“Lesbian” Dating App Frames “Trans Exclusion” A “Hurdle,” Attempts to Cater to Male Users

A lesbian dating app is under fire after it appeared to frame female homosexuality as a “hurdle” that needed to be “overcome” by trans-identified males.

On March 31, lesbian activist and TikToker Shay Woulahan posted screenshots originally circulated by HER, a dating app intended to cater to the lesbian community. The app offers searchable profiles in a similar fashion to Tinder and Bumble.

“@HERSocialApp is celebrating Trans Day of Visibility by framing lesbians sexual boundaries as “hurdles” that need to be overcome,” Shay wrote on her Twitter, posting a screenshot showing the results of a survey conducted by HER which apparently had sought user feedback on “trans-specific hurdles” experienced on dating apps.

Of the options, “trans-exlusionary preferences” took the lead with 35.2% of responses.

She later posted a second screenshot showing HER announcing it was taking steps to accommodate transgender users, with two new features in particular targeting “transphobia” on the app. One was called “Improved TERF control” which promised “severe penalties for transphobic language and behavior on the app.”

Shay’s posts quickly gained traction amongst women on Twitter, most expressing outrage at the apparent policing of lesbian women’s sexuality. Within a few hours, the app’s official social media mockingly responded.

But HER’s attempt at writing off Shay’s concerns weren’t received well, with many social media users piling under their tweet to make their voices heard.

As of the publication of this article, HER’s post has just 38 likes, but over 207 primarily furious replies. HER rapidly began blocking users criticizing their handling of the situation, and shortly after posted other tweets on their page condemning those disappointed with their responses as “TERFs.”

Speaking to Reduxx, Shay Woulahan said she was “disgusted” at how HER had framed female homosexuality as a “hurdle” to overcome, or “trans-exclusionary” preference.

Shay expressed concern that the “penalties” promised by HER for “transphobic behavior” would disproportionately impact lesbians who simply didn’t want to date trans-identified males. She pointed to her own experience being written off by the app’s official Twitter as an example.

“My tweet made no mention of trans people but instead stated that lesbians are allowed to have their sexual boundaries … if this what a ‘TERF’ is in their eyes, I am worried about how lesbians exerting their boundaries on the app will be treated.”

TERF is an acronym standing for ‘Trans Exclusionary Radical Feminist,’ but in recent years it has shifted to encompass almost any feminist who takes issue with the impact of gender ideology on women’s rights, as well as lesbians who establish sexual boundaries.

“The word … to me is a lesbophobic slur,” Shay explained, “I’ve been called it by trans-identified males for stating I am not interested in dating men.”

While Shay hasn’t used the app since entering a relationship, she says she’s seen similar behavior from HER in the past.

“I’m aware that some of the application’s moderators are trans-identified males, and I had noticed on social media [HER] had moved away from using the word lesbian and now uses the word ‘queer,’ which is most likely because of the exclusionary nature of lesbianism.”

The Thursday survey wasn’t the first time HER has come under fire for isolating lesbians in favor of males who identify as women.

In 2021, Australian Twitter user @shehersona tweeted out screenshots of four profiles she had found on HER in order to draw attention to the amount of males utilizing the app. But shortly afterward, her followers began to notify her that one of the profiles belonged to a violent criminal and pedophile.

Brandy Lee Gwyer, a biological male, had previously been arrested as recently as October of 2019 after going on a knife rampage on Hindley Street in Adelaide, Australia. Gwyer was tased and dropped by police after terrorizing patrons at the businesses along the street, ranting threats at them while wielding a large knife.

Gwyer was known for going on unhinged social media rants, including lashing out at Sky News Australia for “misgendering” him, suggesting all people of color were “homophobic,” using racial slurs, and claiming the 2019 knife-wielding incident was self-defense against transphobia

More disturbingly, Gwyer had promoted child sexual abuse on his Facebook, where he wrote an extended post condemning the belief that pedophiles were rapists, while stating he didn’t “get off on penetrating kids,” and explicitly describing other ways he preferred to molest them instead.

UN Women Sponsored Event By Charity Promoting Medical Transition of Children

The UK branch of United Nations Women has sponsored an art exhibition that will see a percentage of proceeds donated to Mermaids, an organization that promotes the medical transitioning of children.

Mermaids CEO Susie Green explained in a 2017 TED talk how she took her 16 year-old son to Thailand to have him surgically castrated because he enjoyed playing with toys designed for girls. Green, who has said she initially thought her son was gay, had given her son puberty blockers as a child and has joked about the size of his genitalia, which did not develop properly as a result.

Green has worked with and recommended Gender GP founder Helen Webberley, who has been investigated by the UK’s General Medical Council (GMC) for running an illegal gender identity clinic with her husband which provided hormones to children as young as 12 years old.

One child that was illegally provided with cross-sex hormones by Webberley, Jayden Lowe, went on to commit suicide, prompting outcry from her parents. Jayden’s mother had no idea the clinic supplying these drugs was unregulated and she demanded a second inquest after learning the truth. The girl’s mother told Cambridgeshire Live, “I was really upset to realise they were knowingly practicing and they weren’t registered properly.”

In order to bypass regulations, the Webberleys moved their business first to Spain, after which it was acquired by a mysterious company in Hong Kong. Relocating their operation allowed the Webberleys to continue selling hormones illegally.

In a statement made during a September 2021 tribunal over giving harmful wrong-sex hormones to children, Webberley revealed that her criteria for her competence to supply the drugs came from a self-assessment and encouragement from Mermaids CEO Susie Green.

Mermaids has also received criticism for teaching gender ideology in schools, and in particular for presenting a gender identity chart featuring a Barbie doll and a GI Joe. After campaigning conducted in part by the Safe Schools Alliance and Transgender Trend, public scrutiny caused the charity to backtrack on telling children that they could be “born in the wrong body,” strongly implying in a social media post that they had never done so.

The charity has been widely criticized for touting spurious suicide statistics and for popularizing the line, ‘better a trans son than a dead daughter.’

Mermaids had received funding from the Department of Education and reported an income of over £1.8 million during the fiscal year 2020 – 2021. Mermaids also received a £500,000 grant from the National Lottery in 2019, and once partnered with Starbucks, the coffee company, selling special “mermaid” cookies with proceeds going to the organization.

This is not the first time UN Women has openly supported gender identity ideology. On International Women’s Day in 2020, their official twitter account endorsed a statement made by a man who claims a female identity, referring to women as “formless.” The man being celebrated by UN Women, model Aaron Philip, bragged about being platformed by the United Nations and referred to women who protested as “TERFs.”

In 2021 pharmaceutical giant Bayer announced their partnership with UN Women through an initiative called the UnStereotype Alliance. Bayer manufactures hormones marketed towards, among others, those who identify as the opposite sex: oestrogen Progynova, and injectable testosterone, Nebido.

UK: Newly-Out Trans Politician Co-Owned a “Sugar Daddy” Website

A Conservative politician being praised as the United Kingdom’s first “out” transgender Member of Parliament once co-owned a Sugar Daddy website which solicited financially vulnerable young women for sexual relationships with older men.

Jamie Wallis, Member of Parliament for Bridgend, issued a statement on his Twitter on March 29 declaring his transgender identity. In the statement, Wallis says: “I’m trans. Or, to be more accurate, I want to be.”

Wallis, who was elected in 2019, noted that he had no intention of coming out as transgender while a sitting Member of Parliament. But after experiencing a blackmail attempt in 2020, as well as a recent sexual trauma, he felt compelled to finally “live his truth.”

Wallis’ statement was shared by British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, who lauded the politician for his “bravery” and assured Wallis would be provided ample support from the Conservative Party.

Wallis’ statement was also praised by the Women’s Equality Party, a political body which has previously dismissed members for speaking out on the harms of the medical transition of children.

But on Twitter, many feminists were unimpressed with the cloyingly sweet display from Johnson and the WEP in support of Wallis, specifically because it all appeared to neglect Wallis’ shady history.

In 2020, Wallis was exposed as having co-owned a site called Sugar-Daddies.net, which solicited financially vulnerable people to advertise themselves for sexual connections with “sugar daddies.” While the site claimed it was not sex-specific and welcomed “boys [and] girls,” the market is typically understood as wealthy older men willing to “sponsor” much younger women in exchange for sexual favors.

Wallis’ involvement with the site was exposed by a Buzzfeed investigation, which noted that he had initially denied any involvement with the venture.

“The site appears to have been owned and operated by a company named SD Billing Services Limited. For the avoidance of any doubt, I have never had a financial interest, nor been a director of SD Billing services Limited and cannot comment on its operational activities,” Wallis had told Buzzfeed reporters.

But an annual return filed by SD Billing Services in 2008 demonstrated that 100% of its shares were owned by a company called Fields Group Limited, of which Wallis was a director and shareholder. As a result, Wallis was, in fact, the legal co-owner of Sugar-Daddies.net.

After Wallis’ stake in the site was revealed, Labour politician Jess Phillips called on the Conservatives to expel him from the party.

“Let’s be clear: sugar daddy is a euphemism for something deeply ugly: exploitation of women by powerful men,” Phillips’ campaign said. “The Tories should feel ashamed sitting alongside Jamie Wallis. The only way to show they don’t condone this kind of behaviour is to remove the whip.”

At the time, Labour Member of Parliament Tonia Antoniazzi also backed Phillips’ call to expel Wallis, saying she was “really concerned” about him, and adding that his track record was “dubious.”

Even before the Sugar-Daddies.net scandal, Wallis’ past business ventures had been heavily scrutinized. Several of the companies Wallis owned or had financial interest in proper to being elected to Parliament had been subjected to “hundreds” of trading standards complaints by consumers.

One of Wallis’ companies was an outsourcing agency which fielded jobs to Thailand where staff were paid the equivalent of $3.27 USD per hour. In some of the agency’s listings, “females only” were requested.

In complement to the statement released last night, Wallis issued a second one today clarifying that he would continue to use ‘he/him/his’ pronouns.

Trans-Identified Male Who Took Female Seat in German Political Quota to Speak on “Women in Politics”

Germany’s Green Party has chosen a trans-identified male member of parliament, Tessa Ganserer, to speak at an event highlighting women in politics. Ganserer, whose real name is Markus, was elected to Germany’s Bundestag in September 2021, taking a seat that was reserved for female political representation.

The event, titled Women*. Power. Politics, uses an asterisk throughout its description to indicate “all women are welcome,” by which they are clearly referring to Ganserer, who is a man.

“Time for new perspectives, time for more women* in politics and business,” reads the event’s tagline.

Leading up to Ganserer’s election, feminist campaigners protested a policy put in place by the Green Party allowing men to self-identify into political roles designated for women under a quota system.

On July 31, 2021, Women’s Declaration International’s branch in Germany issued a public statement condemning the move, pointing out that a total of three men had taken women’s places: Ganserer, as well as Nyke Slawik and Victoria Brossart.

“The German Green Party and the Social Democratic Party are both discriminating against women in politics on the basis of sex,” read the statement.

“Three men claiming a female ‘gender identity’ who are running as candidates for the general election are listed by the Green Party as women. The Party thus prevents three women, defined as adult human females, from running for the Bundestag for the benefit of three men (adult human males).”

Speaking with Reduxx, a representative of WDI Germany commented, “It is striking that Ganserer seeks out specifically women’s and LGB events, but he is male and heterosexual.”

As reported by feminist magazine EMMA, the women-led organization Sex Counts was recently formed in response to the conflict between women’s rights and sex self-identification policies.

“With the Ganserer case, the Greens simply de facto introduced the Self-Determination Act, which was rejected in the Bundestag in the summer of 2021,” representative Hilde Schwathe told EMMA, continuing:“It’s not about Ganserer’s personal case, but about redefining the term ‘sex’.”

According to Sex Counts, a self-declaration of gender identity is not legal under German law. However, the Greens bypassed the law in order to allow a man within their party to be listed as a “woman,” and therefore to fill a seat under a quota designed to ensure female representation.

“The Greens’ strategy is to introduce a de facto gender self-ID ruling which is not based on law. Gender self-identification is the core element of a ‘Self-ID Act’ which was turned down by the German parliament in May 2021. The May 2021 draft law had been introduced to parliament by the Green Party and the Free Democratic Party (FDP).”

Recently, the number of female representatives in the Bundestag has been on the decline, and currently just over a third of parliament officials are women.

Tessa Ganserer was first elected to the Bavarian state parliament in 2013 under his legal name Markus Ganserer for the Greens. Despite this, his Wikipedia page has been edited to display only the name Tessa, with no mention of his prior political career as Markus.

In addition, Ganserer has been campaigning to introduce sex self-identification policies in Germany, and has claimed that “a penis is not a male sexual organ” and “there are women who have penises.”
A 2019 article published by Welt states, “Markus Ganserer ceased to exist on December 12, 2018. Then Tessa Ganserer gave Markus’ clothes to a friend.”

The article also describes Ganserer in a sexist and objectifying manner typically reserved for women in politics: “Her nails are mud gray and manicured to perfection. She wears two ornamental rings on her right hand. Her hands are slender and thin. She looks amazing.”

In a press conference that year, Ganserer explained how he decided to begin identifying as a woman after years of stealing his wife’s clothing.

“At first I was totally surprised at myself. But I immediately felt that there was more, it wasn’t a fetish, I felt like a woman,” said Ganserer.

In 2021, Ganserer was behind an initiative in Nuremberg that introduced “queer bathing days,” when public swimming pools were reserved for trans-identifying and intersex individuals only, and excluded women who did not identify as transgender.

Domestic Abuse Survivor TikToker Murdered In Front of Child

A young mother who made TikToks on surviving domestic violence and sexual assault was tragically murdered last week, allegedly by an ex-boyfriend she had a restraining order against.

Mackenzie Anderson, 21, was found outside of her home in Newcastle, New South Wales, Australia by police while responding to her call reporting a break-in. The young woman was suffering from multiple stab wounds but was still alive. Emergency first responders and a specialist critical care team attempted to stabilize her, but she died at the scene.

At a Saturday press conference, Newcastle City Detective Superintendent Wayne Humphrey said once officers arrived, Mackenzie was already in critical condition.

“Officers attached to Newcastle City Police District were called to a home unit, responding to reports a man had broken into the unit,” Humphrey said, “I’ve just spent the last 20 minutes or so viewing the officers’ body worn footage and it is horrendous.”

Close to Anderson’s body was her toddler, who was “covered in blood.” The child was physically unharmed, and is now in the care of relatives.

Tyrone Thompson, 22, is in police custody but no formal charges have yet been laid. Thompson and Anderson had previously been in a relationship, but at the time of the murder she had an Apprehended Violence Order in place against him. Thompson was arrested at the scene of the crime, but is currently being treated in hospital for injuries sustained during the murder. Police are expected to press charges against him in coming days.

Police confirmed that Thompson had just been released from prison and was on parole. The child found with Anderson is not related to him.

Anderson had a moderate following on social media platform TikTok, where she went by the username @callmemax62. Just days ago, she had posted videos related to surviving domestic violence.

The text in one video reads: “What I wish I had told myself more during the abuse,” and Anderson is seen lip-syncing to Sleeping At Last’s song “You’re Enough.”

In another video from that day, Anderson dedicates words to “the girl I was before the abuse,” and lip-syncs “I am going to miss you more than I thought I would.”

In a March 2021 video, Anderson notes that her ex-boyfriend had once kidnapped her.

Anderson had made several TikToks about living with depression, suicidal ideations, and experiencing sexual assault. But despite the somber and vulnerable moments, her videos primarily represent her as a committed mother and passionate young woman who was trying to live life to its fullest.

Anderson is the 14th woman lost to sex-based violence in Australia in 2022. Last year, 46 women were murdered in Australia — almost all of which were by male partners.

OPINION: Women Can’t Have Sh*t

International Women’s Day is rapidly approaching, and you know what that means: The trans industrial complex is going to have a conniption trying to ensure it is all about them.

This shouldn’t come as a surprise. We do this every year. It is almost a scheduled song and dance now. The moment anything intended or exclusively for women comes into public circulation, it is snatched and dissected until it is sufficiently inclusive so as to satisfy our scrotum-owning sisters.

One would almost wonder if, despite their claims otherwise, they considered themselves women at all, with how hard they work to utterly decimate anything intended for women and open it up into a veritable free-for-all. Don’t think about it too much.

No need to wait until March 8, the testosterone-induced rage has already begun with the ringing in of Women’s History Month, which is celebrated from March 1 to March 31.

To honor the month, HealthLine released an article calling for the celebration of the Transgender Day of Visibility, which is apparently celebrated on March 31… for some reason. The article announces it will be celebrating the “gift” of trans lives with various trans-centric features throughout the month.
Note that Trans Awareness Month is in November, as are as most transgender issue-related celebration days including Transgender Parent Day and Trans Awareness Week.

Pronouns Day and Genderfluid Visibility Week are celebrated in October. Non-Binary People’s Day is in July. There are a peppering of other “days” and “weeks” referring directly or indirectly to transgender people throughout the year in different months… But a single day, the Transgender Day of Visibility, has randomly been plopped right at the end of Women’s History Month.

Like a bunion.

But HealthLine is hardly the only example of celebratory trans-washing I’ve witnessed so far.

The Wicklow Libraries in Ireland is hosting a Women’s History Month speaking event, and who have they invited to talk on womanly things? Well, a man, of course!

Sara Phillips, a biological man who identifies as a woman, will be the keynote speaker a this International Women’s Day-themed event where he will be discussing a “variety of topics, in particular those that affect transgender women in terms of inclusion.” It is perhaps worth noting that Phillips is a member of the Transgender Equality Network Ireland, which seems to have terrible trouble revealing how they are using the massive bags of government gold they are being provided.

Another mega-organization is similarly spending Women’s History Month focusing on all the most important elements of womanhood — Kink and pronouns!

The LGBT Foundation in the U.K. has an income of just over £3 million per year, and is spending the genderfluid bills hosting a week called “Sugar and Spice” wherein “LGBT+ women” will be invited to “celebrate their amazing selves” by learning about kink with Aben (he/they) or about trans feminism with Emily (she/they) and Eden (she/xe). Naturally, “LGBT+ women” includes “trans women and non-binary/genderfluid peoples wishing to access a woman-centered space.”

And who could forget the University of Cork’s Lesbian Lives Conference 2022, which just wrapped up its Women’s History Month-based seminars today, in which a biological male was invited to give a keynote speech on lesbianism.

Shift into the mid-month, and the Canadian Union of Public Employees will be sponsoring a trans-led panel on that very important Women’s History Month subject of “combatting anti-trans hate.” One of the speakers will be Niko Straits, a trans-identified male who is probably best known for repeatedly defending pedophile Johnathan “Jessica” Yaniv during his racist tirade against salons owned by (primarily Muslim and Sikh) women of color.

Hop back over to Europe, and the Hogeschool Inholland University in Alkmaar, Netherlands is hosting a pornographic drag queen for their International Women’s Day celebrations.

I could go on, but I won’t. I don’t need to.

The point: Women can’t have shit.

And even when women have tried to carve out celebrations specifically for them — female human beings — or even simply assert their right to have such exclusive moments, they have been met with brutality.
Just last year in France, “trans exclusionary” feminists protesting sexual exploitation on International Women’s Day were met with violence. The 15 or so feminists who turned up at a monument park with simple placards denouncing the sex trade and pornography were shoved, egged, and sprayed in the eyes with red paint.

Their signs were defaced, and death threats aimed towards them and any other woman who happens to not be “inclusive” enough were striped on the public statue they had been protesting by.

The sad part is, this isn’t even surprising.

We have long past breached the point of mass psychosis on the trans issue, with dead-eyed goons combing through and honing-in on even the mildest comments to determine whether the mere mention of female was made with an exclusionary intention. Remember what happened with Adele? Simply declaring she was proud to be a female artist was enough to have the gender zombies seizing into intellectual rigor mortis.

Likewise, prisons, rape crisis shelters, and athletics have become ground zero for the apparent obligation women have to make sure males feel comfortable and validated at all times. Regardless of the danger or disadvantage women and girls must suffer the consequence of, daring to mention females might have unique needs or experiences males cannot ever replicate is akin to sacrilege.

And, of course, how long have we been wrangling with the multi-headed emergence of “inclusive language” when referring to female anatomy? Chest feeders, menstruators, uterus havers, birthing bodies, vulva owners — the list of terminological diarrhea is endless.

This is not simply erasure. This is a full blown invasion.

What is needed now is not simply frustration, annoyance, or eye-rolling — but something akin to a total de-colonization. We are operating in occupied territory that needs to be ruthlessly and unapologetically re-claimed. No one is coming to do it for us and time is of the essence.

Happy Women’s History Month.

Sex Offender Paved Way for Male Transfers to Women’s Prisons in UK

The case which paved the way for in-tact trans-identified males to be transferred to women’s prisons in the UK was launched by a convicted sex offender and murderer.

In 2001, a man named Mark Jones (a.k.a: Karen Jones/Lawson) was jailed after the body of his sexual partner was found in their Manchester home. Jones had allegedly murdered the man after he refused to pay for Jones’ nail polish and transgender surgeries, but, due to the advanced stage of decomposition in the body, he was only able to be convicted of manslaughter. The decomposition hindered the ability for coroners to ascertain a proper cause of death, and thus throttled the prosecution.

Jones was sentenced to 5 years, but was released just one year later on license in 2002. Less than a week after getting out of prison, Jones sexually assaulted a female clerk at a store which sold clothing for transsexual men, gagging the woman’s mouth with a lemon and trying to rape her. He was allegedly unable to penetrate the woman only because he was incapable of maintaining an erection. Jones was re-apprehended and sentenced to life in prison.

At the time, Jones claimed the attempted rape was a “cry for help” so he could go back to prison and receive a sex change on the public dime. While imprisoned, Jones received free laser hair removal, hormone replacement therapy, and a gender recognition certificate.

Jones ultimately demanded transfer to a women’s prison, but his male genitals made the move impossible at the time. Likewise, he was denied a vagina construction because he was housed in the male estate. The rules resulted in Jones launching a judicial review in 2009, and consideration of the double-bind situation would become the legal premise for the decisive ruling which would later enable fully “intact” men to seek transfer to women’s prisons.

In a January 10 post, women’s activist and Executive Director of Sex Matters Maya Forstater renewed interest in Jones’ case, posting a screenshot which described some of the details of the landmark 2009 decision.

The screenshot came from a paper written by Michael Biggs, a professor at the University of Oxford. Titled “The Transition from Sex to Gender in English Prisons: Human Rights and Queer Theory,” the 2020 paper asks whether men should be housed in women’s prisons, and utilizes Jones’ case history as an example of how the needs of female inmates were discounted in the process of establishing gender-based policies.

“The argument that Jones would be hard to manage in a women’s prison was dismissed on the grounds that Jones would pose still greater difficulties if thwarted, due to what the consultant forensic psychologist described as ‘narcissistic, compulsive, aggressive, violent and sadistic elements’ in his personality.” Biggs writes on page 6 of the paper, going on to state that: “The rights of the women who would have to share facilities with such a person were ignored. Indeed, James Barrett from the Gender Identity Clinic was concerned only for the welfare of Jones…”

Following the judgement on Jones’ case in 2011, prison sex-segregation criteria was reduced from genitalia to legal documentation – meaning any male who legally changed his gender marker was able to request transfer.

Jones was eventually transferred to a women’s institution and recieved genital surgery. Shortly after, he was released from prison once again as a parole board decided a life sentence for his crimes wasn’t appropriate.

In 2018, Jones was invited to the House of Lords to speak on expanding rights for transgender inmates and criminals.

According to Keep Prisons Single Sex UK, an incarcerated women’s advocacy group, there were 158 males who identified as transgender in prisons across England and Wales. This figure excludes trans-identified male inmates who have a gender recognition certificate, as those who do are counted as biologically female inmates.

Of the 158 trans-identified male inmates without a gender recognition certificate, 60% have at least one conviction for a sexual offense, compared to just 17% of non-trans identified male inmates.

OPINION: It’s Simple… Black Women Are Women. Men Are Not.

I am a Black woman.

Until one year ago, I didn’t realize just how hotly contested my identity was. For me, it was simply a material reality – experiences coded into my very existence, experiences that inherently influenced how I both perceived and was perceived by others.

But, blissfully ignorant of the culture war taking place in which my identity would be used as leverage, I ran in circles which impressed upon me that I had some unsaid duty to ally with a certain group of people – trans people. Trans-identified males specifically.

As a result, I happily shouted down any woman designated a “transphobe” with the compulsory mantra “TRANS WOMEN ARE WOMEN!” Why wouldn’t I? It was the progressive, empathetic thing to do. Unlike those TERFs – those deplorables – I was on the “right side of history.”

And then, I actually engaged with what was meant to be the “wrong side,” and had the subsequent realization that the wrong side wasn’t actually wrong.

Since becoming conscious of the immutable material reality of sex, and equally aware of the consequences of ignoring that reality, I’ve encountered a wild, frustrating assortment of justifications for blurring this all-important line and for dismissing the implications of making “woman” an umbrella term under which anyone can simply identify. But none of those justifications are more egregious than those which attempt to assert that males can be women because Black women are women.

A stellar example of this argument follows from a discussion on BBC2, though hundreds have been curated by feminists across social media.

Evie’s sentiment is far from isolated. Across social media, trans activists imply that “trans womanhood” is as valid as that of Black, brown, disabled, and even simply masculine or gender non-conforming women.

Often, these arguments are followed by some appeal to the historical oppression Black women faced in times of segregation. As though, because we were once segregated from white women, it is unthinkable that we should still need sexed segregation from males. Of course, the argument never speaks to ‘males’ but rather to this magical sub-category under the umbrella definition of woman.

In this logic, Black women become a subcategory of White women, excluded only because they were seen as not real women, and – poof! – so-called trans women can become a subcategory of women, too! And they’re excluded only because they are seen as not real women.

The tactic is a brilliant one… after all, if one succeeds in obfuscating the meaning of “woman,” then on what basis can any woman, even those who aren’t but self-identify as such, be excluded? But for all its cleverness, I take exception – not only for myself as a Back woman – but for any other woman now classed a subcategory of woman (i.e. “Black woman”, “disabled woman”, etc.) so that men may worm their way into a similar subcategory.

Neither “woman” nor “man,” “girl” nor “boy,” are genders. In the same way that a “doe” is a female deer, and a “buck” is a male deer, “woman,” “man,” “boy,” and “girl” are words for sexed human beings, not identities.

Black, brown, and disabled women are not subcategories of white women. They are females. Whether or not we ambulate, experience unique uterine/ovarian conditions or ailments, or boast more (or less) melanin — a woman is an adult human female.

A disabled woman who does not like or wear dresses is still a woman. A brown Latina who would be a shoe-in for stunt double to Joyce Hyser’s Terri Griffith in 1985’s Just One of the Guys is still a woman. A Black woman who doesn’t cook or clean particularly well is – yes, you guessed it – a woman!

Unfortunately, this argument that Black women stray from the category such that they become a distinct subcategory takes shape with the use of another unfortunate logic salad: “Sex is a colonial construct. Before the arrival of the white man, African societies had no notion of sex or of a ‘gender binary.’” The locus of this supposed “binary” is then placed on Europeans, and all non-white peoples are then treated as if they are morally required to uplift and endorse the scribes of the new gender religion.

Despite the very many and real products of its imposition in our lives, gender itself is not real. So there wouldn’t have been this “notion of a gender binary.” But there would have been, was, and is awareness of sex. Gender roles existed in pre-colonial African countries, as they do now in Africa and everywhere else, and are based on the sex binary. Thus, the “gender binary” in these countries hinged on their residents’ very consciousness of the sex binary.According to the genderists, “sex is but a construct,” and yet certain practices exist and have existed since before and without colonizer contact with African nations – practices that are eerily consistent with regards to the sex at which they strike. What is currently being termed “gender-based” oppression, such as female genital mutilation, female infanticide, and child marriage, is actually sex-based oppression perpetrated only because of the acute knowledge of what a female is.

To be sure, gender non-conforming (GNC) people existed then, as they do now. Further, new social categories were created and deployed in order to accommodate these GNC people, such as the hijra of the Indian subcontinent, muxes of Oaxaca, and kathoeys of Thailand. The entire logic behind “third genders”was that these people were not, and could not belong to an existing category.

Africans have always known the difference between the sexes, and, in fact, that knowledge served as the basis for the so-called “gender” binary. Many African and non-African Black people alike have protested the (frankly, sh*t) proposition that the simple, noble Africans did not know any better, and could not possibly have understand the mechanics of human evolution.

It is not only incorrect but also profoundly racist to argue that, for example, Black women and trans women are the same or even similar. This argument, that both are somehow “subcategories” of women, relies on the assumption that Black women stray in some way, even slightly, from one or more of the two primary elements of womanhood: “human” and “female.”

Trans-identified males, by definition, are male.

Black women, by definition, are female.

Simple.

German Trans “Sex Work” Org Targets Ukrainian Refugee Women

A “sex work” advocacy organization is utilizing social media to solicit Ukrainian refugee women for information on entering the legal German sex trade.

Berlin-based Trans*Sexworks, which describes itself as “a peer-to-peer support structure and network for and made up of trans and non-binary sexworkers,” has posted advertisements for counselling services targeting Ukrainian women who ‘need support/info on how to begin sex work in Germany.’

“We are now offering peer-counceling (sic) and support in Ukrainian, Russian and English for all sex-workers fleeing the war in Ukraine,” reads one post shared to their Instagram. “This offer is open to all sex workers regardless [of] gender identity (since we do not see any other offer for cisgender sex-workers) arriving in Berlin.”

The Instagram account refers readers to a trans-identified male who calls himself Gara Teaser, who shares photos of himself pole-dancing and posing in fetish gear.

Teaser’s bio reads, “A proud porn actor and sex worker studying psychology,” and links to his OnlyFans account, which is listed under the name Olek O’Neight. Until a month ago, “Gara Teaser” was creating sadomasochistic gay pornography content under a male name. His last post to Twitter, a nude photo, is dated February 19.

One of Trans*Sexworks organizers, a trans-identified female who goes by Casper Tate, took part in a demonstration last year demanding that the government lift a ban on the sex industry put in place to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Protesters held signs with slogans such as “Blow jobs are better than no jobs,” and “Migration + Sex Work ≠ Trafficking.”

According to their website, Trans*Sexworks has received a government subsidy from the Federal Ministry for the Family, Seniors, Women and Youth with funds allocated for “model projects.” The department’s website defines a model project as initiatives which provide “preventive educational work with children, adolescents and young adults … support people’s commitment to democracy,” and prevent “extremism.”

As Reduxx has previously reported, Google searches for terms such as “Ukrainian girls,” “Ukrainian porn,” and “war porn” spiked during the first week of the conflict. Likewise, the top trending searches on PornHub included “Ukraine” and “Ukrainian girl.” Other porn sites like XVideos also saw marked increases, with tags such as “Ukraine teen” and “Ukraine prostitute” adding thousands of new videos in those categories.

Earlier this month, a Brazilian politician came under fire for sexualizing vulnerable Ukrainian women while on a humanitarian trip to the country. Arthur Moledo do Val, also known as Mamãe Falei, bragged about how “cheap” Ukrainian women were due to their economically precarious situations, and rated the attractiveness of the women in the refugee lines.

Human traffickers have previously abducted women and girls from conflict-affected areas in Ukraine for sex and labor trafficking, according to a 2021 U.S. State Department report. In addition, research from human rights bodies has consistently found that displaced, refugee, and migrant women and children are at an increased risk of human trafficking.

Recently, a charity worker helping refugees flee Ukraine told HuffPost UK, “I have seen numerous dodgy men standing on site for hours looking for victims. You can tell by the distant look in their eyes, they won’t look at you, but they are scanning the crowds of refugees for victims,” he added.

Anna Dabrowska, director of human rights at the NGO Homo Faber, said men at the border were approaching women with children offering them safe accommodation in Germany. When the women asked police for advice, the men would quickly disappear from the station.

“For predators and human traffickers, the war in Ukraine is not a tragedy,” Secretary-General of the UN António Guterres recently commented. “It’s an opportunity – and women and children are the targets.”

Woman Cuts Off Husband’s Penis After Recording Him Abusing Her Daughter

A mother in Northwest Vietnam turned herself in to local police after cutting off her husband’s genitals in retaliation for sexually abusing her daughter.

Ha Thi N., 36-years-old, had set up video cameras in the residence after her 15-year-old daughter claimed the man, who was her stepfather, was sexually abusing her. Ha had approached her husband regarding the accusations prior to setting up the cameras, but the man had denied any wrongdoing. On March 18, Ha caught video evidence of the crime being committed, and retaliated.

According to Vietnamese media, the distressed mother sliced the man’s penis off just after midnight on March 20, throwing the organ away before turning herself into police. Nguyen Van H., 29-years-old, was then rushed to Son La General Hospital in a state of severe blood loss-based shock. The hospital reports that the wound was “extremely complex” with Nguyen having no remaining penis, severed testicles, and a flayed section of flesh on his belly.

Police were unable to locate Nguyen’s penis, so reconstruction could not occur. Instead, surgeons closed the wounds and created a urethral flap through which he could urinate.

Though some outlets reported Ha had acted due to a petty “marital dispute,” local police have confirmed they seized a camera from the girl’s bedroom which is believed to contain the video of Nguyen’s crime.
Ha’s lawyer has also reported that the 15-year-old was taken in for a forensic examination in order to collect additional evidence.

The lawyer also said that if police determine the abuse had taken place in a manner consistent with Ha’s claims, her culpability for the crime may be reduced. She is currently in temporary detainment while the investigation continues.
