Lesbian Conference Invites Male As Keynote Speaker

The University of Cork is hosting the 25th “Lesbian Lives” conference, but one of its main keynote speakers is a biological male who identifies as a lesbian.

Susan Stryker, a transgender Professor of gender studies at the University of Arizona, is the first of three keynote presenters at the 25th Lesbian Lives conference, which is being held March 4th and 5th at the University of Cork in Ireland. Its 2022 theme is “solidarity.”

Stryker was one of the first academics who sought to apply critical race theorist Kimberlé Crenshaw’s concept of “intersectionality” to males who insisted they could become women. In 2020, Stryker wrote an article for Time Magazine drawing and relying on the history of racial segregation to claim that women were merely a social construct. Such comparisons have been extensively decried by Black feminists.

But Stryker’s most infamous work is a 1993 essay subtitled Preforming Transgender Rage, in which he describes himself as a “Harley-straddling, dildo-packing leatherdyke from hell.” One part of the essay is an extended journal entry from Stryker gratuitously detailing the graphic nature of his wife’s childbirth, which devolves into a parable from Stryker complaining about his emotional state once he arrived home.

“For days, as I had accompanied my partner on her journey, I had been progressively opening myself and preparing to let go of whatever was deepest within. Now everything in me flowed out, moving up from inside and out through my throat, my mouth because these things could never pass between the lips of my cunt.”

In 2008, Stryker lashed out against Vancouver Rape Relief — Canada’s oldest rape crisis shelter — denouncing the concept of “segregated spaces” for women. Stryker’s comments came following the conclusion of a lengthy human rights case brought against the shelter by Kimberly Nixon, a trans-identified male who demanded the right to work with the vulnerable women and was denied on the basis of his biological sex. Vancouver Rape Relief was ultimately affirmed by higher-level courts to have no obligation to accommodate him, and Nixon lost all subsequent appeals. In 2007, he was ordered by the Supreme Court of Canada to pay the shelter’s legal fees, which he refused to do.

Canadian feminist and lesbian activist Eva Kurilova of Gender Dissent says she was “disappointed” to learn Stryker had been invited to represent lesbianism. Speaking to Reduxx, she says that “by making this choice, the conference is pushing the idea that lesbianism is nothing more than an ‘identity’ rather than a material reality, and contributing to the erasure of lesbians.”

Kurilova says that by platforming Stryker, the University of Cork is pushing regressive ideas about lesbianism, noting that attempts to define the sexuality as exclusively referring to female homosexuals are often met with “toxic derision” due to ideas about inclusivity.

“In queer and woke spaces, lesbians are no longer allowed to describe ourselves as same-sex attracted, as this is not seen as inclusive,” she says, continuing: “Instead, we have to be open to biological males in our spaces, on our dating apps, and in our sex lives.”

Kurilova took particular issue with a reading from Stryker’s Performing Transgender Rage essay, singling out a passage where he defines his sexuality as wanting “intimacy with women more than intimacy with men” while calling it a queer attraction.

“What he is describing is heterosexuality. He is not and can never be a woman who wants and seeks intimacy with other women.”

But Kurilova ends with hoping that Stryker’s attendance will contribute to the recent surge in backlash against trans-identified males seeking acceptance and accommodation within lesbian spaces.

“Many lesbians are, unfortunately, used to taking a backseat to men who think they can speak on our behalf. I can only hope the conference sheds some light on what is going on and inspires more pushback.”

Thai Trans-Identified Male Arrested for Child Sex Trafficking

A Thai man who self-identifies as transgender was arrested on January 20 at a hotel in Phuket, for allegedly arranging human trafficking and the sexual exploitation of children under the age of 18 years.

Supalak Chumphan, 37, was wanted by local police for the exploitation of children through the sex trafficking of mostly girls under the age of 18. Chumphan offered the children for sale on Twitter, reportedly using the name “Pepsi” on his account to find potential buyers before contacting johns on the mobile application Line.

Undercover police officers contacted the Twitter account, stating that they wanted to procure a sexual encounter at a local hotel in the Mueang district. The suspect was discovered sending young girls to the arranged location on Wednesday, when police were able to make the arrest.

Chumphan confessed to allegations of human trafficking, procuring, and arranging the exploitation of children between the ages of 15 to 18 years old. He will be transferred for further interrogation and legal proceedings in Bangkok.

Local media outlets have consistently referred to Chumphan as a woman.

Thailand is a major international hub for sex trafficking, particularly of children. An estimated 31% of tourists to the nation are sex buyers and the nation has an international reputation for clinics offering so-called “sex reassignment” surgeries, as well as the preponderance of “ladyboys” in the sex trafficking industry.

In 2020, Cambodian trans-identified male Wan Jo was arrested for pimping underage girls in Bangkok. Last year, it was reported that notorious Australian heroin dealer and convicted rapist David John Kelleher had relocated to Thailand to “live as a woman.”

Sex Doll Company Used Model’s Likeness Without Her Consent

Israeli Instagram model Yael Cohen Aris has taken legal action against a Chinese company that manufactures sex dolls after discovering that her likeness was stolen for the prototype of a head.

Chinese company Irontech Dolls advertises sex dolls that include the option of detachable heads which can be traded out. One of the heads it produces, along with a life-size doll, is called the “Yael” and has Cohen Aris’s facial structure, hair color, eyeglasses, and beauty mark.

“It’s not just about a beauty mark and my name, because sex dolls are still just dolls and there is a limit to how much they can look like a human being,” Cohen Aris told ITV’s This Morning show. “But once it was connected to my identity and image and videos, social media, there is no mistake here.”

Cohen Aris was first tipped off by a fan in 2019, who sent her a link to a forum where the product was being discussed. At the time, the “Yael” head was priced at $420. A full Irontech Doll complete with “Yael” head is currently being marketed on websites for over $1,400. Her social media photographs and videos were also being used without her knowledge to promote the prototype.

Cohen Aris is taking legal action and demanding the full removal of her likeness from the company’s product line. She has stated that she would not agree to settle on a share of the company’s profits.

I think first of all it should get off the shelves, and then maybe we could talk about what happened and how things went wrong and why,” she said. “I’m not talking about compensation, I think learning a lesson from this would be the best thing to come out of this story, and this is also what I hope to achieve by raising awareness — that is what I am trying to pursue.”

She told British TV talk show This Morning that she wants to “bring a real conversation about our privacy, if we want to share ourselves online,” Cohen Aris said, continuing “We need to have this conversation about how we can protect our identities.”

New York Gov. Proposes Gender “Inclusive” Prison Policies

New York Governor Kathy Hochul has proposed a policy to allow trans-identifying male inmates to be transferred into women’s prisons on the basis of a self-declared “gender identity.”

The policy states that inmates who have a ‘gender identity’ that differs from their biological sex will have the right to request placement in prison housing “with persons of the gender that is consistent with such person’s gender identity.”

Inmates who claim a transgender status also must “have access to department-issued undergarments and clothing that are consistent with the individuals’ gender identity, and shall have the ability to receive undergarments, clothing and personal care items through package procedures,” according to Hochul’s $216.3 billion budget proposal, which covers the state Department of Correctional Services and Supervision (DOCCS).

The proposed budget plan also orders the DOCCS commissioner to draft rules and train officers to “forbid discrimination against transgender inmates,” according to the New York Post.

This stipulation contradicts language in the proposal ostensibly granting wardens the final say on transfer requests, stating that decisions may be made on a “case-by-case basis” that takes into account “safety, security or health concerns.”

One inmate who may be eligible for transfer to a women’s facility is multi-convicted killer “Rona Sugar Love”, born Alberto Rodriguez Marrero, who shot and killed a homeless man for making a comment that he didn’t like while on parole for stabbing another individual 42 times. Marrero was also convicted in 1992 of shooting a woman point-blank in the head. Just prior to his third arrest for murder, Marrero was consulted by the Legal Action Committee on parolee needs.

Another future transfer could include Robert Glanowski, who claims a female identity and is currently a wanted fugitive after the rape of a 10 year-old child.

Leading news outlet The New York Times did not mention the gender identity policy when reporting on Gov. Hochul’s budget plan, which she has promoted as a spending plan for a “post-pandemic future” and a “more inclusive version of the American Dream.”

Including controversial measures in a budget proposal is a strategy for passing policies without public knowledge. Hochul’s tactic mirrors that of her predecessor, former governor Andrew Cuomo, who passed a strongly-contested policy legalizing commercial surrogacy by attaching it to a budget proposal designed to provide financial relief during the COVID-19 outbreak.

Trans Swimmer Intentionally Lost Race, Alleges Teammate

A teammate of trans-identified male swimmer Lia Thomas has come forward to anonymously disclose that she believes Thomas colluded with another swimmer to intentionally lose the recent 100 Freestyle race.

Speaking exclusively to Outkick, a sports magazine, a University of Pennsylvania swimmer and teammate of male-to-female swimmer Lia Thomas disclosed that she believed Thomas intentionally lost the race by colluding with Yale female-to-male swimmer Iszac Henig during the January 8th race. The woman remained anonymous due to fear of backlash and concerns about “threats.”

The results of the 100 Freestyle made international headlines after Thomas lost to Henig. Henig was still competing on the women’s team because she had not yet started testosterone hormone replacement therapy.

On the baffling results of the race, the anonymous swimmer told Outkick: “Looking at [Lia’s] time, I don’t think [he] was trying … I know they’re friends and I know they were talking before the meet. I think [Thomas] let [Henig] win to prove the point that, ‘Oh see, a female-to-male beat me.’”

The swimmer went on to state that she “wouldn’t be shocked” if evidence soon came out to demonstrate her conviction was correct.

“I was on deck and said to a friend, ‘[Thomas is] literally not trying.’ You could just tell,” The swimmer said. “It was blatantly obvious. I was watching the 200 free and [Thomas] was literally keeping pace with the other girls.”

Thomas has dominated the female NCAA swimming categories since being cleared to compete earlier this year. He swam as Will Thomas with the UPenn male division for years prior to announcing he identified as female. Thomas had been competing in the male category as recently as 2019.

Since identifying as a woman, Thomas has outperformed every female he has competed against, as well as broken multiple US women’s swimming records.

Thomas’ teammates have been expressing displeasure with his appropriation of female athletic spaces, with multiple women having come out with harsh criticisms of his behavior and performance.

Just this week, it was reported that Thomas had compared himself to Jackie Robinson — the first African American player in Major League Baseball, and a pioneer of desegregated sports.

In December, Cynthia Millen, who has been an official with USA Swimming for 30 years, had stepped down in protest of Thomas’ continued participation in women’s leagues, saying: “I can’t do this … I can’t support this.”

Millen officially resigned on December 17, in the midst of preparations to officiate the US Paralympics Swimming National Championships in Greensboro, North Carolina.

Police Contacting Those Concerned About Trans Girlguiding Leader

UK Police forces have been contacting parents and members of the public expressing concerns over the appointment of a biological male with a disturbing social media history to a senior position within the UK Girl Guides Franchise.

Monica Sulley, a male who identifies as a woman, became the lead Commissioner for the Southwell division of Girl Guides UK, known there as Girlguiding, in July of 2021 but came to widespread attention later on in the year.

Sulley’s appointment came on the heels of a female Girlguiding leader being expelled from the organization on the basis of her belief that girls should not be forced to shower or share tents with males who identify as women. Helen Watts had been a supporting member of the Guides for over 15 years prior to being sacked due to her views.

Women’s rights-concerned users on social media have expressed upset over Sulley’s appointment since it came to widespread public scrutiny in November of 2021, with some noting that Sulley was taking a position from an actual woman

But sleuths quickly uncovered some disturbing posts Sulley has made on his social media accounts – including him posing with weapons, and him dressed in bondage gear, captioning himself “Mistress.”

Girlguiding introduced a pro-trans policy in 2018, and immediately received backlash from members of the public who had child safeguarding concerns.

While Girlguiding framed their policies as being directed towards including and supporting children, they tip-toed around the fact they were also allowing adult males who identified as women to take leadership positions within the organization in proximity to and control over the youth.

News of Sulley’s appointment has been met with backlash from women’s rights activists and netizens concerned over his inappropriate online behavior as well as his motivations for being involved in the organization.

One user said “Why would you be so insensitive towards women and girls that you would do this? I’ve managed my whole life without being involved with guiding and I’m a woman, it’s hardly traumatic to not be involved.”

Another user suggested that the message it was sending to young women was possibly harmful, and that it simply demonstrated males would be readily able to gain leadership over females in exclusive spaces simply by identifying as women.

Now, a slew of complaints have begun cropping up on Twitter from users reporting Police have been contacting those who had expressed outrage at Sulley’s appointment, or raised concerns for the safety of children in the Girlguiding franchise.

On January 19, Labour Councillor Nina Killen posted to Twitter that a friend of hers had been threatened with arrest by police, and had been forced to attend a questioning. This followed her writing a letter to Girlguiding with safeguarding concerns.

Councillor Killen wasn’t the only one. Another Twitter user noted in a separate post that a friend of hers had also been contacted by police on the same issue.

The user, @MDayCassandra, called on others to share similar experiences if they had them — and multiple users replied to her post noting they were aware of other incidents where people had also been subject to Police contact for writing to Girlguiding with complaints.
The consistent nature of the comments would suggest that the Nottinghamshire branch of Girlguiding, where Sulley is retained as a leader, may be reporting comments received on his appointment to the Police.

Reduxx has reached out to the branch to request comment or confirmation on whether they have been forwarding complaints to law enforcement, but did not receive a response.

Teacher Removed from School Board Meeting for “Transphobia”

A teacher in Canada was removed from a local school board meeting after being accused of “transphobia.”

Carolyn Burjoski, a Waterloo Region District School Board teacher, expressed concerns over themes found in children’s books that related to sexuality and gender identity during a January 17 presentation which took place over Zoom.

“I am very concerned that some of the resources in our elementary school libraries are inappropriate for young children,” said Burjoski. She then proceeded to give examples of books available in libraries accessible to children aged six to twelve years old.

“In the book Rick, by Alex Gino, a boy named Jeff keeps talking to Rick about naked girls. Rick is confused because he doesn’t think about naked girls, so he wonders if something’s wrong with him,” explained Burjoski.

“Rick gets invited to the school’s rainbow club and ends up declaring an asexual identity. While reading this book I was thinking, ‘Maybe Rick doesn’ have sexual feelings yet because he is a child. Also, what message does this send to young girls who might be in grade three or four? They are children. Let them grow up in their own time and stop pressuring them to be sexual so soon,” asserted Burjoski.

Ms Burjoski then began to express concerns that the book The Other Boy by MG Hennessey made it seem “simple, or even cool to take puberty blockers and opposite sex hormones.”

In the page highlighted in Burjoski’s presentation, a young girl called Shane had been placed on puberty blockers which in turn prevented her from “going through a female puberty.”

A doctor then tells the girl’s father that she “won’t be able to have children naturally,” to which Shane replies, “It’s cool.”

It was at this point that WRDSB trustee Scott Piatkowski interrupted Burjoski to say, “I’m getting a little concerned that your content may be problematic. I would caution you to make sure that you’re not saying anything that would violate the human rights code.”

Undaunted, Burjoski continued: “This book is misleading because it does not take into account how Shane might feel later in life about being infertile. This book makes very serious medical interventions seem like an easy cure for emotional and social distress.”

Piatkowski again interjected, stating, “The Ontario Human Rights Code includes gender identity and gender expression as grounds for discrimination and I’m concerned that your comments are in violation of that. I’m ending the presentation,” Piatkowski said.

“I believe the delegation is talking about age appropriateness,” said Trustee Cindy Watson, who was supporting Burjoski’s right to continue speaking.

On January 19, Burjoski’s comments and censorship were made public when evolutionary biologist and Quillette editor Colin Wright shared the link to the video of the school board meeting. The WRDSB subsequently removed the video from YouTube, and Piatkowski tweeted, “I made a ruling. Trustees upheld that ruling. I stand by it.”

Trans-Identified Male Charged With Distributing Child Sexual Abuse Material

A trans-identified male was arrested on December 15, 2021 for the distribution of child sexual abuse materials. Kalen Brennan Woodard, who goes by Kaelyn Nichole Woodard on social media, of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, has been charged with three counts of distribution of pornography involving juveniles.

Reporting on the arrest, most news articles referred to Woodard as a man and made no mention of his self-declared gender identity. However, Woodard’s personal Facebook profile contains several references to him identifying as transgender.

A blog post by Baton Rogue-based journalist Kiran Chawla states that officials were able to match Woodard’s email address and online username during a conversation with an undercover agent. During the interaction, Woodard sent a video and picture containing child sexual abuse material to the agent. According to Chawla, after his arrest Woodard admitted that he enjoyed incest porn and claimed to be sexually aroused by children.

Woodard’s arrest was the result of a joint investigation conducted by the FBI and Louisiana State Police which began in September. According to Chawla, Woodard said he was transgender in a chat with the undercover agent on September 23 2021, at which time he also told the agent he had sexually abused his young nephew and niece in the past.

According to arrest documents obtained by local news outlet WBRZ, Woodard also told the undercover agent that he had watched pornography involving children of all ages, “including babies.”

Norwegian University Required Students to Attend Fetish Club, Dress in “Rubber”

The sexology department at a Norwegian university headed by a trans-identified male and his wife prompted backlash after requiring students to participate in a fetish club as part of their research.

Tonje Kristin Jensen, a student at the University of Agder, told the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation that she decided to forego a study trip in Oslo after receiving a letter providing a required dress code that included fetish gear on the theme of “lacquer and rubber.”

The memo encouraged students to attend in erotic clothes, such as lace and thigh-high stockings. It wrote: “We have a dress code which relates to rubber, lacquer, leather, and the like. Or one can choose the erotic dress code, where lace, corsets and the like dominate. Girls can also not wear denim.” Jensen responded by saying, “I think the natural thing in this situation was that everyone should have been able to participate, on their own terms. If I wanted to go with my clothes, then I should have been able to do it.”

The university trip was planned for a fetish club called Cat People in Oslo. On its Facebook page, the club features several sexualized photos of women in bondage.

Trans-identified male Professor Emerit Esben Esther Pirelli Benestad, along with spouse and co-professor Elsa Almås, have been course coordinators and “central to the implementation of the study programme,” at the University of Agder, according to its website. The sexology courses instruct students on “trans-sexuality, transvestism, and other variations of gender identity” alongside sadomasochism and fetishism.

Benestad uses hir or they pronouns, and in addition to working as a professor of sexology at the University of Agder, also provides family therapy. In Benestad’s TED talk, published December 11, he says he began dressing “like a girl” in secret as a child and sighs, declaring, “It felt so fine.”

Benestad compares himself to indigenous people, saying, “I belong to an indigenous people. At all times we have been here, but we never had any land.”

Benestad goes on to claim that he, along with his wife, coined the term “gender-affirming treatment” as well as the expression “gender euphoria,” a term often used in online forums such as Reddit in the context of sexual arousal. Benestad also states in his TED talk that “as for sex organs… there are more options than two.”

Benestad’s spouse and co-professor, Elsa Almås, is the founder of the Norwegian Association for Clinical Sexology (NFKS). A July 25 Facebook post by NFKS celebrated “world BDSM day,” which it claims falls on July 24 as a play on 24/7, “a type of BDSM game where you are in the roles mostly all the time.”

The NFKS delivered a consultation response on a proposed bill to ban conversion therapy arguing that “there should not be an age limit, but a ban on all attempts to influence another person’s gender identity with the aim of change.”

In 2017, Benestad and Almås published an article in the Journal of Sexual Medicine titled, Autogynephilia and Autoandrophilia Revisited, which argues that the sexual arousal men experience through transvestic crossdressing should be normalized, and “interpreted not as an underlying paraphilia that is the primary motivation for becoming a woman/man (because the person is turned on by the image of oneself as a woman/man), but as a learned erotic variation that is natural in persons who are attracted to women/men, and to persons who experience the erotic qualities of womens’/mens’ garments.”

Almås is also a member of the Gender Dysphoria Affirmative Working Group [GDA], an organization that campaigns for the social and medical transitioning of minors.

On its official website, the GDA quotes pornographer and trans-identified male Zinnia Jones, who in 2018 tweeted, “If TERFs are going to get into slut-shaming trans women I feel like they really need to get up to speed because they have no idea how fucked up we really are. Furry porn? Mommy stuff? How about fisting, prolapses, enemas, huge insertions, gangbangs.”

On another occasion, Jones tweeted: “Literally 100% of trans people could be convicted rapists and that still doesn’t actually justify excluding us from the proper restroom.” Jones had also called for respecting Adolf Hitler’s gender identity in the hypothetical event he were transgender.

In 2018, The World Health Organization (WHO) removed Fetishism, Transvestic Fetishism and Sadomasochism as psychiatric diagnoses in response to lobbying by Norwegian group FRI.

The work to remove sadomasochism and fetish diagnoses was the Norwegian organization’s goal since 1996. The new classification defines Fetishism, Fetishistic Transvestism and Sadomasochism as variants in sexual arousal, in direct contradiction with research that has consistently correlated sadism with violence, including homicide.

Some research suggests that as much as 50% of sexual killers are sexually sadistic, and even higher rates have been found in serial sexual killers.
