Transgender Child Killer Released from Prison, Threatens “TERFs” on Social Media

A social media account harassing, impersonating, and threatening women critical of gender ideology appears to belong to a trans-identified male convicted of the brutal torture and murder of a 13-year-old child.

On October 24, Reduxx reported that Synthia China Blast had been discharged from his parole with the New York Department of Corrections and Community Supervision on July 30, quietly marking the end of his sentence and release conditions.

Blast, born Luis Morales, was sentenced in 1996 for the horrific murder of 13-year-old Ebony Nicole Williams. Blast, along with his boyfriend Carlos Franco, were sentenced to 25 years for the crime, one that had both sexist and racist motivations.

Blast and Franco, members of the Almighty Latin King and Queen Nation gang, targeted the young girl less than 24 hours after she had run away from home. Williams taken to an apartment in Hunts Point where she was held captive.

According to case investigators at the time, Blast and Franco tortured the young girl before stabbing her repeatedly. Realizing she was still alive after having been slashed by Blast, Franco then stomped on the child’s neck until it was broken. Prior to being killed, Blast had reportedly sexually assaulted the girl.

Following her death, Blast and Franco packed the girl’s naked body into a box and dumped it near the Sheridan Expressway. Finally, they doused the box in gasoline, and set it ablaze. A passenger on a nearby train saw the flames and called 911. Blast and Franco were apprehended shortly after the body was retrieved by police.

During the trial, Bronx Prosecutor William Hrabsky said of the crime: “The suffering that this poor child went through is beyond belief and puts this crime in the category of monstrous and barbarous.”

Despite pleading innocence in court and to media in later interviews, Blast had reportedly “bragged” about committing the crime to friends, some of whom would later testify against him on this basis.

While a rape conviction was never pursued, as the girl’s body had been too severely mutilated for authorities to collect a DNA sample, Blast and Franco both received 25-to-life for the murder of Williams.

One week after the publication of the Reduxx article reporting on Blast’s discharge from parole, Reduxx received an email from an account infuriated that the piece had mentioned the allegations that Blast had raped Williams. The email was sent from an address beginning with the number ‘4300.’

A screen capture of the email received by Reduxx staff on November 7.

The same day, a Twitter account surfaced with the handle @Code4300, impersonating Reduxx Editor-in-Chief Anna Slatz, using her photo and Reduxx branding.

While posting highly disturbing, sexualized comments on Slatz, the account began following women’s rights advocates on Twitter in a clear effort to get their attention.

While posing as Slatz, the @Code4300 account claimed to be in a relationship with a trans-identifying male and called for a boycott against, and the banning of, Reduxx. The owner of the account also made several references to Blast and asserting his innocence, using both the female pseudonym and his birth name, Luis Morales.

The account also threatened Slatz, and claimed to have her home address. Within 24 hours, it began cycling through impersonating other female contributors and supporters of Reduxx, using their names and profile photos to post disturbing content.

Shortly after, @Code4300 was linked to an Instagram account similarly utilizing the ‘4300’ moniker — one which was quickly discovered to belong to Synthia China Blast.

Blast’s email, Twitter, and Instagram all included the number ‘4300.’

On Instagram, Blast posted about being in a women’s shelter in 2020, which would have been shortly after he was paroled. Around that same time, he advertised a bed available in his apartment for rent, requesting only “men into trans women or women into trans women” apply.

While using the @Code4300 moniker on Twitter, Blast had engaged in repeated calls for violence against women, and in particular women who are critical of the notion that men can become women.

“TERFs are not only anti-trans they are also anti-men. We must eradicate them before their diseases spread to our young children,” read the account’s description, which has since been changed, along with the username and profile photo.

Since being exposed as running the account on Twitter, Blast has continued to assert his innocence of the crimes he was convicted of — a trend that follows his previous claims to media that he was wrongfully accused.

In addition to calling for violence against women, the author made statements suggesting he believes that trans-identifying males are superior to women.

Prior to engaging in the targeted harassment of Reduxx staff and women associated with the publication, @Code4300 claimed to be in favor of “abolishing prisons,” and celebrated both the shooting of a police officer and the stabbing of a Corrections Officer at Rikers Island.

In the following days, a second Twitter account claiming to be Blast was created using the name HuntingTERFs.

“For the record, my name is Synthia China Blast and I was wrongfully convicted of murder,” reads one post from November 10.

The tweet has since been deleted due to violating the twitter rules.

The second account also boasted that another conviction would see Blast placed in a women’s prison. “If I’m ever again arrested, I go with the females now. No more men’s prison for me,” @KillingTime1235 wrote.

The account appears primarily dedicated to posting screenshots of female-committed crimes, with the intention of proving that “cis women are extremely violent and dangerous.”

In 2014, prominent transgender actor Laverne Cox appeared in a now-deleted promotional video produced by a trans activist prison reform lobbying organization, the Sylvia Rivera Law Project (SRLP).

In the video, Cox stated his support for the SRLP and the organization’s Prisoner Advisory Committee (PAC). He then read a letter from Blast which appealed to viewers’ sympathies and described his situation while incarcerated as a “denial of basic human rights.”

Cox later distanced himself from Blast after learning more details about the crimes he was convicted for.

In 2019, one year after Blast was first paroled, he appeared in a video posted to the SRLP’s official Facebook page, and was described as a Political Action Committee member and intern.

A screen capture taken from a 2019 SRLP interview featuring Blast.

“I came from being in a jail cell to learning about SRLP and its mission, who Sylvia Rivera, as a person, actually was, and … about Marsha P. Johnson, and I was definitely hooked into this movement,” Blast said.

“We all have a voice. And we live in a time, today, where that voice is finally being heard. We haven’t reached that milestone yet. We are all screaming together, and now they are finally listening,” Blast says, then promoting the SRLP as a center which can help transgender people change their names and legal identity.

“Whenever I find a transgender person, I ask them: Do you know about the Sylvia Rivera Law Project?”

Reduxx previously revealed another trans-identifying male convict who was specifically selected by the SRLP to participate in trans advocacy and prison reform campaigning. Xena Grandichelli, born Jeffrey Willsea, is a convicted child sex offender who has performed community outreach services for the SRLP. In 1994, Grandichelli pleaded guilty to 11 counts of sexual abuse involving a 3 year-old girl.

Grandichelli partnered with the Sylvia Rivera Law Project (SRLP) and was designated as a Movement Building Team member. In a 2015 letter posted to the SRLP website, Grandichelli described how team members from the organization actively worked to recruit him while he was still incarcerated for sexually abusing a child.

Despite providing advocacy for convicted child abusers, the Sylvia Rivera Law Project receives the financial support of several notable institutions and figures, including the Stonewall Community Foundation and the trans-identifying medical and pharmaceutical millionaire Martine Rothblatt.

Blast is not the only trans-identified murderer who has been utilizing social media to threaten women critical of gender ideology.

In 2021, it was discovered that Swedish murderer Magdala Johansson had been targeting Twitter accounts who had posted details about his grisly crime.

Johansson, born Kristoffer, was convicted in 2013 of the brutal murder of his ex-girlfriend, 20-year-old Vatchareeya Bangsuan. Johansson stabbed Bangsuan to death before dismembering her and scattering her body parts in a nearby forested area. Some sources have also reported that Johansson masturbated over Bangsuan’s mutilated corpse, spreading his semen on her body parts.

Johansson was ultimately sentenced to 14 years, which was overturned on appeal to 10. He served just 6 years before being released in 2020.

Much like Blast, on Twitter and Instagram, Johansson called himself a “TERF Hunter,” and made misogynistic posts about women critical of gender ideology, sometimes while showing off his gun collection.

Trans-Identified Male Crowned “Miss Greater Derry 2023,” Takes Home Women’s Scholarship

A local beauty pageant is attracting ample mockery on social media after a trans-identified male was crowned the winner of the competition and awarded a scholarship intended for young women.

Brían Nguyen, 19, was awarded the crown in the Miss Greater Derry pageant, held on November 8 in the Greater Derry area of New Hampshire. The competition is a locally-run event under the national Miss America series of pageants.

In addition to winning the crown, Nguyen will receive the Miss Greater Derry Scholarship, a financial award established to support young women.

Nguyen, who is male, is a freshman at Nashua Community College majoring in Business Management. After his win, Nguyen wrote on Facebook:

I am ecstatic to be the FIRST transgender woman to be a Miss America local titleholder, and I hope to make everyone proud and become the first to walk the Miss America stage. I am Brían Nguyen, your Miss Greater Derry 2023.”

Nguyen had previously announced on Instagram that he has intentions to compete in Miss Universe.

After news of his win reached social media, along with group photos of the contestants, many were quick to point out that Nguyen appeared to have been held to a much lower standard when compared to the female competitors.

“Women: you must be thin, have good breasts, nice legs, a beautiful face, and a non-threatening personality. We might even give you a scholarship for complying. Unless you’re Brian. Then you can be any kind of woman you want,” feminist author Sophie Walker wrote on twitter.

“I am anti-beauty pageants, but if an overweight, unfit, ugly woman wouldn’t be allowed to win, why should this overweight, unfit, ugly, male in a frock? The double standards are out of the park,” @TwelveDaisies tweeted.

Even users on Twitter who expressed distaste for beauty pageants in general noted that, at the very least, the Miss Greater Derry competition provided young women with an opportunity for an academic boost in the form of a $7,500 scholarship.

According to the Miss Greater Derry website, the intention of the scholarship is to provide “young women between the ages of 17 and 24” an opportunity by “recognizing their outstanding achievements in scholastic aptitude, talent, character, community service and poise,” as outlined by the Miss New Hampshire and Miss America guidelines.

“A male won ‘Miss Greater Derry,’ a pageant held by @MissAmericaOrg. The winner also gets a scholarship. So a dude took a scholarship that was earmarked for a young woman,” one user tweeted.

News of Nguyen’s win was shared by popular Twitter account, LibsofTiktok. Their tweet, which included a photo of Nguyen and the other competitors, has wracked up over 36,000 likes and over 16,000 replies at the time of this article’s writing. The response was almost entirely negative, with many pointing out the double-standard that appeared to have been applied to crown Nguyen the winner.

As the news spread to Facebook, the reactions were similarly negative. Under his Facebook post announcing his win, Nguyen was slammed with similar criticism.

Nguyen’s win came just days after a San Francisco Court ruled that women’s beauty pageants were not legally obligated to let trans-identified males to compete.

The case had been brought to court after a trans activist, Anita Green, filed a lawsuit against Miss United States of America after they barred him from competing in 2019. In their decision, the judges in the case said that forcing pageants to include “transgender” contestants amounted to compelled speech as beauty pageants aim to “to express the ideal vision” of American womanhood.

“The First Amendment affords the Pageant the ability to voice this message, and to enforce its ‘natural-born female rule,” stated the court.

As previously reported by Reduxx, on October 24, a trans-identified male in Brazil was named “Woman of the Year,” taking home the title during the Generation Glamour ceremony in São Paulo.

Linn da Quebrada, a male social media influencer, took home the top award despite the fact he has stated he does not identify as a woman, and does not believe women ‘exist.’

In an interview with presenter Pedro Bial, a journalist from Globo Television Network, Quebrada stated “I’m not a woman, I’m a transvestite,” going on to say: “let’s be honest, there’s no such thing as ‘a woman.’”

Ontario School Board Rejects Possibility of Employee Dress Code Following Prosthetic Breast-Wearing Teacher Controversy

Top administrators at a controversial school board in Ontario have released an information report rejecting the possibility of implementing staff dress code. The report comes just weeks after widespread backlash over one of their transgender teachers donning large fake breasts in front of students.

On November 9, the Halton District School Board (HDSB) held a Board of Trustees meeting to address routine school operations. During the meeting, a special report was presented in which assessment was made of human rights and legal considerations for a dress code enforcement among HDSB staff.

The report was related to a September 21 school board motion requesting the Director of Education investigate whether it would be possible to implement a workplace dress code The motion had been proposed following international backlash over Kayla Lemieux, a teacher at Oakville Trafalgar High School.

Images and videos of Lemieux wearing what appeared to be a massive prosthetic bust, complete with protruding nipples, had gone viral on social media in September. Lemieux was seen donning the inappropriate gear while instructing classes.

According to students at Oakville Trafalgar, Lemieux had reportedly begun identifying as transgender in 2021. While Lemieux’s intentions have been the subject of debate, a YouTube video of a tech class uploaded by Lemieux demonstrated he had been presenting himself in this way since at least May — months prior to any widespread public knowledge.

Reduxx was first to confirm the origin and identity of the viral media, and the subsequent backlash resulted in Oakville Trafalgar becoming a hotspot for international media coverage and local protests as many noted Lemieux’s prosthetic breasts were inappropriate for a school setting.

Shortly after news of Lemieux’s appearance began to spread, the Halton District School Board issued a hasty email to the families of students at Oakville Trafalgar which appeared to defend Lemieux.

“We are aware of discussion on social media and in the media regarding Oakville Trafalgar High School. We would like to take this opportunity to reiterate to our community that we are committed to establishing and maintaining a safe, caring, inclusive, equitable and welcoming learning and working environment for all students and staff,” the email read, then deferring to the Ontario Human Rights Code.

“We strive to promote a positive learning environment in schools consistent with the values of the HDSB and to ensure a safe and inclusive environment for all students, staff and the community, regardless of race, age, ability, sex, gender identity, gender expression, sexual orientation, ethnicity, religion, cultural observance, socioeconomic circumstances or body type/size.”

Some noted that students at HDSB schools were subject to a dress code which explicitly forbade the display of genitals and nipples, and that it appeared Lemieux was being given special privileges due to his “gender expression.”

At the time, Canadian journalist Jon Kay noted that Lemieux’s attire was most commonly associated with a type of computer-generated animated pornography from Japan known as bakunyū, or, “exploding milk/breasts.”

Following sustained outrage, the Halton District School Board unanimously passed a motion on September 21 requesting a review into whether it would be possible to implement a workplace dress code.

On November 8, the information report associated with the review was completed and submitted to the Board of Trustees, and presented at the Board meeting the next day.

In the report, the HDSB Superintendent of Human Resources, Sari Taha, and Director of Education, Curtis Ennis, wrote that the implementation of an enforceable dress code with respect to employee professionalism would “expose the Board to considerable liability.”

Taha and Ennis provided an analysis of the labor law and human rights code considerations if the Board were to establish a staff dress code, placing special emphasis on gender identity.

” … it is important to recognize the impact that dress code policies can have on members of
the transgender community. Most notably, it is important for employers to make allowances to
ensure that these employees are able to express themselves in accordance with their lived gender.”

It continues: “Even if a dress code is implemented for non-discriminatory reasons, it would likely be found to be discriminatory where it adversely affects an employee or group of employees on the basis of their Code protected grounds.”

The report concludes by dismissing the possibility of a dress code as having any impact on the professionalism of staff, writing: “… we note that if the employer desires to foster a culture of professionalism, respect, equity and inclusion, a truly reasonable and non-discriminatory dress code or grooming standards would most likely fail to yield the intended results.”

During the November 9 School Board meeting, Taha, who had co-authored the report, firmly rejected the implementation of a dress code, citing an undue burden on “women and persons of the other identity community.”

Following Taha’s presentation of the report, HDSB Trustee Tanya Rocha clarified with Tara that implementing a dress code policy for staff would “fail” and be a step backwards.

“All other institutions are removing dress codes and there really is no need for one here… and if we even tried, it would not pass all of the litmus tests you mentioned,” Rocha said.

To another trustee, Taha stated: “Inherently, dress codes are adversely impacting women and other groups, disproportionately.”

The Halton District School Board has received ample criticism for their handling of the situation with Lemieux. Despite widespread outrage, Board members have explicitly refused to comment on the appropriateness of Lemieux’s attire, and have defended his right to wear the prosthetic breasts on multiple occasions.

The sole statement HDSB has made in relation to the Lemieux situation was on September 20, when the Board clarified that the name “Stephen Hanna” had been incorrectly circulated as being associated with the individual in the photos and videos.

HSDB also declined to confirm the identity of the individual as being Kayla Lemieux, but Reduxx had verified that name through Oakville Trafalgar’s own staff directory and associated G-suite profiles.

Since September, HDSB has refused repeated requests to provide Reduxx with Lemieux’s Ontario College of Teachers registration number, which is intended to be public information.

Lemieux is reportedly still wearing the prosthetic breasts on a day-to-day basis.

Antifa Targets Mother Following Appearance at ‘Let Women Speak’ Event

A women’s rights campaigner is being terrorized by Antifa after attending a freedom of speech event focused on sex-based rights.

Jeanna Hoch, a mother and founder of the CannaMamma Clinic, was first targeted after attending a Let Women Speak event in Tacoma, Washington. Let Women Speak is part of a US tour organized by popular British advocate Kellie-Jay Keen, and is centered around mirroring the Speaker’s Corner events Keen has held in the United Kingdom for years.

Hoch had first attended Keen’s event in San Fransisco on October 22. Three days later, she followed the tour to Portland, Oregon, where the scheduled event was canceled due to credible threats of violence. Despite the cancellation, Hoch and a number of other women continued on without Keen being present as a show of resistance.

During the unofficial demonstration in Portland, multiple women were pelted with whipped cream pies by trans activists as they peacefully spoke on sex-based rights.

The next day, Hoch attended the Let Women Speak event at Tollefson Plaza in Tacoma, Washington.

The gathering, which included a small group of women peacefully speaking on behalf of their sex-based rights, was quickly derailed by violent trans activists and Antifa. Multiple physical altercations were recorded at the Tacoma event, with some trans activists showing up wearing brass knuckles and attempting to grapple female speakers to the ground.

In a video of a particularly intense altercation that quickly began to circulate on social media, Hoch was seen using self-defense spray against a group of three adult male trans activists who had flanked her, one of which attempted to spit directly into her face.

Jeanna Hoch, in white and blue hat, holding a sign to separate herself from a trans activist.

Since the footage of Hoch defending herself at the rally went viral, she has become a target for Antifa groups who are attempting to spread her personal information in order to intimidate her.

A Colorado Springs-based Antifa group has been the most vocal against Hoch. The groups describes themselves as a “a collective of private citizens who are engaged in the fight against fascism, racism, sexism, xenophobia, homophobia, and transphobia. [And are] committed to the complete destruction of the white supremacist, capitalist patriarchy.”

Although purportedly “committed to fighting against sexism,” the group has been putting Hoch and her family in danger for her participation in women-led events.

On October 29, three days after the Tacoma demonstration, Colorado Springs Antifa published a blog post about Hoch on their official website.

Her home address is offered at the top of the post, as well as a link to a flyer with her photo, full name, age, and address. The flyer also features a QR code and a link to the blog post itself, which paints Hoch and the other women who attended the Tacoma event out to be far-right fascists. On November 6, Antifa members distributed physical copies of the flyer in Hoch’s neighborhood and showed up at her home.

Antifa members also took pictures of one of her vehicles and posted her license plate online. One of her vehicles was also vandalized during the visit, with one Antifa member gluing a death threat to the driver’s side front windshield of her car.

Speaking to Reduxx, Hoch says she travelled to go to the pro-woman events because she was inspired by Kellie-Jay Keen.

“I chose to join the tour because I’d wanted to do a Speaker’s Corner event inspired by Keen and the UK in Colorado for a long time, but hadn’t for a number of reasons — most of all, safety,” Hoch explains, noting that she had first met Keen in New York City, and then again during a protest in Atlanta against Lia Thomas competing in women’s sports. “I’ve followed [Keen] since about 2017 or so. She is every bit as dedicated, intelligent, witty, and admirable as she comes off online.”

Hoch says it was actually after her appearance at the Portland event on October 25 that Antifa groups first began attempting to dox her, but the Colorado Springs faction became involved after Tacoma.

“After Tacoma, every social media account I manage – especially Facebook and Instagram – became overrun with hateful comments and threats for a solid week. They also used my website’s contact forms to send me hate mail. I received a couple prank calls. The fliers happened about 10 days after the event.”

Hoch has three children, and she told Reduxx she was concerned for their well-being. She has two kids aged two and eight who she believes she can protect, but her oldest, a high school senior, can’t miss school.

“He’s been instructed to stay on high alert, carry a [self-defense item], and be willing to defend himself. Yes, I believe we are in danger, and at the very least, they want us to believe we are in danger.”

Colorado Springs Antifa has also been spreading information about Hoch’s life in an attempt to discredit her within the feminist movement, including that she has experience in the sex trade and supports the use of medicinal cannabis. But Hoch is unbothered, and instead points to the group’s hypocrisy.

“I gave Meghan Murphy an interview about my involvement in sex work … Antifa is the biggest group of organized and hypocritical incels in existence. They claim to hate SWERF, and didn’t know how to act when their equally-hated TERF is also a sex worker,” Hoch says. “It wouldn’t be the first time how I made money has been used against me, to attack me. Radical feminists do it too. I’m used to it.”

SWERF is an acronym for “Sex Worker Exclusionary Radical Feminist,” and TERF is the acronym for “Trans Exclusionary Radical Feminist.” Both terms are colloquially used as slurs against women who express views of either “sex work,” trans ideology, or both.

Though its clear Antifa is attempting to force her into silence through intimidation tactics, Hoch says she isn’t particularly worried about financial or social losses due to the campaign, as she has been open about her politics with her family and friends.

“Women have always been abused and silenced when we try and speak up for ourselves and our children. These Antifa agents aren’t doing anything new or special. They aren’t fighting back against an oppressive system. They are oppressors.”

Hoch invokes Grey Panthers founder and Women’s Hall of Fame inductee Maggie Kuhn in advice she has for other women, quoting her iconic line: Speak, even if your voice shakes.

“None of the threats, the actual danger or fear in my head, matter more than words of thanks and encouragement I have received from the people my work was meant to help.”

ARGENTINA: Woman’s Murder No Longer Being Reported As A ‘Femicide’ Following Revelation Attackers Were Transgender

The brutal murder of a prostituted woman in Argentina is no longer being reported as a “femicide” after it was discovered that her killers did not identify as male.

Brenda Córdoba, 28, was murdered on November 10 of 2021 in the Buenos Aires neighborhood of Balvanera. Grisly surveillance camera footage released by police during the investigation into her death showed Córdoba being approached by what appeared to be a man in a white hoodie and face mask. The man circled around to her back before grabbing her in a headlock and stabbing her multiple times in the chest.

Images from the security camera footage depicting Córdoba’s murder.

Córdoba, who was dropped into a puddle of her own blood, was initially found alive by passersby who had attempted to intervene in the stabbing and rushed to hospital. She died as a result of her injuries days later.

Additional security camera footage was uncovered in which the individual who attacked Córdoba was seen leaving the area with someone else.

Police began disseminating images taken from the footage in October of this year along with a call for assistance from the public to identify the two suspects after difficulty in finding leads.

The suspects leaving the crime scene, as caught on urban security camera footage.

On November 2, two individuals were taken into custody after neighbors saw the call for leads and photos from the crime scene and alerted police. But while law enforcement officials had initially put out a call for two men, both suspects involved in Córdoba’s murder were found to be transgender.

Alex Maia Sam Estela, a trans-identified male, is believed to have been the one who stabbed Córdoba, while his accomplice, Christian Santiago Machado Abad, another trans-identified male, is currently considered an accomplice. Some local media reports refer to Abad as a “transvestite,” differentiating him from Estela, who is consistently identified as a “trans woman.”

The motive for Córdoba’s murder is believed to have been a territorial dispute, in which she was targeted for “working” on a street corner that had been claimed by Abad and Estela. She is known to have had a hostile interaction with Abad prior to her murder.

While Córdoba’s slaying has been reported as being considered a femicide under Argentinian law for the past year, the revelation of the gender identity of her alleged killers has resulted in that classification being dropped.

Censorship applied by the Buenos Aires city police.

According to Infobae, the case file was initially treated as a femicide due to the fact the attacker was wearing male clothing and so was believed to be a man. But since the identities of the two suspects have been revealed, media is no longer referring to the slaying as a femicide.

Femicide in Argentina is considered a crisis, with one woman being murdered by a man every 25 hours on average.

In 2012, Argentinian lawmakers amended the criminal code to recognize femicide as an aggravated form of homicide. The femicide provision was defined broadly as “a crime against a woman when the act is perpetrated by a man and gender violence is mediated.”

Trans-identified males can be included as victims of femicide in Argentina, but also have a separate provision for “transfemicide.”

Earlier this year, a prominent trans-identified male activist was murdered by his boyfriend in the country’s Santa Fe province. Alejandra Ironici, 45, was the first person in Argentina to legally change his gender identity. Ironici’s 32-year-old partner, has been charged aggravated femicide as well as transfemicide.

Córdoba’s case bears striking resemblance to one recently reported out of Spain.

In October, Reduxx revealed that a man who abused his female partner had avoided charges of gender-based violence after it was learned he had begun to identify as a woman.

Gender-based violence is a specific charge which exists in Spain to classify male violence against women. It was introduced after feminist activists in the nation pointed out the need for a law to address the pervasive issue of sex-based violence perpetrated by men against women. In addition to being a unique classification, the charge comes with tailored protections for female victims, such as the ability to have the abuser removed from the home.

In the case Reduxx reported, the male abuser’s gender identity being changed meant he could no longer be charged with gender-based violence as he was not considered a “man” under law. Instead, he was charged with domestic violence, which dropped the sex-based distinction and did not provide any specific protections for his victim.

Prominent Norwegian Gender Clinician Facing Investigation by Health Authorities

A gender clinician previously investigated twice by national medical authorities is yet again under scrutiny and is facing the possibility of losing his license to practice.

Dr. Esben Esther Pirelli Benestad, 73, who identifies as a “trans woman,” has recently been notified by the Norwegian Health Authority (NHA) that they are considering withdrawing his authorization to practice as a doctor, reportedly in response to complaints from other doctors over his tendency to bypass recommended medical protocols.

Benestad, a sexologist, trans activist, and Professor Emeritus at the University of Agder, is considered Norway’s most prominent transgender person. Previously known as Esben Benestad, he announced his decision to declare a female identity on a television program called En Anselse Rødt in 1994, and the official addition of the feminine alias “Esther Pirelli” was approved by local authorities in 2000.

Norway’s TV 2 recently noted that Benestad had a history of failing to refer patients to the National Treatment Service for Gender Incongruence (NBTK) at Oslo University’s Rikshospitalet, preferring instead to administer or recommend cross-sex hormones, surgeries, and puberty-blocking drugs to patients out of his private clinic without proper oversight – and in some cases, in violation of established medical guidelines.

Benestad in 2020 [L] and 2021 [R]

Benestad was first investigated in 2004 by the NHA for providing puberty-blocking drugs to young boys under the age of 14 in violation of Norwegian law. In September 2003, Chief Medical Officer at Rikshospitalet, Arnt Jakobsen, wrote a letter to the medical authorities describing Benestad’s practices as questionable, and referred to a boy between the ages of 14 – 15 who had been given “female sex hormones.”

At the time, Benestad denied providing hormones to teens, but admitted to “delaying puberty” in children. During an interview conducted in November 2009, Benestad recalled being reported to health authorities after prescribing puberty-blocking drugs to a nine year-old boy on an experimental basis.

In 2008, Benestad was again reported to national health authorities for misconduct related to three female patients he had referred for radical mastectomies. Benestad had fabricated diagnoses of health conditions in order to bypass medical guidelines and secure the female patients the procedures. Their ages are not known.

During the course of the second investigation, Benestad boasted about evading medical policies and laughed that he could not be sent to prison, as law enforcement “would have trouble finding out what jail” to place him in.

“I have a warning hanging over my head. If I do this again, they’ll take my license away,” Benestad said, and added that he could still prescribe hormones, despite attempts to prevent him from doing so.

This May, it was revealed that a young patient being given cross-sex hormones by Benestad had committed suicide.

The parents of the minor, who chose to remain anonymous, gave permission to the media to publish on their experience. Speaking with Blikk Magazine, they explained that the youth was placed on drugs to halt puberty by National Treatment Service for Gender Incongruence (NBTK) at Rikshospitalet.

While on puberty blockers, the teen was also privately being administered hormones by Benestad, thereby undermining the NBTK’s policy banning cross-sex hormones for minors under the age of 16. Shortly after, the youth’s treatment was again overtaken by NBTK. Approximately four months later, the unnamed minor committed suicide.

The parents told Blikk that they did not oppose the transitioning of minors, and were instead concerned that their child’s death would lead to measures preventing other ‘trans teens’ from accessing ‘gender affirming’ medical procedures.

Regarding the most recent complaint into Benestad, Anne Myhr, a director at the Norwegian Health Authority, told TV 2 that she could not comment on the specifics of the investigation as it is currently pending. According to Myhr, Benestad was allotted the usual three-week deadline to provide a statement to the NHA, and medical authorities will decide whether or not to proceed with a formal investigation after Benestad’s response has been considered.

Benestad’s academic career spans two decades, with his primary focus being on paraphilias. Benestad has advocated for normalizing sexual fetishes and is largely credited with introducing the concept of “gender euphoria” as an alternative to “gender dysphoria.” Benestad is also a member of the World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH) and has spoken at conferences hosted by the organization.

Benestad has advocated a theory of seven gender identities, one of which he calls the “Eunuch Gender.”

He was a speaker at a 2009 WPATH conference in Oslo where academics involved in a pedophilic and sadomasochistic fetish forum presented a concept of a eunuch gender identity which appears to have influenced Benestad’s own interest in the subject.

“There is an organized group called ‘Eunuch Genders,’ which are somatic males that want to remove their testicles because they they feel that those testicles aren’t them. Of course they are entitled to do that. I believe in self-determined gender,” Benestad said just months after the 2009 Oslo conference.

Christina Ellingsen, a Norwegian women’s rights campaigner, spoke to Reduxx on the investigation into Benestad’s license. She expressed hope that medical authorities would finally hold Benestad accountable for intentionally disregarding medical safeguarding policies.

“The entire field of trans health is seemingly pioneered by egomaniacs who will stop at nothing to legitimize their fetishes. Benestad is one example on a local level. But when WPATH allows men with castration fetishes to influence the standards of care used globally, Benestad is not the only bad apple. The whole industry is rotten and needs to be shut down,” Ellingsen says. “Norway has let Benestad off the hook several times in his career, but hopefully he will be held accountable this time.”

Ellingsen is the lead representative for Women’s Declaration International’s Norway chapter. Earlier this year, she revealed she was under investigation by law enforcement for a series of tweets asserting that men cannot be lesbians or mothers. If charged and convicted, Ellingsen faces up to three years in prison under Norway’s increasingly pro-gender ideology “hate crime” legislation.

“I hope the authorities are able to recognize the irreparable damage [Benestad] is enabling. Studies are beginning to reveal the high proportion of detransitioners who experience same-sex attraction. He is essentially authorized to conduct sterilizing medical experimentation on a vulnerable group, the majority of which being underage bisexual and lesbian women,” Ellingsen says. “These patients have a right to be protected against harm, and this right is currently being ignored, for seemingly no other reason than to accommodate a man who has very clearly turned his fetish into a career.”

In 2021, Benestad came under fire for requiring sexology students to attend a BDSM fetish club.

The club mandated a specific dress code of fetish gear, which one female student objected to and publicly criticized. Just months prior, Benestad presented a TED talk in Arendal wherein he compared being a fetishistic cross-dresser to being a member of a marginalized Indigenous community.

That same year, Benestad was awarded a gold medal for contributions to sexology and sexual health from the World Association for Sexual Health (WAS), where Benestad serves as Chair of the Transgender and Diversity Committee.

Reduxx reached out to health administrators at Oslo University’s Rikshospitalet for comment on the investigation into Benestad’s license, but did not receive a response in time for publication.
