brain cell to split and half and rub together.

Despite the plethora of arguments I could make definitively demonstrating the consumption of child sexual abuse material does nothing to stop actual children from being assailed, I feel as though there is a critical disconnect with the purveyors of arguments like Aella’s in which no amount of evidence could convince them of something other than that which they have set their minds on.

It is not that they hold this fundamentally flawed belief because they are ignorant of the reality, but rather because they don’t care about it. Their reality is simply very different from ours.

I find it telling that, in her Tweet, Aella’s first line was: “Child porn is created when people get paid to make child porn.”

No. Child porn is created when degenerates are aroused by seeing children be sexually abused. The transactional details associated with the economy of the material is almost irrelevant when addressing the primary issue: that there is demand for it to begin with.

Aella-The-Intellectual’s argument was dead-on-arrival and she didn’t even see it.

But how could we expect her to look at the buyers? As a porn star, Aella’s entire income relies on rationalizing the sick desires of the men who purchase her content and never interrogating them too deeply.

It’s all just economics to her; on-demand, $3.99/month “fantasy outlets” intended to provide a way to “live out” totally innocent internal musings. We see this narrative amongst justifications for rape, incest, abuse, and torture porn — all of which are readily accessible at no cost, mind you, and yet have done diddly squat to impact the actual occurrence of those crimes.

Try to question why the demand for such porn even exists and you’ll invariably be met with finger-wagging that you don’t “stigmatize” or “kink shame” people’s sexual proclivities.

Everything is justifiable if nothing really exists.

But unfortunately, it does. Child abuse is real. Rape is real. Abuse is real. Incest is real. And the sexualization of those grotesque realities isn’t a side note to be skipped over in favor of debating the economics of the industries which cater to those who fantasize about them… It is quite literally the only thing that matters.

To emphasize that point, note that one Canadian study found the consumption of even completely legal adult pornography amongst child molesters was a predictor for recidivism.

In her now-deleted Tweet, Aella was unable to recognize the importance of addressing the fundamental sickness actually driving demand because to do so would put her in the rather uncomfortable moral and intellectual position of accepting that, at the end of the day, it’s all the same shit.

The solution isn’t to “kill the economic demand,” as she said. It’s to kill the demand.

Take that how you will, but remember that it’s all just innocent “fantasy.”

(modo irónico on)
