A transgender politician in Mexico known for opposing the abolition of human trafficking is under fire for intentionally posting pornographic videos of himself on his official Twitter page while falsely claiming he was moonlighting as a “sex worker.”
Maria Clemente made headlines last year after becoming the first transgender politician ever elected to Mexico’s federal Chamber of Deputies. But Clemente’s short political career has already been marred by several incidents of impropriety, the latest being posting pornographic content of himself on his official Twitter.
Over the past two weeks, Clemente has posted uncensored videos and photos to his social media, most of which show him engaged in sex with men he refers to as “daddy.” The posts often utilize the tag #TransIsHot.
In a September 30 tweet, Clemente uploaded a pornographic video of a man’s erect penis, captioning it: “This is the first that I’m going to show you how I suck it like the popsicle that my dad bought me when I was a girl and took me to the park.”
Since then, Clemente has posted multiple other graphic videos, including those showing him performing oral sex on men. The videos received negative feedback from constituents, with many decrying the behavior as inappropriate and unbecoming of a federal politician.
Clemente responded to critics by making a post with a short list justifying his decision to put the pornographic videos on his official account. The reasons, which included “I am a woman,” and “It’s my body, my choice,” was accompanied by a video of Clemente in lingerie blowing kisses at the camera.
On October 6, VICE World Newspublished an article praising Clemente for uploading the content and lauding his political efforts advocating for “sex workers.” The article, titled “Mexico’s First Trans Politician is a Sex Worker Who Has No Problem Tweeting Her Own Porn,” included comment from Clemente in which he asserted that the posts were intended to bring in more clients for his side-career as a prostitute.
But the same day, Clemente’s husband issued a statement in which he claimed Clemente was lying about being a prostitute, and that the politician was actually buying sex, not selling it.
“I’ve known you for almost six years and I can assure you that you have never done sex work,” Iván Sheridan wrote, “Not professional. Not semi-professional. Not street … Don’t forget that you met me when I was practicing [prostitution], and that I received payment for my services for a long time. A lot of people know that.” Sheridan ended his two-page letter by telling Clemente he wanted to finalize their divorce.
According to Sheridan, Clemente has apparently only been doing “sex work” for a few days, and, despite his public persona of being a working-class sexual minority, lives in a luxurious penthouse in Mexico City’s upscale Zona Rosa.
Clemente also earns a Deputy salary of 75,000 pesos per month — roughly $3,700 USD.
Sheridan has since deleted his original tweet, apologizing for publishing private information, but has asserted that what he wrote was true. The statement has been preserved on other Twitter accounts, which Sheridan has positively interacted with.
Clemente’s claims of being a prostitute are not new. When running for office, he often called himself a “poor woman” and had frequently claimed to have been forced to work as a prostitute before becoming a politician.
As reported by Reduxx in July, Clemente is a staunch supporter of the sex industry. That support led him to clash with human rights experts at an annual congress meant to address the issue of trafficking in Latin America and the Carribean.
On July 6, the 7th Congreso Latinoamericano y Caribeño sobre Trata de Personas y Tráfico de Migrantes (Latinamerican and Carribean Congress on Human Trafficking and Migrant Smuggling) was held in Mexico City, and featured a diverse panel of international academics and politicians from Mexico’s Chamber of Deputies.
The goal of the conference was to discuss ways to tackle the serious issue of human trafficking in the region, with a particular emphasis on the ways in which women are impacted. In Mexico, 85% of human trafficking victims are female, with women and girls overrepresented in every form of the crime, including organ trafficking, forced prostitution, and labor exploitation.
But as one speaker, Spanish Sociologist Dr. Rosa María Cobo, addressed the issue of prostitution and its impact on the humanity of women, Clemente, who was in attendance, became enraged and physically aggressive.
A female member of the audience began to speak out against Clemente, yelling back a sarcastic question: “Women were born to be whores?”
Clemente replied: “Well I am a woman, and I am a whore! It’s my job and and how my family eats! I love it!”
Following Sheridan’s statement, many Mexican feminists are voicing their outrage over Clemente’s apparent appropriation of sex-based oppression.
“All our support for Iván, husband of María Clemente who has unmasked this fanatic consumer of prostitution. The theater is over!” Tweeted Asteria Barahùnda Feminista, a sex trade abolitionist collective.
“I applaud that they exposed [him], it’s what lying people need. And this man does not represent his community, nor the Mexican people, he is the deputy of the pimps,” another user tweeted in response to Sheridan’s statement.
“In other words, Mr. Maria Clemente [lies] about being a prostitute, and lives in a flat in the Zona Rosa and thus claims realities he does not live while fighting for the rights of men,” @nastyevilwitch wrote.
Clemente has not addressed the post made by his former partner beyond claiming it “never existed.”

A popular transgender TikToker in Australia is facing multiple charges related to the repeated sexual abuse of a child.
Rachel Queen Burton, 44, has been accused of crimes including the production of child exploitation material and gross indecency. In total, Burton is facing 8 charges, all of which appear to stem from a child victim who was repeatedly abused throughout 2019. While Burton is from Australia’s Northern Territory, the crimes were committed in the Southern state.
Burton’s case was first reported by The Advertiser, which referred to Burton as a “woman” and utilized feminine pronouns for him.
Burton was best known for his popular TikTok account, which had over 36,000 followers and boasted 418,000 ‘likes.’ On his profile, he describes himself as a “proud trans woman” who is “living my best life with no regrets.”
His birth name has not yet been verified, but it is known that Burton is the father of four children, all of whom seem to be tattooed on his chest. He does not appear to have lived with the children at any point in the last year, which is when his TikTok account was launched.
In January, Burton posted a video announcing he had been on hormone replacement therapy for 1 month and providing his viewers an update on his physical health.
“I [thought] I was supposed to get moody. But I haven’t been moody since starting the testosterone blockers … I got a little bitchy — just a little bitchy, that was when I was straight on the estrogen,” Burton explains, “I still cry. I still cry heaps. I’m still an emotional wreck. But it’s a nice emotion.”
Burton’s arrest is reflected in his account’s history, as he abruptly stopped posting regular content in June, apparently after being taken into police custody.
Comments on all of Burton’s TikTok videos have been disabled. But in an update video posted by user mairbear_67, commenters can be seen expressing their suspicions that something had not been quite right with Burton.
“That’s why [he] never spoke of [his] kids!” One viewer replied, with another writing: “Always had an off vibe about [him].”
While prosecutors moved to postpone Burton’s case by 10 weeks in order to conduct an electronic analysis of his laptop, his defense lawyers objected, complaining that Burton had already been detained for four months pending trial. Burton has not entered a plea on any of the charges.
Magistrate Simon Smart opted to remand Burton to custody. A hearing on the charges is expected in December. It is currently unknown if he is being housed in the male or female estate, but Australian law is notoriously lax on gender self-identification.
According to Women’s Forum Australia, the state of South Australia, where Burton is being tried, has no straightforward policies on where to place transgender inmates, but individuals are usually accommodated on a case-by-case basis.
Prison gender self-identification laws have become a significant discussion in Australia following a recent protest by female inmates against a trans-identified male they were being incarcerated with.
In August, female inmates at Australia’s largest women’s correctional facility in Victoria launched a petition to have a trans-identified male sex offender removed out of fears for their own safety.
The women advised media that they had no prejudices against transgender individuals, but were concerned for their safety as the transfer had a “working” penis and a history of violent sexual assault. According to the petition — after learning of the convict’s transfer, “the mental well-being of many of the women was severely compromised. They became visibly upset as they were triggered and traumatized.”
While the name of the transferred inmate was not released to the public, Reduxx determined that the details from the criminal’s background mirror that of Lisa Jones, a trans-identified male who had been sentenced to 3 years and 3 months in prison for sexually assaulting a woman last year. During his trial, it was revealed that Jones also had a prior record for sexually abusing a 6-year-old girl in Germany.

Me parece bastante poco interesante.

The academic who recently resigned from a charity that promotes the medical transitioning of children had for years been writing blog entries related to pro-pedophilia activism and “minor attraction.”
Jacob Breslow, an Associate Professor at the London School of Economics, stepped down from his position as a trustee for UK-based trans activist organization Mermaids earlier this week after it was revealed that he had, on several occasions, made statements and published academic work that favorably portrayed pedophilia.
In 2011, Breslow, then a PhD student, spoke at a symposium titled “Pedophilia, Minor-Attracted Persons, and the DSM: Issues and Controversies,” hosted by pedophile advocacy organization B4U-Act. The stated purpose of the symposium was to lobby the American Psychiatric Association for changes to the diagnostic definition of pedophilia in order to “reduce stigma” against “minor-attracted people” (MAPs).
B4U-Act describes itself as an organization that works toward a “collaborative effort between minor-attracted people and mental health professionals,” and has a history of lobbying medical authorities for changes in criteria which would declassify pedophilia as a disorder.
Founded in 2009 by convicted child rapist Michael Melsheimer, B4U-Act had apparently been approved by the founders of infamous pederast activist group, the North American Man/Boy Love Association (NAMBLA). After B4U-Act’s creation, Melsheimer had informed other pedophiles that his organization’s approach would be focused around garnering public support for normalizing pedophilia by falsely claiming the intention was to prevent child sexual abuse.
At their symposium, Breslow read from a paper in which he rejected the understanding of pedophilic attraction to children as being inherently harmful, and supported the concept of pedophilia being classified as a sexual or political orientation.
“Allowing for a form of non-diagnosable minor attraction is exciting, as it potentially creates a sexual or political identity by which activists, scholars, and clinicians can begin to better understand Minor Attracted Persons … Many tend to begin with the linkage of pedophilic desire to harmful and abusive relationships and acts, and end up proliferating, rather than questioning, normative gendered and sexual intelligibility,” read Breslow’s abstract.
At the organization’s 2011 symposium, Breslow compared molesting a child to masturbating on a shoe, saying, “Just as the desire to and the act of cumming on a shoe requires a rethinking of the shoe … I want to now argue that the desire to and the act of cumming on or possibly with a child requires a rethinking of both the child and of the person for whom the child is a sexual fantasy or partner.”
Following news of Breslow’s pedophilia apologism, further damning revelations have come to light, with a feminist Twitter user exposing WordPress blog entries written by Breslow from 2009 to 2017. Twitter user @Scottish_Woman first drew attention to the old blog, providing evidence that Breslow’s sordid history with pedophile sympathizing was far longer than previously thought.
Many entries by Breslow advocate for reframing pedophilia as a sexual identity comparable to homosexuality.
Breslow’s blog also provides links to external sites that contain or discuss child sexual abuse materials, such as a Wikipedia list of erotic books or pornographic publications, as well as the personal site belonging to a man claiming to be a convicted sex offender.
In several blog posts, Breslow describes his fascination with and appreciation for pornographic magazines centered on the sexualization of teenage boys. In particular, Breslow praises Destroyer Magazine, a publication created by Karl Andersson which features sexualized photos of models that are advertised as being as young as 15 years old.
Breslow describes Destroyer as “a magazine dedicated to the beauty of the boy” and praises Andersson’s “academic(ish) critique and aesthetic appreciation of boyhood, deviance, and the LGBT community.”
Andersson came under widespread scrutiny in August after it was revealed he had written an academic article in which he admitted to masturbating to fantasy child sexual abuse material for three months as part of his “research” as a PhD student at the University of Manchester. Following media coverage of Andersson’s paper, he was suspended by university administrators.
Andersson’s article, titled “Using masturbation as an ethnographic method in research on shota subculture in Japan” was roundly condemned by academics, parents’ groups and MPs. The academic journal Qualitative Researchpulled the article last month in response to the backlash, and the paper sparked a police investigation into whether Andersson had used illegal pornographic materials while residing in the UK.
From 2006 to 2010, Andersson was responsible for two unsettling visual media projects which focused on the sexualization of young boys: the aforementioned Destroyer, as well as Breaking Boy News.
While Destroyer was condemned both in Sweden and abroad for its disturbing content, Andersson was sympathetically covered by Out, an international gay news outlet, in 2012.
“The most controversial expression of homosexuality is when a man is attracted to an adolescent boy,” Andersson is quoted as saying, “The [porn films] that are called ‘barely legal’ feature men dressed as boys … I find it quite uninteresting. It’s just drag. The models in Destroyer are well under 18.”
The official site for Destroyer was recommended and linked through by Breslow, in addition to a pro-pedophile forum called Milkboys, which had hosted similar pornographic content of young boys at the time and boasted over 24,000 members. The administrator of the forum was interviewed by Andersson for an issue of Destroyer.
“The Moral Majority’s pretense of protecting children is mostly a smokescreen. They are less concerned with protecting children than with maintaining their property right in children, with preventing children’s self-determination. While not every child may seek erotic relations with older persons, still, youth liberation is the natural ally of the defense of love between men and boys,” Breslow’s post reads.
To this day, Kepner is profiled positively on the official website of the North American Man / Boy Love Association (NAMBLA), which describes how, at a 1986 conference, Kepner referred to pedophiles as minorities and “victims themselves of prejudice and discrimination.”
In an early entry, Breslow compared his interest in certain types of underwear as a “feminist intervention,” and claimed that his sexual proclivity for “infantilism” and “submission” facilitates a “childish sexuality.”
“I recognize that calling upon a fetish to spark a rethinking of gender roles might seem trivial. However … As a marker of infertility, asexuality and submission, briefs as a sexual object make men’s desire/sexuality equivalent with the sexuality of a child. I hope to legitimate the re-sexualization of youth in a way that complicates current forms of gender and sexuality,” Breslow wrote in 2009.
“I am constantly struggling not because of my ‘homosexuality’ or because my ‘gayness’ is so repressed, but because of my sexuality as deviant … it isn’t the gender of my sexual object choice that is the sole basis of my desire, but the age and subsequent deviance of that desire that is important,” Breslow wrote.
“I am attempting to work through the ways in which acts and identities gain meaning and become conflated. Although I obviously do not condone abuse, rape, molestation and intimate partner violence, I find the immediate connection between the sexual desire for youth and its pathologization, internalization and criminalization to be problematic,” Breslow wrote in 2011.
Over the course of the past decade, Breslow has maintained his views, as evidenced by his 2016 PhD thesis, in which he argued some kids are “queer.”
In his thesis, Breslow also implies that children are not only sexual, but “perverse,” writing: “the queering that ‘queer’ does to the child, is one of resisting the child’s alleged asexuality and heterosexuality; allowing for the child’s pleasures, desires, and perversities.”
In 2021, Breslow published a book titled “Ambivalent Childhoods: Speculative Futures and the Psychic Life of the Child.” He described the book as exploring “the queer life of children’s desires.” One chapter, titled “Desiring the Child,” opens with a description of a 12-year-old child dancing and mimicking sex acts to a crowd of adults.
During an online book launch discussion, Breslow stated: “What do we do when queerness is aligned with projects that are less easy to sit with that are less sort of respectable? … Is it really that children or young people having sex is the problem? Or is it [the problem] the conditions under which that sex happens?” Breslow also condemned the “carceral state” for its treatment of sex offenders, and echoed previous work he has done rejecting the need for the sex offender registry.
News of Breslow’s position as a trustee at UK-based transgender youth charity Mermaids prompted widespread backlash this week, with many on social media calling for a public inquiry into the organization.
Renowned author J.K. Rowling denounced “genderists” who belittled the significance of Breslow’s appointment to children’s charity Mermaids, which promotes the medical halting of puberty.
“The problem isn’t that a man who wrote sympathetically about orgasming ‘on or with’ a child was made trustee of a children’s charity, but that the TERFs might ‘twist’ his appointment. Then straight back to the self-soothing mantras, with a glow of inner virtue,” Rowling tweeted.
Breslow has published articles and presented lectures on strategies for undermining arguments made by critics of gender identity ideology. In January, he spoke for Cambridge University’s Centre for Gender Studies during an online event titled “‘Sex is Real,’ and other Gender Critical Non Sequiturs: A TERF Grammar Book.”
An organization established by Professor Sally Hines at the University of Leeds published an essay last year by Breslow which compared feminists to Nazis, and called for “a sustained campaign of resistance against them.”
Last week, the Charity Commission, regulatory body for charities in England and Wales, announced it had opened an investigation into Mermaids in response to safeguarding concerns. A report by The Telegraph found that the organization was offering to secretly send potentially harmful breast binders to children without their parents’ knowledge or consent.
A spokesman for the commission said: “Concerns have been raised with us about Mermaids’ approach to safeguarding young people. We have opened a regulatory compliance case and have written to the trustees. We now await their reply.”
On October 6, The Timesreported that the national lottery had decided to pause its £500,000 annual grant to Mermaids pending the results of the Charity Commission investigation.
Mermaids has stated they were ignorant of Breslow’s appearance at the B4U-Act conference prior to being approached by media, but it is unclear as to whether they were aware of his extensive academic history promoting the sexualization of children.
Breslow’s brother, Aaron Samuel Breslow, is an Assistant Professor with dual affiliation at Albert Einstein College of Medicine and Harvard Medical School who advocates for the medical “transitioning” of children and has expressed support for his brother’s views on “minor attraction.”

“Me golpeaba constantemente.

A British sailor accused of sexual assault has been cleared of his charges after arguing in court that his demisexual identity made it impossible for him to have committed the crime.
Triss Smythe, an Air Engineering Technician with the Royal Navy, was found not guilty of sexual assault following a 3-day trial in a Wiltshire, UK, military court. The charges stemmed from a summer incident in which Smythe, who identifies as non-binary, was reported after non-consensually kissing, licking, and “grinding up” on a fellow serviceman.
The alleged incident took place at the Royal Navy Air Station Yeovilton in Somerset. Smythe was said to have circled behind the alleged victim, grabbed him in a tight embrace, and thrust against him to the point that he could feel Smythe’s penis against him. Smythe also kissed him on the neck for what the alleged victim reported “felt like a lifetime.”
According to The Daily Mail, the complainant forcefully pushed Smythe away and told him to stop, after which he filed a formal report with higher-ups. During the trial, he reported feeling “violated and humiliated” by the acts.
“I don’t know what I had done to deserve it. To do it on the neck, for me that’s a really sexual and passionate area. It was unwarranted and unprecedented and there is no history between us,” the alleged victim told the court.
The complainant’s testimony was supported by a witness, a female sailor, who substantiated his account of the story. She reported that Smythe had “gripped [the victim] extremely close – I don’t think you could have got a hand between them.”
The witness continued: “It looked like Smythe kissed his neck. I saw him do something quite intimate. It wasn’t something I would have done to a colleague. It’s not something you would expect at work.”
But Smythe contested the claims, saying he had only briefly touched and kissed the alleged victim.
During the course of the trial, Smythe also told the court he could not have assaulted the other sailor because he was demisexual.
“I am demisexual – with emotional requirements. It is on the asexual spectrum … The fact is I’m demisexual – sexual urge isn’t something that comes easily with my own fiancee, let alone a colleague.”
Demisexual people are said to only feel sexually attracted to another person when they have formed an emotional bond with the person, or have gotten to know them.
Smythe suggested that his sexual identity made it so that he could not have sexually assaulted anyone unless he had a strong emotional bond with them. Smythe argued that he did not find the alleged victim sexually attractive, and thus there was no sexual undertone to his touching.
Smythe, who is reportedly engaged to a woman, was apparently known for yelling “I’m here and I’m queer” in the workplace.
Last year, Smythe was profiled by Forces.net in an article encouraging people to make “small changes” to help “non-binary, trans and women” service members feel included.
Smythe mentioned that his squadron had assigned a special washroom to be gender-neutral for him in an effort to accommodate his non-binary gender identity.
“It had a sign on it saying ‘gender-neutral toilet’ which means I didn’t feel like I was in a male space, therefore I had to be male.”

A violent sex offender has been awarded more than $2.5 million in legal fees after suing the state for withholding “gender affirming care” while he was incarcerated for sexually abusing a 15-year-old boy.
Adree Edmo, formerly known as Mason Edmo, first launched a lawsuit against the state of Idaho and the state department of correction’s medical provider, Corizon Correctional Healthcare, in 2017 after being denied “gender” surgeries.
In the suit, Edmo had sought access to a legal name change, “gender appropriate” clothing, and “gender affirming” surgeries. Edmo, who was housed in a male prison at the time, also demanded a transfer to a women’s facility.
In 2018, U.S. District Judge B. Lynn Winmill ruled that Edmo was at risk of “irreparable harm” without the surgery, and ordered the state to pay for it. The state appealed, with one of their lawyers noting that the medical professionals treating Edmo agreed that he did not qualify for the surgery due to his “uncontrolled mental health issues.” The state’s lawyer also said that Edmo had refused to participate in therapy to help prepare for the procedure.
The appeal was unsuccessful, and Edmo received his surgery and was subsequently transferred to women’s prison in 2020 to serve the remainder of his sentence. He was released in 2021.
On Monday, Judge Winmill awarded Edmo roughly $2.5 million in legal fees and court expenses. Edmo was represented in his case by seven different attorneys, including lawyers from the National Center for Lesbian Rights. Their fees must now be paid by Corizon Correctional Healthcare under a separate agreement with the state.
Judge Winmill lowered the attorney’s original request from $2.82 million to about $2.58 million but agreed to most of their requests, including $465 an hour for many of the lawyers.
Attorney Amy Whelan of the National Center for Lesbian Rights hailed the decision, stating: “Federal law requires defendants to pay the reasonable attorney fees and costs of a civil rights plaintiff that proves that [his] civil rights complaint has been violated.”
During the case proceedings, Edmo claimed he had been living as a woman prior to his incarceration, and that his gender dysphoria was severe. But in 2018, one of his past victims spoke to media and contested his narrative.
Brady Summers, who dated Edmo for two years, said that Edmo had not been living as a woman before going to prison and had always presented as a masculine gay man.
“Never once indicated anything of gender dysphoria,” Summers said, recounting his experience with Edmo, “He was a predator. He, on several occasions, had his way with me. It was brutal.”
Summers was subjected to continuous abuse by Edmo during their relationship, which had been the first Summers had ever been in after coming out.
“He would beat me on a constant basis. I had to keep my head low. I had to be careful what I said, careful what I did. And the final straw of me escaping was him beating me with a frying pan.”
Edmo did a stint in jail for the abuse, but attempted to reconcile with Summers once he was released. Not long after, Edmo sexually assaulted an underage boy at a house party. Edmo was charged with the sexual abuse of a child under the age of 16, and sentenced to 10 years in prison for the crime in 2012.
During his interview, Brady Summers objected to the possibility of taxpayers funding Edmo’s surgery.
“He’s getting a surgery, an elective surgery, that people have been waiting for all their life to have and it’s a mockery. It’s unjust,” Summers said. “It’s not right that we as taxpayers have to be involved with this. And he never once thought about his victims, our emotional sanity.”
In 2019, Idaho Governor Brad Little condemned Edmo’s effort to secure his surgery while incarcerated, penning a statement to media.
“The hardworking taxpayers of Idaho should not be forced to pay for a convicted sex offender’s gender reassignment surgery when it is contrary to the medical opinions of the treating physician and multiple mental health professionals.”
The 9th Circuit Court nonetheless ruled that, despite Edmo’s doctor and two other physicians agreeing to a treatment plan which did not include surgery, the “general agreement in a medically unacceptable form of treatment does not somehow make it reasonable.”
The Court also ruled that prison officials had violated the Eighth Amendment of the US Constitution prohibiting cruel and unusual punishment by refusing Edmo’s request for surgery.
Edmo is not currently required to register as a sex offender, and social media activity from after his 2021 release from prison mention traveling across the United States to multiple destinations including Nevada and California.

A group of feminists marching for women’s rights in Paris last week were physically assaulted by trans activists who tore up their signs and hurled slurs at them for being critical of gender ideology.
On September 28, a march was organized in Paris to support reproductive freedom. Two grassroots feminist groups, L’Amazone and Osez Le Féminisme, attended the demonstration to represent women’s sex-based rights, but their participation quickly drew hostility from the trans activists present.
The day of the march, footage was uploaded to Twitter by L’Amazone showing trans activists surrounding them and screaming while trying to rip their signs away.
Both groups have experienced past incidents of verbal and physical assault at the hands of trans activists for their opposition to the sex industry and their emphasis on the importance of biological sex as it pertains to women’s rights.
Désirée, an activist from L’Amazone who attended the protest, told Reduxx that the trans activists had apparently been actively asking around for her organization in order to target them for abuse.
After locating the women, trans activists managed to successfully steal some of their signs and destroy them. In one video taken by L’Amazone, a trans activist can be seen slapping the phone out of a woman’s hands as she attempts to record the incident.
Police and march security who were monitoring the events unfold refused to take action, even after Désirée approached and pleaded for help, something she says “shocked” her.
Surrounding the women, trans activists screamed “men can have abortions” in apparent retort to both groups’ opposition to gender ideology. They also yelled “TERFs get out,” and “stop transphobia!”
During the attack, one women’s rights advocate sustained a broken finger as she was grabbed and shoved.
After L’Amazone released footage of the violence and hostility their members had experienced, march organizers released a statement addressing the incidents. While it said it “condemns the violence,” it also lashed out at the women who had released footage showing police and security services doing nothing to protect the women being targeted.
Désirée responded with disappointment to the comments, stating: “Instead of clearly denouncing the aggression against us, they talk about the fact that we criticized their security service. The real problem is that we were systematically attacked during the march by the trans activists, and instead of defending us and naming our abusers, they incriminate us,” she said.
“Gender ideology hurts women. We can’t speak about our struggles without being harassed or insulted. We can’t even speak about our sex-based rights. We have to deny our womanhood because some people’s feelings might be hurt,” Désirée explained.
Désirée says that she recognized some of the attackers as individuals who had assaulted her organization on a separate occasion. Days prior to the September 28 incident, L’Amazone members were harassed by trans activists while demonstrating in support of Iranian women and their fight against compulsory hijab laws.
During a protest against sex trafficking held in Paris on International Women’s Day earlier this year, members of L’Amazone, as well as Osez le Féminisme and Résistance Lesbienne, were reportedly assaulted seven times in the span of 20 minutes.
That same day in Brussels, trans activists distributed leaflets explaining how to recognize “TERFs,” identifying them as women who promote “whore-phobic rhetoric.” The leaflets advised readers to “avoid discussion,” stating that “identities are not up for debate.”
The incidents echoed those of International Women’s Day in 2021, with violence directed at women demonstrating against the sex trade.
During a protest organized by the Coalition Against Pornography and Prostitution (CAPP), trans activists carried out a premeditated assault on the small group of women who had congregated at the Place de la République in Paris. The opposing activists, who referred to themselves as a pro-trans Antifa collective, hurled eggs at the women while chanting, “One TERF, one bullet, social justice.” Many of the women assaulted were survivors of sex trafficking.
Anissia Docaigne-Makhrova, a member of L’Amazone since its inception, spoke to Reduxx on how the situation for women’s rights campaigners has worsened this year.
Docaigne-Makhrova recalled that after last year’s attack, notable feminist figures and organizations publicly defended the women who had been abused. But following the incidents last week, no such support has emerged, and those directly involved with the organizers of the march were actually complicit in the hostility.
“Last week, the organizers of the demonstration took the side of the attackers. One of the women from the organizer’s event attacked us. She violently stole my sister’s phone while she was filming.”
Docaigne-Makhrova places a portion of the blame on France’s largest feminist organization, Nous Toutes, for publicly denouncing women critical of gender ideology as “TERFs.”
At the beginning of this year, Nous Toutes announced that the organization would no longer provide data on domestic femicides due to concerns over the sex-based data being used by “transphobes.”
Despite being founded to provide information on femicides, Nous Toutes recently condemned a volunteer women’s rights group, Féminicides Par Compagnons ou Ex, for accurately reporting that no trans-identified males had been murdered by domestic violence in France in 6 years. The comment was made in response to an inquiry asking why they had not released any femicide data on trans-identified males.
Nous Toutes condemnedthe anti-femicide organization for reporting on the lack of murders, stating that the information was “oppressive” and “otherwise illegal.”
When asked if she believes the statements made on social media by Nous Toutes resulted in increased threats and intimidation, Docaigne-Makhrova responded: “Absolutely. They helped expand the hatred towards feminists. Nous Toutes has made several public statement against ‘TERFs,’ allowing people to insult, threaten and assault us during demonstrations.”
Recently, street graffiti which wishes death on women branded “TERFs” has been documented in public spaces, including in the Paris subway.
L’Amazone was founded in 2020 by prominent French women’s rights activist Marguerite Stern in an attempt to break away from the trans activists who had overtaken her previous feminist collective, Collages Contre les Féminicides.
The collective, which Stern began in February 2019, consisted of street murals aimed at raising public awareness of sex-based violence against women.
But by January 2020, Stern’s project had been “hijacked” by gender ideology. Stern then created L’Amazone and has endured countless death threats, while members of L’Amazone have been singled out for abuse by their critics.
L’Amazone‘s street murals have been targeted by trans activists for destruction.
In July, a tribute to babies murdered by child abuse made by L’Amazone artists for a documentary on shaken baby syndrome was vandalized by trans activists. When asked why they were destroying the piece, the activists stated it was because it was made by “transphobic feminists.”
